I couldn't have said it any better than Mike Engle. We attempted to put on a great event and because YOU the fishermen took a chance on us, the event became a success. I will not speak for the other organizers, but when Charlie signed off with his last words of the day, the emotions of a months planning and then seeing all the fishermen at the ceremony really "moved" me. THANK YOU to all who participated and my good friends in the committee that also had to put up with my flatuation problem from time to time. Our committee will be having a meeting next week (while fishing of course) to discuss the good things and what needs to be improved on. Because their will be more time to plan, I'm sure we can find a Sat. w/ a sunday blow off sometime during the summer of next year. Tank: Yes, Pat is the one to speak to for a contribution. Great job and thank you. Jason: Great job in being patient with your set up, cause it paid off. I'll be getting the plaque engraved this week and get it to you in a week or so.

Sandy Creek Shootout Update 8/21 FINAL
Silver Fox replied to Silver Fox's topic in Open Lake Discussion
Now they are calling for East winds at some point! WTF they have no clue! I'll check the lake out by around 430am. If it's rougher that crap we'll make a call by 6am. I have a feeling we'll be getting out first thing. If this happens, its up to all teams to make their own decisions on when to come in. Remember weigh-in 1:30-2:30 and dont be late or we wont weigh you in. Remember with 29 teams and a fairly cheap entry fee including food, their is not a ton of money to go aroud due to the fact of we are paying 7 spots. The winner will receive a plaque that will be passed along to the winner every year. Your team name will be put on this. Wear your slickers and please be safe! This little tourny is not worth having problems. Good luck -
This has turned out to be bigger than we expected! Needless to say, we are stoked.

This will all be done immediately after the awards at 3:30pm. * Don't be late for the weigh-in! 2:30 sharp. If you plan on getting there before 2pm you won't have issues. Silver Fox replied to brucehookedup's topic in Classifieds - Buy, Sell, Trade or Rent
Hey Bruce. If I hadn't shot my load this year, I'd take them in a heartbeat. I've heard nothing but great things about them from a bunch of guys. If you still have them this winter i'll take them. -

Lyman lures -
Go w/ the 15's. I've been using them all year in all coditions and they have been flawless. I put them on my outside riggers in my 5 rigger spread w/ no issues. I weighed them and mine are pushing 16#'s a piece

Yeck Lures has agreed to donate a couple dozen lures and some shirts for this year. This kind of just fell into my lap today and they could be more involved for next years tourny also. Just to add on Keiths statement about non-fishermen and food. Please feel free to invite family and or freinds to the weigh-in. The more people, the better the atmosphere. Just purchase the extra tickets for food/drink.

Holy crap! Awesome job Keith said his plan on sunday is to fill up and run down there! lol. -
Well this is the last week before the tourny and so far everyone is pumped! Their are at least a few teams waiting till mid week to check the weekend weather, so I have a feeling we should have a great turn out for tournament. Check back later in the week for any final details for Sunday. I am also working on a cup trophy that we can add team names to every year. This is a list of boats(teams) that I will be adding to as I get payment confirmations. Paid entries so far: 1. Legacy 2. Nuthin But Net 3. Silver Fox 4. Escape 5. My Mink 6. Triple S 7. Started the day running down east of watoma and fishing to Braddocks looking for a Brown to put on the Orleans board. Fished 15'-30' for a couple hours and picked up just one small brownie. Then turned north to the 100'-160' area and headed back west looking for a good King. We took a couple small ones out there. We then put the chicken rigs down to find a laker to put on the board. Eventhough we marked a bunch of them, they didn't want to cooperate either. Still lots of cold water. The guys that went to over 500fow did fair to good on a mix bag of fish. I'll be out friday thru sunday this next week to do a bunch of derby and tourny fishing and it can't get here fast enough! Good luck

As we get closer, here are just a couple reminders: 1. Bring your own beer 2. I don't want to see anyone disqualified, so please, please, please DON'T BRING MORE THAN 3 FISH TO THE WEIGH-IN AND DON'T SHOW UP AFTER 2:30PM. If everyone tries to get to the weigh-in by 2pm we'll be all set. Everyone please print out the rules and take them with you and if their are any questions on tourny day, just call one of us. Better be safe than sorry. Jeff, your all set. I just added you to the list and thank you.

Glad to see you guys will be back out again. Not sure about the kings yet. Some reason I'm getting a bad feeling about the quantity not the quality. May have to start running soon 8 miles east or west to get better #'s. The offshore bite has been horrible for a week now too.
