  2. Kevin let use know if you need anything... I hope to see you on wednesday night in the apple orchard.......
  3. Way to go Kevin.... Are you on vacation this week.... Dale
  4. Chris it was very nice talking with you also... 3 for 7 is a decent morning on the lake. Tim (Finders Keepers) and I hit a decent brown first thing in the am then it was all kings and 1 steelie ending at noon 10 for 17... We had some pretty light hits and hits when we were trying to fight a fish or getting set-up... We talked with the guy that said he had a 38lber in his boat... They measure their fish by inches not lbs.. He pulled it out of his cooler in the parking lot and Tim guessed it to be a 22lb fish roughly 38 inches long....... I also went back out in the evening with Grady95 aka "Bob" and we whacked a decent king right off the bat on the wire out 300 foot and after a 10 minute fight the rod snapped in half(we still boated her though) so we through a 10 color core out after that...Bob did a great job wrestling that fish in with a 5 foot stump of a rod.. I even got a picture of it on my cellphone... We finished the night 5 for 7...... Jolly when are you going to move back to the lake I know where there is a nice little farm coming up for sale up the road from me and would be perfect for Pearl to play around in...... Dave(Holy Mackerel) it was nice putting a face with the name last night and thanks for the radar report last night thought we had a big storm coming in........ Dale
  5. Coup give us a shout when you hit the water and we are hitting the lake at 5:30 am so this will give us some time to figure the fish out.... Bob I thought that was you, just got home I had a softball game tonight. I looked to see if you were working on the baler or cutter in the driveway but I am sure the rain put a damper on things... Call me sometime tomorrow I am planning on hitting the water with you for an afternoon run sometime before 3:00.. Is the wife working or not tomorrow.... I am hopeing to put together a plan so we can get after them in the pm... Also you will need to bring a few things with you for our pm trip.......By the way I think we did a pretty decent job last night with the fast and furious fishing more like a ballet than keystone cops.... Dale
  6. Coup glad to hear that you did good this am... Tim and I will be heading out in the am also... The boat is the Mud Chicken and we will be on 68 if you want to give us a shout.....Dale
  7. Bowbender no I have a 21 ' brown and white Sylvan offshore aluminum boat. I picked it up over the winter for $700 as a project boat and she needs a couple more things to be completed.I love this boat and it has a 2.5 liter engine so I can troll all day on $15... Kevin the fishing has been hot for the last couple of weeks so Tim and I decided to work the kinks out before the Pultneyville Challenge and the Fall LOC.... Storms coming this afternoon not sure if we will be playing ball tonight... Nick we have a coldfront coming through this afternoon I am not sure what this is going to do to our fishing. I am may try to get out tomorrow but we will watch the weather....
  8. (Mud Chicken) : Fishing Report ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s): (7/28/09) Time on Water: (5:00PM – 8:30 PM) Temp/Weather: (80°F and sunny) Wind Speed/Direction: (Calm) Waves: (Calm) Surface Temp: (70°F) Location: (Pultneyville) LAT/LONG: (GPS Cords) =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: (9) Total Boated: (5) Species Breakdown: (5 Kings) Hot Lure: (Green echip with Atomik Green Crinkle fly, White echip with Green A-TOM-MIC Fly) Trolling Speed: (2.8 mph) Down Speed: Boat Depth: (105-140 ft) Lure Depth: (50-60 ft) I hit the water at 5:00 pm tonight with Tim (Finders Keepers) and we set-up in 100 fow with a 4 rod program and the screen was pretty blank... I started working towards a waypoint I had from my last trip in 135 fow.. Got to 115 fow and the port side wire rod started screaming that had the green echip with green crinkle atomik fly 185. Boated a nice 25lb and change king.. Got set back up and the port rigger fires 55 feet down over 120 fow with a white echip with green atomik fly.. While fighting this fish the port dipsey fired again and we got ourselves a double working... I lost my low teen king on the rigger rod and Tim boats a nice 20lb king on the dipsey..... Get back set up and the port wire goes again and as I am fighting this fish the port rigger fires