  4. all you guys should take note of gps to down speeds and at different directions unless the lake is really swirling after a good blow you can stay i the ballpark with your notes if you loose battery(no spare) ,single for what everreason or worse case the whole probe
  5. bob the mechanic at arnies is very good so ive heard and they are honda dealers...a tad further is hank at port bay also top notch (so he says ) and a fair price to boot.. L&m repair and charters...
  6. Good for you sir,and if USMC is to you what it is to me ...Thank you for your service...what town ya from maybe i could find room for another jarhead on a trip to ontario...
  7. No Tom i ant got no affiliation with the board justa another fisherman trying to do what in my little pea shell might be a good thing .............. PEGASUS Thanks Again for hearing one guy who speaks up even if its not the right place to speak aloud . Thanks Again.
  8. Thank You Sir, I understand you and your decisions much better. I know I might of been outa line to start this post and for that im sorry if I've stepped in "IT" AGAIN... My recent post of "WOULDA COULDA SHUDA " was my reason to start typing away . At least in theory, guess Id rather take some "HEAT" or ridicule of myself . So what "would"be the right thing? What "could " I do to help? What" should " we do tomorrow? Thank You, Ray K.
  9. Yes BIG Weenie I know . As past president of the National Cinderella softball assc. Ive delt with every thing from disgruntled parents, coaches other leagues ,umpires ,sponcers, city councel, newspaper reporters, but never the"" Kids""" that were my prime goal to have a good time under the leadership of my board and myself...The Man who always kept my eyes to the ground is a 10th degree black belt and runs 2 dojos and he gave me the best advise from day one in my Volenteer position that any person could ever have in my position "EVERY DECISION AND EVERYTHING WE DO MUST BE FOR THE GIRLS AND TEAMS"".. those 13 words kept me (us)on track on every decision we made we grew from 1500 girls a tournemet season to near 3000 by the time i stepped down. I might not point to any paticular mfg. in my reports But I gots one of those big, big weenie decales on my boat, i have great sucess with yours siggs and toms flys and products..I have at least 50 or so of each of above mentioned flys probly closer to 100 each but dont tell the wife(mine). I want to thank you ALL for your efforts in research ,products, and most important SPONCERSHIPS OF ALL THE DERBYS YOU GUYS AND OTHERS DO. the box of flys and the 50.00 bucks were a nice gift for guys like me who might struggle one day and bounch back another. We might not of taken 1st but by gosh I done got me some new flys ,box, and a few bucks to enjoy future fishing..plus Its boost my spirit a little of entering next years derbys.....So like Mr. Beecher says check out your shoes Ray. Even in defeat I smile and tell him thank you Sir.
  10. OK TOM . im gonna try and put you up against the roaps.. Well we bought your products when a fly was thought of a bait used by flyfishernen to most. WE bought every newest and greatest producer till our tackle boxes were replaced by FLY storage boxes.. You came a long way from single trebels to double hooks and rattles. Now when we unload our boats for the winter because of you we must sneak in our "few" flies at night after the wife is asleep so they dont see them "ALL" Ive used your product in the Fla.Keys with a little retrofitting to the leader and will perfect it this year. I was catching 40in plus King Mackrel in 20 ft of water with a canoe.. so I might be able to return a favor down there. We all have read the "LOU post" as to why you pulled from the PRO/AM DERBYS ...sometimes in life we get kicked ,punched, and drug through the dirt dispite being nice guys. We ,your supporters, derby entrants, and friends ... are the ones who are getting hurt for your withdrawing from your Generous sponcerships... So from a guy who fishes from a tin can ((and im shure all the way to the 40ft plus) boat..As a very good smart friend has told me many times look at your shoes and do the right thing.. Thank You Ray Koziatek ""TEAM PEGASUS""
  11. Back away from the keyboard and you will live to see tomorrow !!! If you call Barcolina harbor those guys at the launch will give you a very accurate report.. Im shure Capt.John ."Times two" charters will perk up here ..Too If things are going as well as they were setting up to be the reports should be EXCELLENT !! The way the winds have been and hearing C.G. warnings of 60 mph gust on eastern end of Erie this weekend might have a tad effects to any reports..
