  1. I agree w/ Rick. I purchased a 500' copper w/ tekota800lc reel and my learning curve was my pops untangling 300' of it that we put in a 5 gallon pail because I put it "down the shute" with the 3 footers at our side. I learned quickly that copper/dipsey's and flashers don't work very well together! I definately learned quickly and really enjoy the set up that Tom (A-Tom-Mik) hooked me up with. The line counter is well worth it.
  2. Does anyone else find the need to smash those lights at the top of the page just about everytime or do I have a problem?
  3. Great news Rick!
  4. We've had nothing but problems w/ our lowrance units. We had to buy a new one after a year and a half w/ what little credit they gave us towards it. Now this one is f@#$%%d up sometimes. Customer service sucks and they won't repair it because after only a year or 2 they discontinue the model and won't fix it. Gonna try to get by w/ 1 more year then it's a hummingbird. I think the first unit was a 19x and the 2nd is a 27lc. When it works it's great, but on the odd time it doesn't it pisses you off! Wish I could tell you how I really feel. I'm not the only one w/ problems either.
  5. Stingray glow gator in any conditions.
  6. I had mine sent back also. I'm afraid to try again. Post office used a sharpie on my envelope like a 4 year old in a coloring book!
  7. My thoughts are with you and your family. Gods speed on his recovery.
  8. Went and got mine monday morning. All you need is your drivers lic.
  9. Happy Birthday Keith. Hopefully your hunting today!
  10. Great job!
  11. Legacy and I went out sunday morning for about 5 hrs. We caught well over 100 and brought home 21 perch 8"-12". Most of them were on the bigger side and 16 of them were females. We also caught white bass, pike, bluegill, gobies and a lgmouth.
  12. This time of year they are lock jaw and are not much for chasing things. They will head up the streams toward the end or after the kings have been in. They like their eggs.
  13. A few years ago gander had a mess of them in both sizes for $3. I was a pig and bought all of them. I had heard that if you don't order 300 of any color scheme, they won't make them. Maybe stores don't sell enough of that color to order 300 of them.
  14. Are you still looking for tip ups. I have about 10 wooden ones I don't use anymore.
  15. MCF, I think you have come to the wrong place then. Letting us know the general area of this store would help a lot or us "tire kickers" will move on. If it was within an hour or so from me, I may take a look, because I don't know, then I won't be able to give any thought of making an appt. w/ you. Good luck in selling the stuff, I have to go change the wrap on my broken toe now.
  16. We have all diawa 47lc's that are from 2-20 years old and we have not once burned a clicker out. Some guys come on my boat and immediatly turn them off every time they reel in and then when I go set the rod, pull the lever back, "BIRDS NEST!" Maybe some guys have a habit of turning them off.
  17. I'm in if you do it. I'll take best available player cus I wont be able to draft.
  18. Ditto to what larry said.
  19. Black here
  20. Brian, "Wonderfull"? This is forcing me to bring out "Man Rule #7". "When on a fishing forum that consists of mostly men, you may never use the word "Wonderfull" or any other word that was mentioned on "Leave it to Beaver".
