  1. I can't make any sense of most of the regs in this state as it is, but I can eplain that I drink bud light lime.
  2. That derby should be 1-2 weeks later anyways. If your not on the west end then don't plan on winning it.
  3. First of all, Sodus is not a tributary. Second, if you don't know for sure that those fish are under 21" then why say anything at all? Since Bob is a Captain out of Sodus Bay, I'm pretty sure he knows the regs. Lets not make this like "ice shanty" where everbody questions everybody. Beautifull fish Bob.
  4. Thanks guys. I must have had the biggest straw that day. Everyone was catching the same size fish. I told Rob on the way in that we wouldn't have a chance, till I saw everyone's buckets w/ the same fish! Junkie- Glad you like the camera. It's never really been used.
  5. It wasn't a perch tourny. I did see a bunch down there from time to time. If your going for perch then I wouldn't target silver. Much easier in one of the bays along ontario. Thank you.
  6. Fished the Avon Anglers blue gill tournament w/ Rob (Legacy) and ended up winning it w/ 5 gills @ 1.94lbs. Rob had about 1.6lbs. ALL the fish everyone caught were in that 7-8" area. I just happend to have all mine around 8". Used a #14 red jig w/ waxies all day in 7-15fow. Ice is still good @ about 7" of clear. Avon Anglers were very organized and ran a fairly decent tournament. If anyone from that tourny reads this I would recommend putting the fish in the basket by hand and not dumping w/ the water. Good Luck.
  7. Your free gear will be pan fish hooks and awefull gold swivels. I was in it and I thought it sucked. The item that I got to keep and try out was about 1oz of sun freaking tan lotion! If you do not sign up to be a lifetime member than the bennies stink and they hound you all the time. I had to call them to stop sending me s$%t. Sorry for the rant, but I was extremely disappointed.
  8. Thanks
  9. Thanks for the reply. How long is the reg. good for? Like a boat @ 3 years?
  10. Just wondering what it would approx. cost me per year to register and have the cheapest ins. on a 1980 sled for ice fishing only? Just wondering if were talking $$50 or $300. Thanks
  11. Another slow day out there. 20 perch between the 3 of us and about 10 throw backs. Mostly tip-downs. Time for a change of scenery!
  12. I vouch for the tlc givin to that boat. One of the best boat mechanics in the lake owned it @ Sandy.
  13. The vex wont work in that 3 fow in there. Fish are there, but tuff sob's.
  14. I did like the open division. Not having to fish out of the same port was nice. Just run your cooler down to the weigh-in. Maybe adding a couple more fish would be cool. I don't like the amount of "prizes" that is givin to you as part of your winnings at all. Cash $ rules and that is one reason we fish the kotl in wilson instead of the niagara pro-am. BTW: Your not missing a thing.
  15. The open division will not grow if it is not treated like the other divisions. The results of the open division are only posted on the niagara part of the pro-am website. I'm sure everyone @ the other ports would have liked to of seen the results also. We fished the Sunday of the Orleans last year and I couldn't get Mike to respond to my e-mail about posting the results. We couldn't commit to both days and it was nice to at least do some competative fishing one day.Their were 9 teams each day of the niagara and about 10 teams the sunday of the orleans. I don't know about any of the other ones, but I think that's a decent start. Give the open division equal time on the website and it will probobly grow.
  16. At least neither of us told a fish story!
  17. Fished today w/ Yankee till about 11:15 and ended up only icing 1 pike. Had about 4 other flags (bumps) and caught a few perch jiggin. Lots of guys on the ice, but it looked and sounded like it was a slow day for everyone. Good time though.
  18. Boat look familiar Rob?
  19. Overhand.
  20. Does that mean we can finally take our unit off the dash now?
  21. 10'6" Diawa Great Lakes
  22. Went to sw side and fished 13-16fow. Didn't have my tip ups set till after 930 and fished till 2pm. Ended up getting 4 bass (2 under size & 2 about 15"), couple dozen small perch and a few gills. Had about 4 other flags go off, but was either too slow in getting to them or they spit it.
  23. Happy Birthday Larry! Awesome pictures Chad. Where are those knee high socks?
