  1. if it has a resistor type regulator it takes a few minutes for the resistor to get warm and put out the right amount of voltage..
  2. HEY "D" ya mentoned you got skunked then,,,,,, with the troller goofing up you got fish! maybe you should slow down a bit and remember what you were doing when you were getting hits (irregular speed) sometimes a problem with a moter can teach you how to catch more fish.. "if your listening" ps try running the kicker a tad before setting up to warm up and clean out then before comming in after pulling rods give the kicker another shot of fresh air for a few minutes ...ant gonna help excissive water in the gas but will suck small amounts of water from settling bowl that tends to roll around in there and gets sucked up at low speeds and stalls specially when your taking waves (rollers) from the side..(usually on a turn when you need it the most)

  21. Chris, the combat trolling is kinda like the hudson in May only some guys here run 600 ft of line out ,AND they own the lake too!! there is plenty of room so if ya run tight like the hudson 20ft apart you might get water balloned and the one finger salute..."selkirk shores" is close to the water but might be filled up by now Jellystone is in Mexico(ny) and is near a state launch too(little salmon river) lots of smaller campsites around also call "fat nanceys" or maybe on their site they have camping links .bring some river stuff as the salmon river has a few (lots) of salmon in it. If you get blown off the big pond. the "ballpark" would be a good place to start but you should get some "corkers" as the rocks are slppery and you will be the entertainment of the crowd around you....Its also warm enuf to wade so shorts and old sneekers or huntig boots (set a fashion statement) with corkers will surfice and polorized glasses will help your viewing enjoyment..
  22. rick found the problem!!!! mmmmm lobster roll...and then i found this>>>>>>>>>>>>
  23. DD ,when the lake temps change fast near shore they are almost always stable offshore, fish tend to be spread out when this happens ..if its too cold,or too warm inside go north till ya find temps usually 2 to 3 miles will get you in a temp zone that will hold fish..just dont go out to the bouys they are usually loaded with big schools of steelies this time of year and youll have to keep reeling in fish...
