  1. I have always used a swivel and have never crimped. I use this knot to attach the swivel.
  2. Good luck Nick! Hope you make out better than we did!
  3. Got a late start yesterday morning heading up to the Bar for the first time this year... finally dropped the boat in the water at 1:30pm. Water was clear with 1'-2' rollers. Set up at the red can and trolled East. Marked a lot of smaller fish in the 15'-20' range over 55'-65' fow...but couldn't get anything to hit. I didn't hear much of anything going on on the radio. I threw a little of everything at em but no takers I did manage to pick up 1 dink salmon about 4:00pm on a Stinger "orangegasm" on a slider at about 10' down but nothing else. The water laid down around 4:30 and the fish disapeared...stayed out until 7:00 and never marked another fish. If you are heading out to the Bar, be careful!!! Lots of debris!
  4. Ray, I'll be there tomorrow (late start though) as well... Gray Alumacraft Trophy 170. I'd tell you to give me a shout but I fried my VHF yesterday. Hope to see ya on the board.
  5. Ray, You can probably stay home next weekend...I'll be catching the winner out of Wilson Sunday. Wouldn't want you to waste all that gas for nothing ...Just lookin out for ya buddy!
  6. Thanks for the replies guys! Ray, I might have found one already but am waiting to hear back from the gentleman this weekend. If for some reason it doesn't work out, i will be calling. Will you be heading up to Wilson anytime soon?
  7. I just aquired a 4hp outboard to use for trolling and am looking for a decent but inexpensive adjustable bracket to mount it on. Anybody out there got one they would like to sell? It doesn't need to be much as the outboard only weights 40-50 pounds at the most.
  8. My largest is 29 1/2 inches...never got a weight but I would venture a guess of around 9 lbs.
  9. Will be fishing out of Wilson for the first time this Sunday. Where can I launch and what are some of the landmarks that I should look for when on the water?
  10. I won't be able to get out until Sunday. Will be heading out of Wilson.

  17. Finally got out...first time this year due to engine problems. Headed out of Olcott early am. Trolled east-west at 280' Marked a lot of baitfish but just couldn't find the fish... Started trolling north-south 200-320' and managed a shaker, a knock off, and a 20 pounder...all in all, it was a fun day and felt good to be back on the water! Caught on a home grown blue/green fly behind a white/glow crush SD.[/img]
