  1. rats this was getting good ..nice buck for shure.the 3 in eye guards take away some pasaze..In the pic it does look "boney" was it injured and couldnt eat or 1 buck with 100 doe..might do the same..I shot one 30 years ago nice rack but a skinny little feller....

Love it when a "plan" works out..and the 10 sec window is the best part of any hunt..Dont get me wrong i love the rush of watching a big deer come at ya with all the time in the world ,,Its just i have had more "blink and ya miss it" situations work out for me.....always be ready...Good for your team...

  8. probly dont need to say more but the oll legs on a 45deg hill in 2 in of snow and a light traveled deer trail,got the best of me yesterday..If anyone has one or know where one might be had asap..please call 607 769 7947...........mighta been hard enuf to do my scope in too . im bidding on one on e bay but 4 days out,,and as soon as i buy a new one 10 will pop up..wish i had a back up 270...hint...hint call....   10. This is the first time i havent hunted this day in 27 years,just couldnt hunt on Jerrys B day..with any luck many of those shots could be dogs

  12. saw a big boy this morning at 100yds but he wouldnt pose,, just as the snow started..I love the hunt,now that i found his area it puts the ball in my court....only problem its on a side hill and my old knees don,t like that like the old days ...(young days)

  14. I tink i saw a putty cat,i did idid ,idid see a putty cat..when i was a kid their was a small circus on rt 414 just outa corning and i saw a female lion eat the neighbors chicken the next day it was outside its cage waiting to get back inside ..so i could say i saw a lion in ny..kinda cool

  16. yes agreed guppy ,he could start his own forum....then he could be practicing his studies ,i could be his spelllll chack...... with 10000 members some good polling info is at his fingertips..their are some good experianced hunters on this site for feed back as to whAT IS SEEN IN THE WOODS opps..

  20. dang nice deer ,opps forgot the doe....ok scary angle take out the top of the lungs and they run 100yds. sometimes like a clean miss....

  22. looks gnarly,,,,am i the only one who grinds that 15 to 20 lbs of neck meat?? I like the double lung shot my self...gives my inner beagle some fun tracking.and time for the heart to pump the blood outa the meat..good for you ...except the hard drag part..be carefull don't want "the big one" draggin out a deer..thanks for sharing.
  23. good for driving the deer to ya,i cant imagine a hawks view from the tree tops..Back in the day We flew a wonded vet home for thankgiving in Pa. I was hanging my head out the helocopter door at 2000 ft it was amazing the deer i saw the last 10 miles flying VFR to a small airport..
  24. still a first for me .....to see this..hey a plummers torch removes hair in a fraction of a sec...folks in Illinois never heard of it. they were amazed at how fast it works...hell i thought everyone did it...might try it on my back this winter after a good snowfall dont want to ignite the neighbor hood with the fireball..
