Great that ya got the problem fixed ....But it seems like loose bolts and connections might of been the first thing I as A non farming ,back yard mechanic, total idiot in the proper way to check for voltage type of guy,,,,,might have done.....oh well Im always learing or never learning....... PS. trolled for almost 20 hrs straight ,through the night with lights on,radio, and fishfinder couple days back and the elect system was fine with the kicker output.....But i dont got no loose bolts,,,,,maybe a few loose screws tho!!!

shawn maybe you got a keeper there... give her a couple more trips just to make shure. -
I spent my summers as a kid in Hammondsport so ya might say i grew up there way back (late 60,s) when people line the stream like cathren creek today and the rainbows were large and plentiful ,,,then the flood of 72 had its way with the stream, pretty much returning it back to its natural state of a large marsh flowing into its origional "bed "that ran close to now A/C mesueam on 54 where it was moved from in the 30"s.. The stream as you know it today was not its designed path but a man made "fishing stream" and run to help replentish the "egg supply" at the cold brook hatchery.. Some improvements were made in the early 90tys in the uppersection near the old winery (latest owned by Mercury) They did improve several 1000 ft of stream that was maintained (keeped flowing ) by 1 person ( no one I know) from the mid 80tys with home made dams and a marine entrenching tool . the state stopped approx 100 yards from one of the biggest beaver dams in the stream dispite 1 persons efforts to keep the dams open and the beavers busy with other projects.. Ive bow hunted that stream from 1987 to 2008 the same log jams were there for the 21 years i walked every foot of that stream,, for 20 pluss days during bow season,, for every one of those 21 years. did you know in 1987 it was almost more common to see mating pairs of " landlocks" in the 7 to 8 lb range than browns in the fall... And i can assure you the log jams that (Ill bet 10.00 )are still there as in 2008 my last hunt there,, existed only because 1 (person) had no way to move 4 ft dia willows,, but brush saws and pry logs some how keeped some of the smaller paths open under them (so ive been told)....So If the improvements have been made sence 2008 then you are 100% right to dissagree and i hope your right .....But I think if we took a walk there tomorrow id be walkin outa the woods with 10.00 more in my pocket than yerself...I willeven show ya the tree i shot my first Bow Buck from , every deer trail in those swamps, the paths you can follow that wont end up to your neck in "quick mud"', ill show you the old axcess bridge area that was still used in 1965,behind the origional (mercury Plant),,,,So i geuss what i an saying i know every inch of that stream like the back of my hand... Ps I offered my suggestions and ideas to "avon" office many, many, many time and was told my knowlage of water Hydrolics, Was 0 to none basicly,,Too bad we didnt know the guy who built the deversoins ditches with a entraching tool (bet that rat snuck it in there in a backpack that rat),layed up 2 diversion dams with 8 in trees and accumulated tarps and other debris found along the creek and the log jams that stood up against 5 years of spring thaws, ill bet that guy grew up with a creek in his backyard and spent every min of his childhood playing in thet creek

Capt. "V", A few days ago I made mention of how This Site has brought so many to a common place and maybe more of of bond than we think. Yes we all love the ,Time on the water, and the bonus of catching fish, and maybe more Important the Experiance we have every time we see a new person light up when them rods start "poppin and the fight is on" The HOLY CRAPS,O.M.G,s, and Phews, that thing kicked my butt. Is what makes a Charter Captian do what he does .. In my opinion.. In short were passing the torch, maybe a flame brought on by a parent ,friend or a Charter Captian. We never will know the difference our Good Deads will do in the future and We all do them without the expectations of changing the world. I dont know you other than buying a seat ,shakin your hand and reading your post, and from what i see your MOM was a great Torch Bearer, and im shure She was proud of her Little Vinnie..........Well maybe she could of shared some of Her Not So Proud moments that we tend to er um forget.. As A L.O.U. member I too share your FAMILYS loss. And As you know time is a wonderfull healer.( unless you slept in on a Charter day).. I hope I brought a tiny smile in such difficult times, thoughts and prayers to you and your family................Ray K. and Family... -
well ,well, well, who would of thunk a few years ago we would be sitting at a computer saying Happy Birthday!! to people we never meet or only know from fishing trips. Sometimes a common bond ,event, intrest , or L.O.U. Site can turn strangers into a type of friendship where we " Wish A Happy Birthday" To others ..Chat (online) like were life long buddies, or share fishing stories and pics ,like our predesesors around the fire at "Camp". But their is one thing that concerns me about "Chromeslayer" , I sorta have this buffy fishing reputation ,and whenever i post a good report it seems to me he always ask "GOT ANY PICS" ... Hopefully he is talking about fish pics! ........................... Hey, Hey, Hey fella just joking!!!!! so CHROMESLAYER HAVA GREAT DAY !!!!!! and next trip out ill post some pics......... ................ ............... .............. Of fish!!!!!!!!