again... Again Timmy and I are fighting a double... As we are fighting the double the starboard rigger fires with a NK MAG Raspberry spoon.... Wish I had a camera of this.. I am fighting the king on the wire rod Timmy is fighting the king on the rigger rod, he grabs the rod that just fired with the other rod in his hand.... I have never seen that before.... We never hooked up on the third fish of the potential Triple with 2 guys in a boat.. Absolute fire drill.....I boat a 24lber and Tim boats a nice 14lber... Get back set-up and the port rigger fires again and as I am fighting the port wire fires again we are working another double.... Now while Timmy and I are having the time of our lives we have this guy in a 21 foot Penn Yan who goes by us every single time we have our doubles and Tim and I are laughing and high fiveing each other... By this time it is 8:30 and getting darker so we decide to pull rods and get back to port to load the boat on the trailer... The guys in the penny are loading up also and he comes over to us and says did you guys catch anything..... I said we did pretty good.... He said pretty good every god@#$% time I went by you guys were both fighting fish....... They only caught 1 Laker but they were fishing 80-100 down over 100-140..... The only other thing biting tonight other than the Kings were the Damn flies.... I think they had bigger teeth than the kings.......... I will post a picture from tonight tomorrow when Tim emails it to me or maybe he can post the picture........... Dale
  9. Sean the other day we were out of Hughes and went 8 for 10 the good temp was 50-60 down and 100 to 140 fow was our best depth with anything green and a nk raspberry mixed in also. Our wires and core did most of the damage wires 150 and 180 and full core in the water with a stinger nbk.......... Dale
  10. Hey Kevin I did not get out Sunday due to my daughters birthday party prep. They usually hang on channel 68 out of Hughes.... I will talk with you wednesday night and will be hitting the water weds. and thurs.... Dale
  11. Chris, Pat and Dave, Congratulations on a nice fish and taking the summer cash.... I am sure you guys will have more finishes like this in the future.. I think you have the right combination working over the last year so keep up the good work... Unfortunately for you guys is that I am going to try my hardest to best you guys this Fall LOC...... Dale
  12. Sean that boat looks awesome against the sunrise over Seneca..... Congrats on a great morning of fishing....... Dale
  13. (Mud Chicken) : Fishing Report ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s): (7/24/09) Time on Water: (9:00 AM – 3:00 PM) Temp/Weather: (75°F and sunny, overcast, rain) Wind Speed/Direction: (NW at 8-10 MPH) Waves: (1-3 Footers) Surface Temp: (67°F) Location: (fishing location) LAT/LONG: (GPS Cords) =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: (10) Total Boated: ( Species Breakdown: (6 Kings, 1 coho,1 Lake Trout) Hot Lure: (NK28, Black Spindoctor with Green glow A-TOM-MIC Fly) Trolling Speed: (2.8 mph) Down Speed: () Boat Depth: (100-140 ft) Lure Depth: (40-6 ft) Got a late start out of Hughes today due to something called work. Fished with Tim (Finders Keepers) and my boss got set-up in 120 fow and as we set the last rod the Portside Wire rod went with a black spin doctor and a glow green Atomik fly, boated a nice king. Rods got quiet for us and everybody else fishing, so we kept at them and changed some things up and about 2 hours later all hell broke loose the core rod went with a nbk with the knot in the water, then the wire rod went again with a green echip and green crinkle fly went with a major screaming 500 feet of wire before the wire got hung up on the spool somehow and broke the wire.... I will be taking a trip to abes to replace a bunch of stuff from that. Nice pick after that of Kings with the other wire rod and core rod.. We picked up a nice 9lb Lake Trout on the black spin doctor with green glow atomik fly and then a one eyed coho on the only rigger shot just before the storms were coming in down 52 over 100... Best action was 100-135 fow for us....Could not be happier going 8 for 10 with such a late start of fishing... Talked with Holy Mackerel on the vhf and they were picking away at them today also... Good talking with you boys today.. Going to shoot for sunday morning, wife ain't going to be happy bout that... Otherwise maybe weds or thurs....... Woody.
