Hi Rod I tweak the rules yearly as needed as situations arise, we had an interesting ordeal once as an angler entered the line without the cooler, I guess I couldn't argue the fact that I hadn't clearly stated that fact, you must also be in line WITH your cooler, as you have also inquired it is merely implied. Not a bad question at all, but yes you MUST enter/exit from Oswego and/or Cayuga County I will also be fishing with my 2 children, will be glad to see you Tom

The new rule will read like this: Team Structure: Teams are not limited to a maximum number of anglers. Allowable max number of rods will be based on 4 anglers (12 rods). If you fish fewer than four anglers you may only run the number of rods allowed by law (3 per angler). The reason is we have involved many charters in our event each year, we do not not want to restrict or detour charter involvement. Tom

Keep this in mind: I answered a call on the VHF 4 years ago, a boater was in distress as they had broke down, as most of us always are I had a busy day scheduled after my morning fish, we had just finished our trip and ran in from about 8 miles out. I was with my children who also had plans later in the day, I'll admit, the last thing I wanted to do was run back out on the water and delay my day, I asked my kids if they minded running back out (the distress call was about 5 miles off shore) to help a fellow boater out, they said "YES DAD!!! "what if it was us?"!! So off we went, lent a hand and towed them in. A month later in rather rough weather low and behold I found myself in 200 fow and my engine died. I had my g/f's daughter with her b/f and another of their friends on board, it was their first trip and they were unsettled to say the least. I made a call to the coast guard, I told them I had 3 teenagers on board scared out of their mind. They told me to call a few friends and more or less as long as I wasn't sinking they could not help at that point in time. I had a local Charter boat "Reel Fun" Captained by Dave Burkhart come to the rescue !!! Just Sayin Tom

Our weigh in location has been finalized, I never knew it would take this long or this many meetings to use city space, however our events happenings will take place on the east side of Breitbeck park East of the bell and West of the Mc Crobie building, this area is also west of Wrights landing marina Tom

Congratulations to Lynn Thomson and Team Hot Wires for their win This years event saw record numbers of adult Sharks A special thanks to Lester Zimmerman for all his hard work with the kids trophy's and awards. I must say as I fished with my 2 children and shared a true "Once in a lifetime experience" as we fought large Sharks !!! Like a blessing in disguise I will NEVER forget that day fishing in 2 to 3 ft waves with smiling faces at times and pale faces at times as we shared the highs and lows of landing and losing these fish. Quiet times followed by high 5's were running rapid throughout the day. Lester lost his son Shane and I am sure he recalls many memories of the same. Lester does a great job with a heavy heart at these events. THANK YOU LESTER !!! Not sure what you mean Ray and I don't recall the bashing, but all is well with you an I as far as I am concerned !! Vince, We hope to get there, I think we will !! Funny how fishing is so great but as I drive by many marinas along the South Shore so often it is a ghost town after 2 pm. Except for maybe the weekends, a sign of the times at the present moment I guess. Word will spread, fishing is off the charts in many areas of the South Shore, those of us who are able to "frequent the scene" are truly blessed. I can't wait to shake up O-Town a little and fill the air with the competitive atmosphere it deserves. Kings are here, they are everywhere, its a great thing !!! I'm going to enjoy them as much as I can or go broke trying, lol (:
