  8. No ive never tried any setting other than 2.5 as i know exatly where my bait is. But i might break out my outriggers some day and make a mess back there
  9. yes to bleeding and lay on top of ice but bleed on stringer so you dont mess up the "wax job"on "BOATY" and when you fillet them youll see the difference at the cleaning sta too
  10. fenceman is all wet he was trying to tell you what i said as i was the one who taught him that .....he is so bad at fishing he uses 50 lb high vis. yellow power pro to fish walleyes!!!!!! Im working on his walleye program too!!!(its like trying to retrain a old dog.....oh wait he is a old dog)
  11. please send pics of your 4 rod tangle ...i might suggest spen a few minutes as to best troll direction before deploying all dypsys then get set up in that direction for the 4rod run ....BUT the way the bite is now i realy feel you are asking for more work than fun.

  13. ok ill dig out copy machine today send me pm
  14. sorry about the codded message think im crashing......
  15. if your only gonna run 1 per side set at 2.5 setting and figure 3 to 1 ratio 90 ft out 30 down 240 ft out 80 down..opps thats at a 2.4 mph down speed. ive tested this ratio and its almost perfect actually the dypsy with spindocter witt dig a little deeper than 3 to 1 with wire so run just a tad shy of ft out (just remember every reel does not read the same ft out for actual ft of line )so i recomen a rel that has enuf backing ti gt the wire to the outside of the spool for most ccurate readings
  16. ive gt 4 cannons from 1987 they ant the fastest in the world and now that ive rewired the 22 yr old connections they work pretty good. but the best riggers you can have are the ones that are on the boat that you are fishing out of (unless there hand crank)...There all good once you get used to the ones you are using...,unless your fishing a derby where every 10th of a second counts a little slower unit will get the ball to the boat in time to redeploy by the time your ready to reset your rod.
  17. Hey your name reminds me of speakers from the past almost as good as BOSE. welcome..home and look out for the customized boat (the one with the fur material thats my back). Ray K.
  18. wow 32pluss male what was the girth and length ...just curious hope he is just the beginning for the egg carriers to follow.were the milk sacks well formed?...........the last 6 years iv spent a week or more fishing the fall derby this year im stuck with a vac. on the cape.. 19. works fine been doining it for 6-7 years cuts the fleas off just like wire
  20. ifit ant on that site after several request i could burn a few copies of the owners manual...he wont bude on the price it still sits NIB
  21. the clicker spring cost about 50 cents and takes about 3 min to replace.( but if you insest ill take those nasty reverse drag reels off your hands CB when the clicker breaks)
  22. now maybe instead of being in port at 1 or 2 we could employ a radio stop fishing which could give you that last few min of fishing if needed or have all observers enforce the cutoff time all cell phones are the same time and most gps units can display exact time, also next year the Capt,Observer -rules meeting should be just that and enforced to keep the rumble down ,the only exception should be to any Newteam to allow the whole NEW team sit in on the rules (capt meeting) so the whole NEW crew can get the feel of whats going on.
  23. I could take another hour on the water even with the pretty good prefishing (4 days),, sat (osweago) as with fishing anywhere the fish locked up for a lot of boats. Last year we were the first am boat in and a 11am cutoff time would of been great but at 5 min till weigh in time we got bumped to 2nd for the day(curse you Lou) but it was exciting non the less to watch every one weigh in ..As far as this year the brokeback mountiantop boys (liq.plummer) had a secret up there sleeve and spanked the whole thing(great job),when we all get as old as Del. we all should be getting our limit by 2. as far as this year at osweago i had a near muteny due to storms 30 miles away ,and another hour on the water and we would of been dodging lighting bolts and 35mph winds with the Pros. maybe a handicap point system like in golf would would even out the field ,,,,Thank You to all the volenteers for the pro /ams if my wife can stand to be without me for a few days next year we should be able to sweep the field............................Till weigh in
  24. as light as you can ,tight release will be your number reason fornot getting hookup on dypsys
  25. Ive been with att for ever(used to be celular one) and they stink ,many lost calles(droped) always having tower problems and very poor reception in the lakeontario (N/E) usa sector. but due to kids with I phones and my work use I stay with them.(polish) . I have a friend who sells farm equiptment with onboard gps and also with special permits they use verison to triangulate location within 2to 3 inches for plowing /fertlizing , and harvesting crops ....pretty cool just like our autopiolets.you can get off the tractor and it will drive its self with pinpoint precision ...so my vote a verision.
