i have the nautic path chip and it covers all the coastal waters in the U.S.A. including the Great Lakes, I also have a Narvonic Gold chip that shows the same detail but just a smaller area and you would need several chips to cover the area the nautic path covers. i would go for the nautic path.
capt ace, are you running your probe with out changes. you just run your dubro release above the probe and weave your cable through the original connection on thje probe the way cannon meant it to be.does this connection feel safe to you.it looks sone what ,like you could lose the probe to me i don't know that is why i am asking.
thanks for the input ,but i have another question. i saw jeff lantiegne and maniac's set up but i like the blacks release and can't seem to figure out how i can add it to there set up, any help.
I'm looking into buying the Cannon speed and temp but really want to know all its flaws an how you compare it with the Depth Raider or Subtroll or are they compareable .I don't see any body jumping up and down over cannon units ,i would like to know why.
i have a friend who has Scotty Downriggers, he wants to go with braided downrigger cable. he wants to know how the bead on the cable activates the short stop. does the bead trip something or what?
I just bought the NauticPath USA chip .off of the internet the chip covers all of the east and west coastal waters including the Great Lakes, it gives depth readings the same as the NARVONICS gold chip and you only need one chip. LEI sells it for $109 v. $199 for the narvonics . i would check it out before you buy to see for your self.
Ray, i'm glad you brought this up about the GPS. We fished this past week end on the Niagra and we thought our GPS went bad because it showed us our boat was on a street in Lewiston. Our unit was a GARMIN
i just got 2 Big Jon's that are mounted on a narrow track. They are spring loaded and adjustible . They look sturdy for my dipsy's so if any body else has them let me know what they think.
has any body checkedin on LEI 's chipthe NAUTICPATH .US coastal waters it looked like it may be a good chip for LAKE ONTARIO. it looks like it gives good depth readings and price is $109.90
i been checking on this unit and found that some people had a problem with the screen fogging up . those who own one of these units ley me know how your's is.
i have a question on super braids or moo working on cannon downriggers.how will cannons short stop work when useing this stuff in place of wire?cannon uses its cable to stop your ball at the water line.
Sponge, what i meant was that if i am in say 600ft of water could i look at say every thing in 60ft to 120ft and cut out the rest of the areaon the screen.
i have another question. i now own a Lowrance unit,i set my screen to mark upper and lower limits so i can scan a smaller area. will the ds600x raymarine unit allow me to do this?
i can only say that if it hangs up you would have a serious problem. i had a rubber band hang up on the first eye and it tore most the eyes off the pole before it shedded the wire and busted every thing off
looking at a raymarine ds600x fishfinder. any one that has one or seen one could clue me in on what they think of this fishfinder would greatly appreciated.
