Ray, I tried to raise some boats on the radio but got no response. Saw a few boats taking some nice eyes. My problem was the perch...I am sure I dragged some for quite a while before realizing they were on...they were too small to trip the dipsies or the releases. I ended up pulling all rigs every 10-15 minutes to check them and most of the time I had a perch on. My surface speed was 1.3-1.9. I ran boards for a while with no luck...most came on the DRs down 20-30' and back 40' Dipsie's I was running on #3 setting back 80'-120' It would have been nice to bring in more eyes but them perch are good eating too. Ended up with enough perch for a couple meals for the family! I didn't hear/see anyone catching small eyes...they were all 22"+ which is consistent with reports I have read on the web...

Ray, I fished Dunkirk Sunday and did Ok. Took 3 nice eyes (lost 3 more at the boat), 22"-26" and a bunch of yellow perch. most came on worm harnesses (black willow leaf blades with chartruese and pink tape) and a few on a black/gold jointed rapala. Marked fish all over but most eyes came in the top 20 fow and the deeper setups took the perch( several 13"-14" slobs). Even picked up a sheephead on the dypsey....mmmmmm good! I hear they have been taking thier share of eyes out of Barcelona as well... Good luck!

WARNING TO NEW CELL PHONE PURCHASERS

At work I deal with Sprint, T-mobile, and AT&T wireless service and I have come to realize that you will have problems with all of them at times. It all depends on the customer service rep that you get. Personally my family plan is with Verizon. I have great coverage where I travel/live as well as off-shore. I have only had one problem with them, but it tokk months to rectify. I had free "in network" calling but we were still being billed for minutes on in network calls. This resulted in several hundred $$$ in overage fees the first month. Called and was told all was correct and we would be credited for the charges. 2nd month same thing only >$400 in charges on top of the previous months charges. We owed $700+ now. Called again and was told the same...of course they didn't know how this oversight happened. Next thing I know our service was terminated. Called and explained the issue and it was "corrected" once again and service was resumed only to find a fee tacked on to our now higher bill for turnng service back on. This went on for 6 months with disconnect after disconnect and false promises to straighten out... Finally, I called and got a very "pleasant" woman by the name of Shenequa...or was it Shaneanea...maybe Moweesha...hell I don't remember.... She listened to my story of all the problems and promises only to tell me that the balance of $1400+ was what we owed and that i had gotten all the charge reversals that I was going to get. I asked to talk to a manager and she told me that there was no one there, and even if there was I wasn't going to talk to them. She even told me that she was tired of people like me trying to screw them out of money and proceded to hang up on me. DAMN!!!she pushed the wrong buttons! I was ready to hunt her down and give her a peice of my mind!. I was finally able to resolve the issue by doing some on-line research on Verizon Wireless. I managed to find out the Executive VP name and office number in Rochester to which I placed a call. I spoke with his Assistant who was very upset with the way I was treated and the issues that I was having. Needless to say she handled it for me through some of her connections and it was corrected that day! I only hope that there was a a log that showed who it was that I talked to so she could be dealt with! Sorry for being so long winded but just recalling this incident had me fuming again! -
Thanks Chris, Thats what I will have to give it a try next time I'm out.

"Just hope it's in opposite directions. Whatever you do, don't stop, he'll talk your ear off. " I just hope he talks better than he types...

Rob, How do you connect the mag leader to your main line (rubberband?) When I run a mup set I use two rods and a roemer release on the DR cable...Do you rig it like a slider and use a rubberband to hold the leader at the desired height above the ball?

Ray, I am very glad the surgery went well! Your Dad is over the hurdle and on the back stretch now. I will keep your family in my prayers. Even though we have never met Ray, I feel like I know you, like you are a good friend. I only hope that someday we will cross paths. Keep the faith brother.

I have a Minn Kota Vector 3X transom mount trolling motor that I got recently in a trade deal. It is the 80lb thrust/24 volt model as seen at Cabelas. I got this from a fellow LOU member and just have no use for it. It has been used very little and is in nice shape. It sells at Cabelas for $619.99...I would like $400 plus shipping or would trade for a down speed/temp unit in excellent condition. Would probably consider other fishing/hunting gear trades as well. http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/pod/standard-pod-wrapped.jsp?_DARGS=/cabelas/en/common/catalog/pod-link.jsp_A&_DAV=MainCatcat21276-cat602014&rid=&indexId=cat602014&navAction=push&masterpathid=&navCount=1&parentType=index&parentId=cat602014&id=0023254
