ray koziatek replied to BlueEye's topic in Open Lake Discussion
14 legs........Gambler we dont need tips from everyone .can you imagine trying to employ MUSKYBOBS bobber fishing salmon while listing to bluegrass music. Or Fishermans secret for the best chumline , then SLIDERBITE would have a washing and waxing the boat while trolling section, Then there is LANDSHARK's post of catching salmon on walley rigs,Billy V would have a downhill skiing with 4 copper rigs to control speed,Then there would be the Yankee Troller tips of running 8 dypsys off a bass boat with baby blue crocs section, Running Rebel, would have a "how to rig a garge door opener to retrive copper, Not to mention i couldnt handle the competave post from all the other guys out there BUFFY fishing ...............................................BUT WE ALL COULD LEARN A THING OR TWO FROM EACH OTHER SPECIALLY OF BOAT ETTIQUETTE (can you sence a big bash comming on from my last trip to the oak???) ,,and other fishing tips ,line selection, lure, ect ect. Thank you all for your helping us all be more productive and PROFFESIONAL on the water. ....Its been a fun ride here thanks Chad and crew ,Mark the iwannagowalleyfishingguy, and all those who keep the spam at homeguys...Do we need a "ADIRANDAK COOKING SECTION"????????? -
Thank you everyone! For the last three days i was with a good friend from outa state fulfilling one of his "bucketlist "dreams to fish lake ontario salmon. It was not fast and furious tho we managed 16 for 22 for the few hours we got on the water. But he has survived 1.5 yrs longer than predicted by his doc. So with him reeling in the first fish of the trip tuesday (22lbs),and today on my birthday he landed the last fish of the trip(19lb)it has been a great birthday. Thank you... Ray K.

sorry you found this site , now open up the wallet and say goodby to the greenbacks. You will be changing your thought process from now on...Steelie dan is not a band ,gator is not a reptile,get-er-done is not a red neck saying, lemon ice is not a drink , 3.0 mph IS fast, spin docter is not a female doctor driving in circles looking for a good parking spot, flys dont fly, flys bite, a king is a fish, your balls are lead , down probes has nothing to do with bill clinton, 10% of the water holds 90% of the fish , 10% of the charters own 90% of the lake ( I might post nice oak story) , sea sick walders stand upright (hunched over sorta ) and its a spoon too , and the list will go on and on...welcome home!!

flasher fly question
ray koziatek replied to axion2090's topic in New York Fishing Reports - Lake Ontario (South Shore)
if your talking spin docters the green dalmation / wht.fly(with green beads) has been good all year, the pro am (ithink)basicly mtn dew with chartruse edge/with a green whtie fly(mostly white with some light green mixed in) is a all day sucker also, and a white with a chartruse edge with green fly are 3 you cant go wrong with. -
You DUMMY it was in no way ment to be mean to jerry i just havent had the time to write the whole story.Had to get the boat ready for 3 day trip outa the oak...I was the one who VOLENTEERED TO GIVE JERRY A HAND with the charter he had and had a great time doing it. I enjoy watching poeple catch fish more than i do and them folks had a great day. I was more than happy to be part of the charter and helping Jerry run [/size]another succesful charter trip. On the other hand when i get back from the oak i WILLbe writing a complete story that might top off the "SCOTTY DERBY" TRIP.so before reading dont take a sip of coffee ....now i gotta go play for 3 days to get over my sunday trip..and i got your roller with me ....so it off to the OAK fer the next 3 days

Tom I never use the net on any of these 36 " 12ish lb steelie included .... I know,I know I never bring in boat for photo but i was alone and stan wanted pics. but that steelie can in so fast and green i took photo see no scales missing and it dont look it but i wet the floor before laying it there. I think the buffy suit has a calming effect on the fish.(they close their eyes) viewtopic.php?f=14&t=12352

paint torpedo weights or not?
ray koziatek replied to chowder's topic in Questions About Trout & Salmon Trolling?
they make a spray on PLASTI-DIP i get mine at home depo. it goes on nice and drys fast.rubberized undercoating will work but ive found it takes 2 days to dry(seal) proper, and is a little more of a texture and that will increase blowback some. I coat black for the same reason we use black dyspys and even what i consider a more important reason is the impuritys into todays scrap lead can possably cause electrolissis. (that is why i use rubber based products to SEAL insulate)the lead. not just color. -

PSSSTTTT. you mean 8/1 i think or your a slow poster...good job for a tuff day. -
If your boat is close enuf to the water to reach the fish DONT use a net if your gonna release it just hand line the last few few feet and unhook in or above the water it is a easy methood of releasing fish and you dont have to "wave"the net bringing boat seeking fishermen in your spot. and if you think those belly up fish dont survive just spin the boat around after the fish has had a min or two to rest and poke it with your finger and have a free shower (tailsplash). no we dont normally see fish swimming on their back but after a fight for thier life they will lay there for a few minutes getting there wind back (or their imatating my buffy fishing gitting a little sun where the sun dont shine on normal people). bringing a laker from the depths too fast and a full air blatter will require some gentle wet hands "burping "from the headfirst to tail to help relive some gas or they will be permanate floaters. Try running a 100 dash then hold your breath, thats the main reason i dont bring the fish in the boat for pics . And sorry Rod after all the money and time spent to get a good 8 lb eater thats the size that will be visiting Corning . Fishing is fun but after being gone for 2 to 8 days of fishing if i come home empty handed the wiffy might think im doing more than suntanning on the boat.

Why would a good charter friend plan to have his fishing buddys up for a fun day on the water then after they all show up (some with a 2.5 hr drive) say thanks for being here but i have a scheduled charter for today you can go home now. to protect the identy of this charter i will use a factious name of RUNNING REBEL Oh and make up a fake name for the CAPTIAN JERRY just to protect the identy of all the responsable charters on lake ontario..

ray koziatek replied to salmonite's topic in Questions About Trout & Salmon Trolling?
un fair to the fish ............... wack em over the head first ,,,,,if you want exact accuracy their is one that my brother has on his site that pro bike riders use to weigh various items for their weight trimming efforts ... its a nice scale and ive been using for over a year and it holds up well for boat bouncing atmospheres too..not promoting because its my brothers site its just a nice product and if something works for me i always post here if i think it can help one of us on the water http://www.notubes.com ray. -

What Rod said 97 teams is awsome ,I was gonna do the oak derby till i found out it was a closed to outsiders ...soulda paddeled to the other end of the lake.Congrates to all who entered figure in 200.00 a boat towards the local economy and you guys just boosted some needed "stimulas" for the area. I think the sponsers should be added to the list for a second shot of thanks...Good job to all involved..
