UNOFFICIAL Over-All 2010 KOTL results These are the numbers I crunched including the 10 points per fishing event The 3 letters following each team represent whether or not that team participated in Dalhousie, Wilson & Whitby Again they are unofficial and I am also uncertain if any new teams joined the over-all chase prior to Whitby Also keep in mind these numbers and placements can change substantially due to the many blow-offs, if we receive just one blow-off day at Oswego or the fall Dalhousie, then the spring Dalhousie's placements can come back into play Good luck to all in Oswego, it could be a duplicate event of Whitby or even bigger than the Whitby event possibly !! 1) Striker 476.62 YYY 2) Vision Quest 452.01 YYY 3) Rockets 443.71 YYY 4) Hot Rod 440.62 YNY 5) Two Fish 439 YYY 6) Pandemonium 411.22 YYY 7) Get It Wet 410.17 YYY Royal Flush 388.35 YYY 9) North Shore Sportfishing 383.42 YYY 10) Thrillseeker 383.41 YYY 11) Pacific Time 359.46 YYY 12) Mid River 352.45 YYY 13) Wave Tamer 316.62 YYY 14) Fastlane Fishing 244.32 YYY 15) Big Water Challenge 238.68 YYY 16) Team Last Minute 82.70 17) A-TOM-MIK 82.37 YYN 18) Reel Hooked Up 72.96 YYY Tom

Ok guys, Will take it all into consideration Involving more shops to sign up at is a great idea This is my first season as taking over as the major sponsor and playing a role in decisions Your ideas will help us greatly in the future As far as spreading the "eligible area" I will have to look into the current reasoning for that, each and every boat is important, I am just unsure at this point why that boundary is in place. I will find out, but for our 2010 A-TOM-MIK event all boundaries stand. Again, thank you for taking the time to respond with your thoughts, all reasonable input will certainly be looked at !!! Thank you, Tom

Progressive LOC Boat Derby, make it happen in 2011
A-TOM-MIK replied to Patriot's topic in Open Lake Discussion
A a guilty one (me)................ maybe all those willing to participate should give Dave a call with our credit card numbers so he can run them at will on a given date for 2011: Not to burden David with a heavier work-load than he already has, but if he is willing maybe this will work ....... ? I THINK WE HAVE A INFILTRATOR !!!!!
A-TOM-MIK replied to ray koziatek's topic in Open Lake Discussion
Culprit: = Fish gods !!!!! Will let you know after Whitby KOTL, this coming weekend, as a possible CRUSH-MODE is currently in the making !!!! I've been as upset as anyone, Just think of the Kings Lady O is hanging onto however In seasons past we have harvested as many as 1500-2500 lbs. per event, up to as many as to 9000 lbs. of fish in Niagara a few years back We have saved a lot in 2010 so far Ray Yes, I would rather of killed more fish than we have but hey, sometimes always a bright side to our dis-likings !!! Currently areas of the North shore spreading as far as the Scotch Bonnet to the east are littered with Kings A percentage of which that aren't caught will make their ways home to southern shores (:~~ Tom -
Here is a totally bias opinion, but what the heck try a few of them out and if you don't catch squat you can always look me up, He He He This can also be a very port oriented opinion, so keep in mind different ports with different depths and different water clarity's will always play a key role in proven hot patterns you may not want to leave the dock without Also keep in mind more importantly than "colors" most often are lead lengths on your flies, (18" to 24") start off with 22" (measured from head of fly to end of loop on leader) and stretch from your trolling weight or diver and the biggy of them all: speeds at the lure or weight (2.2 mph is a good starting point) I would have the say the single hottest attractor/fly combo on Lady O over the last 4 to 5 years would have to be a white attractor and a #T102 Hammer Fly, it very well may have killed more adult Kings than any single color pattern/lure type/ or offering "out there" in a comparable amount of time !!! It really has been that good, we have sold tons..... Next in line "in no certain order" but deserve their allotted amount of respect would be any of the following: In general: Green attractor / green fly (#23 or #29) Green glow attractor / green glow fly (#41, #146, #164) Mtn Dew attractor or chrome / mirage or B-Fly Type (#73, #97, #106, #204) Few super hot specific: 8" White green dot spinnie / #T102 Hammer (All the time) 8" #70350 spinnie / #T41 Green Glow (Favors over cast but can be ran at all times) 8" Mtn Dew #70005 spinnie / #T106X Big Fin B Fly (Sun) 8" White or white glow attractor / #43 White Glow Fly (Overcast) ran first thing in am only first hour Chrome attractor / #T97 or L204 (Sun) I am sure others can chime in with their hot set-ups As far your question about stretch from the rigger, our best this season talking western basin and fishing green water has been 10 to 15 ft. If you are fishing predominantly black or clearer waters we will stretch em back a bit further (unless targeting Kings over 80 ft down, then we still will use a tighter stretch like mentioned), usually 10 to 15 ft. In the upper parts of the water column in clearer waters and when fishing a bit above the break in the warmer water we will stretch our shute rigger back 30 to 60 ft at times HIH Tom

