  4. [SIGN ME UP IM IN IT NEXT YEAR !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!YE HA
  5. Gill one thing could be to confirm the fish, as the weighstations make the call as to type of fish.couple years back i almost had to argu with a kid from jellystone that my 27lb king was not a steelhead ,he insisted cause it was silver it was a steelie.Plus the photos are good PR in the loc derby paper.I would drive a few hundred miles if nessasary for 1000.00 ,2500.00 ,or 20,000.00 bucks with a smile.
  6. Paul one other advantage of fishing alone is the buffy effect(nude fishing)HEY how about a derby for that ? Just gottawatch a little closer for flying hooks.......
  7. Skippy rip off the hat and run outside quick and get that solor panel charging, your thoughts are random, incompleate, almost meaningless.............................Hey Just LIKE ME.........If your spelling was a little more atrocious i'd think we were related, maybe distant cousens ,you do live far away.
  8. yea if you can decifer My favorite spoon,The one i showed you last week ,same place as yesterday, call my cell, and the new one billybobs dog found under Mrs. Smiths clothsline last sunday while she was at church ,a little east, alittle west .You might as well put on ch14 (welland channel harbormaster)and enjoy the boat traffic in the locks .(just dont talk its a restricted channel)....2.2 to2.4 was a better speed for me also.channel 68 in barc.was busy and a little info shared ,also with the worms i run them back 75 to 100 ft. cant help on the stix as this is new fishing for me. but the 85 to 95 ft of water is where i would be
  9. Ok now im really discomboberated on this gas price thing ... now ifin i remember right last summer anytime some one south of the border farted the word hurrycane came up and the price of gas jumped 15 cents overnite and if no one ate beans for two weeks the price of gas would come back down till someone farted again. So this year we get the hurrycane of the century ,shut down every rig in the gulf of mexico, gave the hurrycane some tuff russian sounding name(i think bacause of there moving troups to georgia bet the mayor of atlanta was surprised)and the price of oil droped like a round rock in a skipping contest. so go ahead and call me stupid (all my best friends do) i might just can my new invention idea of rigging a windmill on my boat to a gearbox in my outdrive and put my gas moter back in it.hmmm
  10. I saw that too, also the 16lbsteelie from the oak was DQed that was in 2nd.Looks like you got lucky twice, 1st you actually caught a fish without me ,and then the guy in front of you got dqed.
  11. Boy you got the right guy for this ,that my friend is a fishfinder.Looks like a thermol layer a temp probe would of confirmed it ive seen it many time over the years probly due to a goofy current in that part of the lake.next trip it probly will be gone
  12. I fished Barcelona for the evning bite sunday, and till 2.00pm monday.just 1 on sunday .Monday started slow till i found a wad of fish 7 miles west in 90ft water .40 and 65 down was a good target depth dispite 71deg temps.went 5 for 8 . I lost a huge one about 20 ft from the boat ,it actually took (jerked)out over 200ft line ,with 12lb line i couldnt budge it for at least 10 min till i slowed the boat ,shoulda poped my other rod and put in nuteral, but i got greedy and tried for a double.at least i got to see it up close i would guess 12lbsh.The radio chatter indicated not to good catching in that area if i didnt find that big school west i would of rotted .Im new to the walley stuff and use nothing but worm harnesses .Probly i could of done better with some stickbaits (chatterbaits) as every time i checked bait there was a crap fish on and 1 pearch too.So i had to pop rods and check bait and clear hooks every 10 min (better than doing nutten). In my few trips to erie all my big fish have been in the 45ftish down depth less hits at that depth but all big ones ,dont know if thats normal ? The boats that went fursthest east (towards dunkirk) had the best reports 3 to 5 fish numbers so if i had to guess id recomend Dunkirk area for my next trip.
  13. suppose it could of been worse rod ,like standing at the urinal when she said "mine is bigger"
  14. just called spain and they spanked them there this am and yesterday afternoon gonna water the ponies and head west
  15. heading out tonight heard anything from spian as to the better area to go?
  16. I cant take that many pics ,But i assure you if you ask anyone who has ever fished my boat all my reports are on the low side of what we actually catch. When i first started fishing lake ontario 6 years back i took and posted many pics . I really have nothing to gain by posting false reports .I think my showing at the Pro Ams have a little to say as to my catching ability, and belive me when i post a 19 for 27 day ,that dont include the dinks, or the 2or 3lb shakers and you can bet a dollar i ant the one doing the counting cause i cant count that high.I do have some pics in my cell phone i could send you and if you want ill start taking photos of every fish and posting them here .As far as a jab (or barb)to your photo style i belive it was yankee picking on you a while back as to that tech.I didnt mean to offend you just picking as a friend .Now that you got my dander up i might have to hook up the boat and head to erie or ontario fishing for the next 2 days ,hope your real happy with yourself.Thanks.
  17. Or you could shave your head like skippy does and use your head like a big solor reflector and aim it at a solor panel on the dash of your boat.
  18. Gator after the last 5 years i can say ive (weve) become spoiled to good (great)fishing. The good thing in my outhouse opinion is all the bait everyone has mentioned this year ,indicates a lower preditor number also that might explaine some of the larger fish .So maybe we dont stink as bad as you think. Also the last few years the water levels in the big rivers were low which im shure hurt natural reproduction and the state has been cutting back on the stocking programs (according to post on this site). If you havent heard yet there has been some big runs up the salmon river this year starting aug 12th due to high resiviour levels .last year the flow was as low as 185cfm this year the low flow has been 750cfm with 60 deg october temps., so the stocking program has no excuses and nat. repro should be good too.We all have seen the positive results of penrearing steelies and new creek(nat spawning grounds)limit. So hold off on the sheet boat ,spare yourself the embarrsement of flying my shorts on your jib line, put some hooks on those spoons and hope that this year was the lull and not the norm. You ant alone on the NYS whine tour.
  19. had a little fun out west eh, too bad it was such a slow day course some of that was probly due to jerrys inexperience every time i see him he pics my brain and ive been letting some of my secrets slip.heard rumor of a new charter moving to sandy.now work on that photo thing the full arm streach just dont look natural with those shiny fish.
  20. Matt that is where i got the fish .Had a canadian fisherman from catfish turn me on to the spot a few years back.It shows up real good on the bathometery site. Problem was the 100 other boats working that area till noon then they thined out and me and liq.plummer worked it a couple times he hooked up there also.I even tried the 70ft line in front of catfish with only 2 releases.
  21. PRETTY SLOW lots of marks in 70 ft water 30ft down just off the light house.picked a bigboy in there fought it for 15min before pulling hook. ran to mexice bay and got 1 20lbr 120 on the wire thats all.lots of whining on the radio 99% of the boats got skunked today, flat and sunny great for buffy weather.
  22. leaving corning soon caLL 7697947 AREA 607 RAY K /.