  12. yea i know ..When i get old like him ill probly end up with the klackers too ,,but for now some rest, and proper use and care and ill still get around for a few years..
  13. Great job "team" V ,, sunday bumps were kinda fun eh..if anyone on your boat ever complaines about the waves feel free to call on the radio and we will do a on water (underway) transfer after 20 min on my alum can..ill charge him 100.00 to transfer back to your boat and well split the 100. Actually the timing of the waves were perfect for my boat that day ...and i could RUN into them at 8 mph with a fun ride cept those little slappers every 10th or so...Yea dispite my efforts and results Team Pegasus is hoping to do a few proams next year Lord willing...MAYBE we could get in 4 derbies with good wind and weather ......slap,slap .....wake up wake up..
  14. well im not shure if its the length and natural slack of copper but if you fish enuf to test my little therory try a long clear snubber8 ft from the lure ...sorta like a dypsy snubber, leader setup....Maybe the snubber will keep a better "steady" pressure on the hook during a bumpy day retrive....Worst yer gonna do is loose fish , stealth and bites ???? If I are right youll know due to your own experiance of copper "unbuttons" Ray.K.
  15. If you decide not to follow others advice and want to run 2 down the shoot save yourself some time on the water ...in your driveway let out 100ft from each rod gather it all up in a ball and then untangle..you might need to do this several times to perfect the art of untangling copper before you try it in 3 ft water... Hope this helps..
  16. one of my new mag 10s was doing the same called factory and thet gave me quite a list of possabilitys.....but what i found was the bearing behind the clutch knob was dry from factory and the through shaft was dry as a popcorn fart too...small groves were worn in washers on either side of "flat"bearing flipped washers greased shaft and bearings and no problem ,now this one started to clunk after 3 trips out of the box so maybe the cannon line ant what it used to be,also 2 of 3 motor mount bolts were stripped from factory,,..they wanted me to send in for warrenty but 2 days before derby wouldnt give me time ,,,my old cannons are working fine after 23 years so i Know they are cheaping there stuff... I am very good at repairing bout anything and to buy new cannons would be a mistake in my book..plus now they quite making the old style swivel lock pins so if you got em your S.O.L. Till some company with 1/2 of a brain starts making them
  17. Know any fat chicks that like to fish?? Dave thats gotta be a lie!! Well unless that 4ft X 8ft sheet of plywood on the starboard side (trim board ) is a tad big for your side try trimmin off a few inches.. Next time im out having a burger and sucking some sun I dont need anyone takin my pic for the whole world to see...you guys are really ganging up on a little guy. hmm wheres my donuts??
  18. FROM the capt .meeting to weighins ,either i missed it or wasnt there for the PROPER THANK YOU TO ABES RESTURANT!!! With parking being so limited in Sodus Point He gave up some precious space and probly money lost due to patrons not being able to park close .... Across the road was a ""ABES ONLY"" Parking lot ... Despite being told to park at the "SPECIAL PRO /AM SPOT" many plugged the spots across the road from ABE's. I walked the distance with 2 bad knees so im shure everyone or most could of walked the extra 200yds to OUR parking spot.. So from a team who enjoyed the closeness to restrooms, refreshments, and some great food I say THANK YOU ABE'S FOR GIVING US YOUR PARKING LOT I know were all tired at the end of a day but like MOM always says DO AS YOUR TOLD!!!!! Team Pegasus Ray And son Casey..