If ya got BL -350 to ask info Ya better jump on it, Hes one of the guys who forgot more than most of us know.....Plus i might learn something too!!!!

their almost ant none .....Coldbrook Creek is the #1 spawning stream for that lake and its been ignored (running out of banks, beaver dams, log jams ect, ect) for years ..1 man on 1 buldozer for 1 week would have that creek back and running 100% ,toss in a few coffer dams and the fish would come back..... BUT due to all the stupid red tape, rules ,regulations, restrictions, ordances, permits, oversight and 100 other reasons a $10,000 job tops ,would probly run 1 million.. (give me a dozer for a week and close some eyes ) and by majic it would be fixed for the price of the fuel..

owe i cant see ...dont hit 400% ZOOM

kinda a long drive for ya but hanks the man..........L&M.... we been trying to keep him busy so he cant catch all the fish too.

Boo shadster Boo shadster, no ,ya dont need to feel guilty In MY opinion. like i said i plan on keeping 1 a year im shure many are taken as cohos or kings by many who cant tell the diff. which is too bad ,but not everyone is as schooled as most on this site.. The size difference and quanity this year compaired to previous years is a great sign that they might be "taking a hold" again in lake ontario.. hopefully in a few years they will become a neusance like steelhead in a king spread with the help up north and some reasonable conservation and education on the southern border the Atlantic Population should (could) be flourshing. . . . ., Just in time for the asian carp invasion

I did use the treated 1/2" dispite the chemical reaction that supposed to happen the boat is 23 yrs old and the new floor should do well enuf for me . now that ive done it once its only a 2 day job ..but i did let the whole area breath for a week before installing new floor. Yea HB i thought about other material too ,crap there is a plastic mfg co just 20 miles down the road never thought of them till just now. In helocopters they use a honeycomb aluminum for floors really light and that stuff was tuff as nails crips the span was at least 30 in between ribs and it held jeeps weight hmmmmm where is the nearest airfield im shure they use the same floor in transport planes...any one know anyone in Cherry Point N.C. where they referbish a/c ??

yer breakin up even i cant understand you.........now thats bad !!!

He He ,you dummys flies keep you busy between fish swating them. they lay eggs that produce tasty maggots. they give the rednecks a reason to wear kneehigh (white) sox with sandals, and shorts. and the president lets em crawl on his face without batting at em.

Thank you up north I'm shure lots of atlantic salmon get released (I hope),as you can see on the post here many down here have had the fight and thrill of the atlantic salmon. ButHey iz justa plummer.... -
id go for severn its free and the fish settel in that area a tad more ..id start out with stix for the first hour in 30 to 70 ft depending on down temp,,,if ya just wanna start spankin lakers stick to the 90 to 100 dow and run near bottom spinnies at 2.2 to2.4 just keep em up 10 to 15 ft they will find them and if you dont pay attention heading north the bottom will sneak up on ya...here and there .fish shoulkd be so or north so your choice ....but i always go north and look for that scumline that forms just above long point and maybe even head a tad east in that line... just be aware north of long point the shallows come out pretty far on the west side so watch yer depth ga. and riggers..

Opps sorry g the last sentance sorta looked like dave was referng to "this site" i fully agree he should Control his own intrest in the derby and keep it family safe ....Gosh imagine the reprocutions of a parent having a discussion with their child explaining why some guys catch fish with a big weenie and not a bobber. """"Mommy.Mommy is that shortfatbaldguy with all that fur the one who caught a fish with his big weenie... """"yes son he is the one.... """""why doesnt daddy catch big fish he told his friend he has a big weenie....... """"YOUR FATHER IS A LIAR!!!!! """"OHHH i understand.... """"""So he was lying about being sucessful with his "Crazt BIT@#" ? """""Your father is a dead man!!!!!!!
-
P.S.S. this is the only place us white guys or married guys cam brag how good our "BIG WEENIES" work ..................without lying! or how our "CRAZY BIT#@" was a good thing. Check out the total number of "hits: this site produces a year. Then compair to the total number of hits "At The Oak" has had for the last 10 years. The Day this site goes to a single poster of fishing reports ,will be the day many will go back in the dark of "new Fishing styles" and reports. We all ant a bunch of political correct english professors ,just a bunch of good ole boys staying in touch with each other havin a little fun in this time crunched society, and stress. Well at least I are...
