  1. should be safe ya just gotta convince the sheriff your gonna walk home...eyy eyy eyy
  2. apr 7th last year thell be there today working
  3. my pinch releases get a little sticky the last time out i used some silicone reel lub and it helped a lot, with so few hits id more blame it on the fish not being to agressive and what i call short hits or you forgot your hooks
  4. ff,enjoy the spring fishing , any eels or marks and what was the top temp by the end of the day,any bait pods ,when the surface warms up a little ill show jason a couple things and he can pass em on.hey when your that deep the green dolphin will work but due to the silver back its more of a upper water colum bright day lure.if you have and white cup with good lime or mtn dew green back that should work at about 75% catch rate as the spin dctr rig .also when the fishing is this good and you have your limit do some experminting with spoons and sliders you might light up some nice landlocks or browns.anyways thanks for the report...yea i think i just farted ..........................nope wrong again gotta go change..
  5. pp,ff said he was going outa seneca i thought meyers was on cayuga .or are your eyes that good ..and ff whers the report? boy i gotta superduper every farts a pooper stomach bug havent been this sick in about 40 years started friday afternoon starting to wander from the bedroom and batheroom for the first time in 2 days ..really want to get on seneca today for the buffy weather might have to drop the curtin and tan in the driveway.but as for now every farts a squirt.yea i know im sick im just happy to be able to sit up for more than 10 min.
  6. ARE THERE ANY DOCKS YET???????????????????????????????????????????
  7. sounds like musky "prepare to ram".....
  8. yea stomach flu................. anyways whith that said there a pretty tuff fish to get ......... some of the old timers and lake dwellers know where the rainbows head after spawning as there a schooling fish the ones ive gotten have been over a 15 mile streach and outof respect for what few rainbow are left i hope they keep that secret to themselfs as this is a good fighter that should be released and until the creek rippers, lifters, and poachers are stopped the population will struggle.there should be a 1 fish limit on these fish in seneca and streams and maybe 1 fish a year over 24 in in length for a trophy mount to be allowed sounds kinda tuff but on the fingers a 7lb rainbow is probly over 7 years old....what was the question?purple yozure crystal minnow took 1 black and silver another simular spoons the rest.all on top (i think) with bumpy water
  9. call me pitiful on that one ...maybe 5 lbs. rainbows in the lake are far and few, maybe 5or 6 in near 10 years. with that said i have never targeted them with the higher speed recomended 3 to 3.5 mph ,nor have i tried woodchucks though i have many in the box. ive pulled a couple 8 lbrs from catherine creek and released.in my 35 plus years of fishing the creek and pre season scouting on the creek(i have several friends who live with catherine in there back yard) its a no brainer that the (run or spawning fish) population is about 1 tenth of what it was 20 years ago.ill finish my rant later
  10. there is a nice honey at bass pro for2500.00 ...............how much do ya want to part with (money) how serious do ya want to get .basicly i would look for a good gps/depth/ unit youll be droping 5 to 7 hundred, speed temp and depth of water with a good radio will put all the fish in the boat you need .familuraty with a given port and a trip or two with a pro or even someone like me could learn ya a lot in 1 trip
  11. that was his other female telling him to hurry cause it was cold in the boat.
  12. pretty much up the the guy on the end of the rod (kinks, backlash, overtight drag.) or the guy in the boat that runs behind you taking your gear with his riggers.and if your season consist of 5 trips or 50 seems like i manage to screw up my wire bout once every two years or 100 trips
  13. well WWW.attheoak.com has begun their daily reports about fishing .other than water temp the report is void of info but if ya know the water temp and how 40 deg. can effect spring fishing then the report is really full of good info.I was told Capt. Clarence (Rally Killer)had a charter planned this week .but with the wind the last few days im shure dockside was in order.MIKEY step outa the kitchen and see were those boys are that are supposed to be puting in the docks on the west side.my boat awaits your call .
  14. netfisher thanks for the secret post. from your reaction it sounds like you dont want anyone to know about SHIPBUILDERS ,or your really excited about a new spot for you and only you and your friends to fish.but somehow i feel there is a underlie, ing message to shut up,,,i see your new to this site and though i am not affiliated with the site other than trying to help other fisherpersons have a successful day of catching as well as fishing.sometimes that goal is achived by the SHARING of some of our hotspots.im also very shure the 1500 plus members wont zero in on that spot ,,but that post might help someone and there kid or friend have a more enjoyable day on the water if there near that area. if i missread you my greatest apoligies, welcome to the site and post some pics when you and your friends have a great day at SHIPBUILDERS...Ray K.
  15. bob take the moter to the factory for upgrades their is one in new mexico 6 days round trip, you should drive it down yourself and please call your wife when your 1 hour from home . sorry about my noisy muffler,i will have it fixed asap.
  16. my sugestion is to take the little lady out to toms resturante for 3 times for the same cost
  17. tom its a single but a big signle your welcome to jump right in
  18. wheres the boat id like to see it ................
  19. zebe that happened the other day with my new honda the discharge hose had a slight belly in it and a small pice of ice was in there ,being new(the motor) i sorta guessed that was the problem so i started for 20 sec then shut it down for a 30 to60sec rest and tried again .had to do 3 times before melting... hope you check this before teardown.
  20. chowdy ,the so end is shallow for some ways outa cayuga inlet ,use the nav. aids near the moulth of the channel .if your gonna do the so end there is a warm water discharge on the east side not to far from the end ,but i would spend a little time on the west side around the yaght club ,2or 3 miles up 2and 2 will work ok i would stagger my riggers 15 and 25 ft down back 50 to 100 and add sliders for the curious fish that come near the prop wash. id put the top back 100 ft also landlocks will hit shorter leads but at a 100 ft to start it give you some time to enjoy a few jumps before you get em to the back of the boat.dont expect to see any top fish on the sonar the cone is real small at 20ft . the biggest thing to be concerned with are my 3 S's = speed,speed,speed...2.5 to2.7 mph
  21. yankee what is that puny little thing between your legs.i know you have heard how to slow down a prostitute ..........put a govener on her .. now you slow that bass boat down this time of year with all the partially sumerged stuff out there you could tear it up in a hurry .then the croc jokes would be no more...
  22. longline a little chop and a breese and you pull the plug on a day of fishing .now that should of pushed the ice off erie. gotta check the satalite photos.
  23. sorry guys after a fishless day on catherine creek (had a nice one on for 20 sec) looks like the fish got the last laugh, well almost ,i had a few chuckles as i read your post last night .only saw 2 fish caught all day.last night after 9 a friend checked the creek and the continued melt(almost done) and cloud burst in horseheads raised the creek about 10 inches and it was already high.post creek was for the most part unfishable should spread those stockies around a bit . my first fishless opening day on catherine creek for as long as i can remember fishing it. good day for the fish ...............
  24. i cant belive you fell for that one ,im heading to the creek early APRIL FOOLS day.so this was my best chance
  25. med heavy are fine ,little long for a little guy like me ,i like 7.5 but save your money for spindocters and flys.17 and 27 are ok for browns ,i might go with the little heaver 27s for the big boys just dont go nuts with pwrpro and drag==== broken rods will occure or youll just rip the hooks out ,more often the rod will go snap first,