  19. Hmm snoopy pole , or cloking devise..

  22. Hey no Donut award!!!! Well thurs I prefished With Jerry (rebel) and we found a mother load of browns and a few nice kings and steelies. Well thurs night i took my boat out for a peek at sundown and to cool off and less than 1 mile from port my fishfinder lit up like a "big boy fishfinder" ..so fri i went out alone in 45 to 50 ft of water and set the first rod 38 ft down 55deg ..as i tinkered in my peashell (brain) for my other secret weapon the rod fires with a 400 ft slow run thinking it was a big brown or laker I slowed down and tried to get it in well after 200 ft retrive then back out 200 ft this went on for 5 min before it came un buttoned ,,,,,so the same rod goes in and on the second pass same thing this time 600 ft,so for the first time in my life i clear riggers and rod and put troller in reverse. The bait i was using had tiny hooks(hint) well backing up the fish attacks so im reeling like a fool for 400 ft till i catch up and we plkay foanother 5 or 10 min till i baby in a 26 .5 (loc scales weight) male king (pink belly and dark)..he was done so i iced it and made another pass .............same thing only diff was this one didnt slow till 825 ft on a tight rigger rod in nutural agian i back up and got all but 250 ft back when it went slack waa . My guess bigger king...HUDGE KING ..so Sat we put our eggs in that basket .Temp gone we slid out and only did 2 keeper browns no kings,,,but i had to try dispite the shure thing 8 miles away. Sunday there was a few remaining bumps from sat afternoon blow so th 8 miletrip almost took a hour. first pass 5 nice browns pulled and reset same line 2 more reset again and go #8 shuda reset for 1 more pass but with 6 miles to port and still bumpy water we opted to troll bach with the waves for # 9.......never happened..so the 140 pt box moved us up a tad and we got the comeback award and finished 11th or 12 th ....THE BEST PART WAS IT WAS A FATHER SON TEAM FOR THE FIRST TIME IN THE PRO AMS MAKING IT THE"""""" BEST""""" PRO AM IVE EVER BEEN IN DISPITE NOT FINISHING IN THE MONEY..The biggest brown was 13lb4 oz (loc size) but the derby was over by the time we got in and finished weighin...but we made some folks happy to share our catch with as they waited there for any unwanted(un needed) fish so none went to waste..
  23. Tom ,it was good to see you involved in the Pro /am in sodus .................. If i had seen this post sooner (spent thur---sun at sodus) I would of spoke my mind when i had the mike in my hand saturday... The pics with the blurred out was very wrong ...,childlish,spitefull and about100 other negative words i could come up with in 30 sec .. What was that old saying "bend over a Dollar to pick up a Nickle",,,,,,well this is more of a kick the dollar in the A$$ and hope to find a nickle. THe Pro/Am commitee better post a VERY GOOD REASON FOR DOING SUCH A SPITEFULL MOVE iT ANT ONLY YOU THERE HURTING ,BUT EVERY SUCCESFULL FISHERMAN IN THE PRO AMS ,IN FACT YOUR PRODUCT SPEEKS FOR ITSSELF.... SO I GUESS IT IS THE ENTRANTS OF THE PRO/AM WHO ARE GETTING THE $%IT END OF THE STICK.. i SPENT OVER $700.00 THE LAST FOUR DAYS AT SODUS AND IF MY NEAR 13 LB BROWN WAS BIG BROWN OF THE DAY THE $500.00 WOULD OF EASED MY PAIN AS IM NOTTHE RICHEST GUY IN THE WORLD (I FISH OUT OF A 23 YR OLD ALUM BOAT WITH RUMMAGE SALE EQUIPTMENT).......THE 700.00 WOULD BUY ME A NICE FISH FINDER OR OTHER NEEDED STUFF.... ] bOYMY MOULTH IS TASTING LIKE POOP AFTER SEEING THAT PIC AND ITS TOO BAD CAUSE THIS WAS THE FIRST PRO/AM "MY SON AND I FISHED AS A TEAM' AND I WAS REALLY GONNA PUSH THE FAMILY ,FUN ,AND COMPETITIVE FISHING IN THE PRO/AMS NOT THE POLITICAL.................................................BASS PRO HERE I COME..
  24. hmm "Golden salmon" if the state bleached out a couple salmon and sent them up the river in sept . they could give out 1000 lifting tickets per mile..... We could ballance the state budget by altmar... . A crossbreed of asian carp and a king might might be fun to watch bust through the "leg dams" at the elete fishing zone.. Thanks for sharing
