i'm looking to buy a used 1994 Yamaha T9.9elrs for trolling . My question is how can i know or maybe someone could tell me if it will put some sort of charge back into my batteries when trolling?

Tbarb i know i should have explained clearer. well the rear post is attached to the back of the cannon downrigger by a clamp and a duel rod holder is set screwed to the top part of the pin. this holds the rod holder and prevents it from turnning.they sometimes are alluminum but i am looking for those made of the plastic cannon type material.
i have 4 rods that have never been used but tags were removed. 3 are 9 ft and one 8.6ft they are 3 medium to heavey and 1 medium light action for $50 plus shipping
CANNON SPEED AND TEMP UNIT,$300 PLUS SHIPPING, includes monitor, probe and about 375 ft of coated cable, this outfit was only used one time on LO.this is a great buy considering the cost of a probe
i have a very expensive Lowrance fishfinder that has a problem and needs repair.the company doesn't make repaires after a few years. Does any body know someone that could repair these units. It doesn't seem right to just to through a $1800 unit out after a few years so you should consider this when buying Lowrance products.
i want to thank you for your info, i was begining to think my question was stupid but i really tried to think of every thing before i use it for the first time
i plan on useing 500 ft of copper off an otter boat, my question is does it slide out easy with out getting stuck because of the weight and what kind of release will slide out and hold this much copper?
SHADE, a cheap way to help your problem is purchase a piece of 1 inch alluminum conduit cut it in half insert your rigger ends and you will have 6 foot booms off the side of your boat for a bigger spread ,thats what i did and no problems.
say RAY , I been giving thought to those keel sinkers, question is do you use them on a long rod so to be abel to have a long leader and what depth is your guess the 1.24 and 2.24 gets you?
my question is does it hurt your lead core line if you atach a release to it fishing with a planer board or do you have to let the entire full colors out and then fasten to the release?
HEY BILLY V i do appreciate you for that information don't get me wrong and please continue to supply that information .But what i was getting at that there are cheaper ways than sending out your downriggers. as CBISH stated the item only cost him $14.00 and it doesn't take rocket science to connect the ends.the cost is really about $30.00 UPS AND i don't have a service center close to my home .
Thats just real great .I have 2 mag 20 and i will run down and mail them right out for $60.00 and every thing is all right. Why can't they just send you the new cords so you don't have to pay that unnessary freight.