  14. Chris I am pretty excited about fishing the Fall LOC. I think we may see a 40lber on the board with the size of these majors so far this season.. I will be out tomorrow morning to try a few different tactics... Stan The neighbor you see in the picture is a huge help to my business in the Fall during Deer Processing Season and he is a hardworking nice guy. We have been talking for a few years about fishing together and it finally fell into place.. He is pretty good on a rod once the fish is hooked. I plan on getting him out next week also, he is also a wealth of information... Those pants I cannot tell you how many times they have been saved cause the wife was about to toss em in the garbage. I told her they are the most comfortable pair I gots...... Dale
  15. Keith I had a report that the fishing was better out in 200-225 fow so that is where I was heading. I always have a plan of how I am going to fish and the plan was to setup in 150fow and troll on a nw heading to 225fow and see what would happen and how the screen looked... Once I hit 215fow I decided beacuse of the 1-3 footers that I would work back to 150fow just zigzagging.. It worked 3 for 6 for 4 1/2 hours of fishing... Tim the screen looked good with occasionall fish in the 80-110 down but not one baitpod on the screen..Wires were out anywhere from 260-360 and I was collecting quite a bit of weeds on them. It could have been the presentation that is why they were quiet...Dale
  16. BP you can pay as you go for the Bear Creek Launch... Stop by the Ontario Town Hall and they will explain to you that is $5.00 to launch and that you can only use the launch on weekdays not weekends..... Ginna has been using the launch exclusively in recent months for a major project and they are going to upgrade the entire launch area once there project is complete this summer....... Dale
  17. Kevin nice report on the Lakers. We had a good morning today for the Kings... You and I need to do a swap... U take me to Seneca and I will take you out on LO for the Kings.... I will see you tomorrow night at the game...... Dale.
  18. (Mud Chicken) : Fishing Report ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s): (07/21/09) Time on Water: (7:00 AM – 11:00 aM) Temp/Weather: (65°F and partly sunny) Wind Speed/Direction: (Ne at 10 MPH) Waves: (1-3 Footers) Surface Temp: (68°F) Location: (pultneyville) LAT/LONG: (GPS Cords) =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: (6) Total Boated: (3) Species Breakdown: (3 Kings) Hot Lure: (NK28 glowfrog, White Spindoctor with Green A-TOM-MIC Fly) Trolling Speed: (2.9 mph) Down Speed: (1.8 mph) Boat Depth: (200 ft) Lure Depth: (80 ft) I hit the water with one of my retired neighbors that has not fished for Salmon for many years. we started right off the bat in 150 fow down 120 on a mag glowfroggy. The neighbor lost it.. Got set back up and the glowfrog fired again and after another short fight he lost another King.. Got back set up and around 200 fow we had a hit on a white spindoctor and glowgreen atomik fly... Lost another.. I told him next release I would stick it and he could fight it...Thats what happened.. Glowfroggy went again and i stuck him 120 down over 205fow... As we are fighting that we had another major hit the white spinny down 102.. Boated both fish.. Later in the day we took another 22lber on a glowfroggy all rigger action...Wires were dead......
  19. Andy, I have been launching my 21' Sylvan out of Hughes Marina on the Williamson/Sodus Border... Nice fishing and nice people out there... Let me know if you want to get after them kings soon..... Dale.
  20. Just rebuilt the carb and replaced a cracked fuel line today.....
  21. Andy, Nice looking chinook.. I hope Jackson got to reel in that badboy... I am hopeing to get the boat in the water in the am with the neighbor. What are you fishing out of right now.... Dale
  22. Tim I have the Diawa 47LC reels on the 10 1/2 foot eagle dipsey rods. One thing I found with my 47LC's that the counters are not super accurate. If I run the counter to 300 feet I may really be out 330 or 340 feet.. I think each reel's counter is a little different...When I had the Penn GTI reel on my dipsey rod I counted 10 feet on every pass of the line guide. This seemed to work pretty good for me and that set-up. Now your Walkers surprised me with running them out like we did the other day and we still did not bump bottom... I think we will have to test them on a #2 setting and run in to shallower water to get an accurate reading for the counter on the reels.....Woody
  23. Julie nice report but I believe your line was fouled by the horrible spiny water fleas... They are in full bloom right now..... My 30lb ande fishing line will not even repel them..... Woody
  24. I can email pics of the outboard and the PW50... The outboard price lowered to $350.00 and the PW50 to $400.00... I also have a fold away attic ladder for FREE!, I just want it out of the garage... It is great shape..... If nobody wants the ladder it will find its way to the burn pile....... Dale