We strongly recommend a team representative to attend the captains meeting !!!! I had to DQ a team 2 years back as they arrived at weigh-in 1/2 hour late. It is very important all the rules are understood. A DQ is not fun on either side. Tom

I'm also guilty I was one of the originals to E mail Dave my confirmation It was on me at that point to sometime in the future call in with my credit card # Something of which I never did Very sorry, all of us who did much in the same would be where the blame lies....... ( IMO ) Tom

No special entry for the Triple Crown: Yes St. Peters is the only place for entry for the 2010 Oswego event, I am sure we will broaden that for future reference. Next season I plan on building a site for the events with online registration, and we also plan on adding what we can to the event Due to liability on A-TOM-MIK and ease on us our decision was to keep it simple for this year The Little Salmon River venue has had well over 100 teams in the past (: It would be great for Oswego to work towards that goal Tom
-
Just an update: We have a potential 25 teams looking to fish the over Triple Crown (: Last year we had about 18 Thanks to all Tom

To re-iterate the ports that are eligible for our 2010 A-TOM-MIK Challenge I posted a couple maps that clearly note boundaries: To the East it would be the Sandy Creek area and Sandy Pond as noted on the map To the West it would be the Fair Haven area and Little Sodus Bay as noted on the map After a couple personal messages and E mails I would like to make an additional note: As stated in rule #1:  Teams may enter and exit from any port in Oswego or Cayuga County. I believe the confusion has arisen due to the fact another event, a pre-fish event for the Oswego Pro/Am (A-TOM-MIK/Fat Nancy's Pre-fish Friday) we actually allowed some boats to leave their ports and fish towards Oswego or Mexico THIS IS NOT THE CASE FOR THE 2010 A-TOM-MIK CHALLENGE Thank you for understanding If you would like further explanation please call me 315-207-0391 (you may need to try more than once) Tom

We had a 29" Atlantic (10+ lbs) hit a core off a big board, I was on the rod and was claiming the entire time it was a "shaker skippy" and that I was hoping it would be big enough to box, then it reaches the back of the boat and I was WRONG !!!

We had a few little speckled rainbow trout with shoulders................ so leave my buddy rob alone (:

From chatting with most of these teams in the last 2 days and a bit from memory I can add from the pro side: Screamer won Obviously 8 more of the top 10 teams in no certain order include: Reel Excitement (Bob Songin), Cold Steel (Tom Burke)(7th), Sunrise 11 (Bob Stevens)(10th), Vision Quest (Pete Alex)(8th), Top Gun (Greg Gehreg), Hotline, Thrillseeker (Vince), Devonian (Mark Lewis)(3rd) Tom

15lb Torpedo Divers downrigger weights
A-TOM-MIK replied to DEFIANCE1's topic in Tackle and Techniques
Thanks guys !!! Just to clarify, our A-TOM-MIK Torpedo 13# and 15.5# weight is an entirely different weight than that of the "Torpedo Diver" trolling weight Our 13# Torpedo has been proven since the 1980's with next to zero issues ever since, please be sure when you head to your local shop that your asking for the right weight Very sorry for the inconvenience Tom
