Any of you experienced with out of state hunts?
Jeff J replied to Yankee Troller's topic in Big / Small Game
Yankee, Make sure when you do that elk hunt that you can do it more. It gets in your blood. Leaving for my third trip middle of Sept. When they say it's 10X more exciting than turkey hunting they are being conservative!! I've never hunted pronghorn but out west is assume!! Jeff -
Rod, I guess it's time to chime in. I think I should be able to do the 6 tournaments. Still working it in gradually. I'm also trying to get more info on the Scotties hopefully this weekend. The EPSFA tournament this weekend and I'm probably going to fish it. Talk to you later. Jeff

hooking fly leaders to spin docs
Jeff J replied to bretter's topic in Questions About Trout & Salmon Trolling?
I use the opti corkscrews. Work well for me. Make a surgeoans loop in the fly leader at the length you want and twist it onto the cork screw. Works great. Jeff -
What's the best way to attach your cooler to the boat?
Jeff J replied to jimski2's topic in This Old Boat
I use a rachet strap from the tow hooks, through handles, and around cooler. Works great for me and easy to take on and off. Jeff -
Rodney Of course it was in fun. You do a great job tying knots. I'm a little surprised by the results. Jeff

Wilson Harbor Salmon Slam 2008 Thank you
Jeff J replied to wilsonboatyard's topic in Open Lake Discussion
I would also like to say a big thank you to all the people that I met and the Wilson Boat Yard for an expierence I won't forget. Thanks Rod for letting me fish with you. It was a great time and we will be doing it again soon!!! Good luck to all the teams in the upcoming events. Jeff -
Great pictures!!! I know exactly what you mean about the kids. Have been taking my son up to Lake O from Erie for the last 5 or 6 years. I hardly touch a rod the whole time except to set them up. We went 12 for 16 this past weekend and I only got to reel in the shakers. It's great to watch the kids with those bigger fish. Took another friend and his son this weekend and they caught their first kings. Great time. Wish we had found more of the bigger fish though. Jeff Jackson

I'll add another vote for Verizon. Use to have Nextel and switched to Verizon a couple of years ago and have had no problems so far. We have a total of 6 phones for my business, set up on the family share plan with all the minutes pooled together.

I also have a sub trol and like it alot. Have heard alot of good things about the depth raiders as well. I don't think you could go wrong either way. The info that you get is very valuable. Jeff

I agree with the posts above. I think that there is a way to give the Captains recognition and still give us little guys some too!!! We pay the same fees and our names are listed if we are lucky enough so why not our boat names. Even the port is listed along with tackle, etc. So what is the big deal about boat names that are not offensive??? Jeff
