  1. i would save your timel looking for laker sites as most lakers from most bodies of water are not exatly a targeted fish due to there nasty taste ,in seneca a different story (all fingerlakes) for the smaller 4 or 5 lb size .the methouds ive mentioned will work 100% ok 99.9% of the time in seneca it dont get no better than that .and if you still have questions call 607 769 7947 ill put you right on top of them with a phone call .you see about 10 yrs. ago i was in your shoes without the advantage of the internet and finding out info was responded with put in your time ,well we all know that stinks. i ant no pro but weve pulled a couple hundred over the side allready this year and i ant got serious yet just some thing to pass the time till i can hit the big pond then ill put the frown on(thinking cap)and start after the fussy boys

  3. whats the temps, no mud from the creek outflow? next time slide out and hunt down some, jacks, deeper browns and bows.ther should be some streaks of green water that got blow off shore a little...just did the modis look your right the shore is all poopy(clear) i know there has to be some warm water id guess 1to 2 mi out from the satilight photo the wind is shifting from the north and might set the lake back up by sat or sunday
  4. ya wanna send a couple of those up for the red cross derby.got the rigger rods wet will break in the others soon i hope.66deg today heatwave.thanks again....
  5. well mr.wilson changed my port o call with the tempting offer ,but more than the money draw was that a group of people that are willing to sacrafice some of ther familys spare money to say thank you to a bunch of strangers who stop by for a once a year derby.well mr wilson if your community has any youth group needs or olcott kids needs id be willing to bet they could raise a couple bucks in donations at the capt. meeting or donation jars at the marinas.heck id be willing to walk around to the differsnt slips and sing till im paid enuf to leave,i mean given a donation for my talent and time....................just a thought (not the singing ,but a fundraiser for kids or a needy kid if there is one that stands out in your community)
  6. ut oh i WAS NOT one of those guys last year having a pizzing contest off the bridge, but maybe this year well have a bananna tossing contest off the bridge, corse now that musky gave our site number maybe well just have to give out free bananna splits. at camp well make em up and place one in everyones boat sort of are little way of saying good luck...........fishing
  7. yea the colors caught my eye too ,a nice combanation of proper light and near perfect color for a bow next time try laying your rod down with the fish just below it on some smaller rocks, then again the light passing through the tail is great.ive got a photo of a bow i pulled outa ellpot creek a male that also is amazing in its color ill dig it up and take a photo of a photo and post. Ray K.(P.S. this is my first nonsarcastic post ill make up for it the next time someone gives me the chance)
  8. mick ,can we bring our banjos to lyntucky,or do you just have a reception commitee that show up in the middle of the night and starts playing at your bedside.
  9. how else can you respond to a question like ,here officer take my keys ill walk home even though were 5 miles off shore,a few more beers and im shhhhure i cccccannn do it.uh before you leave whereees shore...ok im a idiot sorry tom 146306,i suppose if you were anchored with the intent to stay put for the night just leave the keys outa the ignition,it would be no diff than my yunger days in the back of my van.just make shure before the party begins your anchored in a proper area with correct anchor lighting, but those floating barge parties are bound to end before the proper sobering time has passed ,so i think you would be pushing the envelope to tell the visiting sheriff you are just floating along wiht the currents...that would be a DWD....drinking while drifting a very serious offence, specially in the shipping channel..........................DUDE was that a fart,no man it sounded more like a fog hornnnnnnnnn...........
  10. just ran the serial number and the moter was reported stolen,ya better pull it out and deep six it before the cops get there ...............
  11. ye moto ya see in the fishing world when we say wash lures we mean we drag em behind the boat till a fish bites or not ,not remove those sharp things and put em in the spoon rack of your dishwasher

  13. hmm capitol district, maybe there is more going on at the ol kings ferry motel than some might think.does your credit card reciept total for one night come to 5000.00............if so maybe i could find the time for that free round.good luck and post some pics (of the fish) any others send to my pm
  14. alright what is the campsite number ,not to late to cancel the other port, and musky has a camper,
  15. now ya tell me after i make my reservations at olcott.
  16. FREE ROUNDS er um dude i know every inch of that lake like the back of my hand.......well ok i lied it was the free round talking.now seneca is more my speed but if you check some of the cayuga reports now that the snow is gone the creeks should be dumping some warm, and colored water ,if your there "early" taughannock park area would be my starting place targeting the little cove that is just on the north side of the creek up to the next creek(boy scout camp)frontenac point (tramunsburg and boardman creek moulth),after 9 am if that area slows then start circling out front of the park sorta following the mud line out .depending on color of water anything from yellow bellied, gfl, firetiger red,or firetiger chartruce sticks for the colored water to more natural stuff as the water clears .look for the temp line comming from taughannock creek sorta follow that out then turn right hand circle and do it again.oh if that little cove north is clear run some natural ,and purple and silver and black and silver and dont feel like you gotta be bouncing your stuff off the shore with boards as the 80 ft water will hold a few fish the fish will determin that but the near shore bite on seneca and cayuga just dont seem to be as good as it was a few years back, coors light please.thanks
  17. what i tell ya mick 1 dock in on the west side today with action so good even motoman should not get skunked, gosh i hope moto realised i was kidding when i told him lures have better action if you remove the (sharp things) hooks
  18. way to go kid's,ya see moto its soooooooo easy that even a girl and that lab can catch a fish.
  19. start the big motor first, just turn the key the remaining fuel in the carb will prime it in bout 2 sec.if everything is dry you could use a primer bulb to draw fuel through system then attach line and start, or with fire extingusher handy put about 1/5 oz gas in the carb.and hit the key .if your not to mechanicly inclined the last method will work but ya gotta use both brain cells so ya dont hydriloc a valve,or blow your head off ,otherwise have a full charged battery and crank er for several 15 to 20 sec intervels giving starter a few sec to rest in between attempts.
  20. hey! splitshot you still stuck in the garage?
  21. walrusb,we do are part on the east side of the river and skienmachine will sometimes slip up and give a canadian waters report.rumor goes that area west should be stacked with salmon bout now.id be willing to bet there are a few fish being caught over there but if anyone spilled too many beans .the canadian license sales would skyrocket near the border.ill be patient for a couple weeks till erie warms and the migration gets going full steam.
  22. liteline, ill keep my lips zipped ...................nawwwww look at previous post.but the number is good to know, ontario or canadian license?
