  1. ill toss out a jug during the derby ,but those days are long gone ,too much like work.
  2. man ive spanked cohos in those numbers but never kings
  3. if ya launch at the first launch past the 7 mi bridge heading west all ya need to do is go about 1or 200 yds past the end of the walking fishing bridge(boating back east)and fish under the bridge you will see many charters anchored there.or if you want a tarpon hot spot call me with a keys map in hand and ill put you on top of them.if you want a snapper (fish bob ) hot spot there is a nice one bout 3 miles north of "no name " key but wind is a factor there
  4. also when you first put down your rigger pay close attention to your cable angle (blowback) compare it side to side with other rigger or triangulate your angles every 5 min. to determine if you have a fish on,jst kidden on the math stuff i cant even spell it let alone do it . if you think you can see a difference in blowback angle at the same speed ,that might be a good time to pop the rigger and check .
  5. lb good idea me try next time, zebe you should check your stuff every hr if yer looking to catch more fish ,maybe sooner just for the draggin part of little guys ,also big lakers will swim a long time back there some times they wont trip cause there swimmin with ya so checking stuff ..........keeps you busy, might save a little guy,or might land you a bigboy before he figures a way to spit the hook
  6. musky you ok over there or are ya full of snow and cant get to the mailbox
  7. wheres the sale???????????????
  8. ye me two, now that im getting older im trying to last four strokes ,so i ant got to carry that 6 gal bomb every where.
  9. BLACKS AT THE BALL AND FOR SALMON I USE THE (OLDER) ROAMERS AM I SHOUTING TO LOUD ....sorry the roamers also work well on seneca when running spinnies or spoons deep to prevent false release, if ya look under photos at my CHEEP homade releases that style works good for smaller fish and down to 50ftish on the big pond for the higher stuff. some people prefer this style for everything (softer release) but when im running stackers or targeting salmon i run my roamers tight enuf that 99%of the fish that release have pulled so hard that they have a good hookset .that way i dont have to worry about rushing back to grab the rod and take a chance of spilling my beer.NOW i did say the older roamers as the newer style have a plastic trigger (area where line passes through to trip release)that can and will get a grove and pinch or weaken your line and we know the rest of that story. the older style has smooth round metal guide that last forever and dont hurt your line...like i told you before 1 trip on seneca on my tub will learn ya a lot..send me a pm with your phone number and ill let ya know when to call in sick.
  10. thanks splitshot that went well........ now go to that little table over there and TRY IT AGAIN................
  11. online or mail works fine but the tax money is not applied to your county (unless you live near albany).besides what a better way to apprecieate what we have and where we work than to spend time standing in line waiting for that smiling face to go over your papers and find that elusive "t" you forgot to cross and send you to that little table over there and fill it out RIGHT.and go to the end of the line.....................AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!and they will pro rate you at that time
  12. i tried to shoot through the hull and sunk my boat ,now i lean over the side when firing my gun. hope this helps
  13. get-r-done ,guess that makes you a redneck, whats yer dogs name?keep your port riggers in tight ,cause when i run outta beer thats the side im gonna board ya on for a refill....and iffins ya got yer old lady on board let me know so i can put my pants on ...dont wanna scare the poor girl...thanks see ya at the oak THE PEGASUS.......Ray K,

  17. almost forgot id better get down there ......just got a call from a local marina who noticed i havent been there yet, though he did mention joyriding on the niagra was better than sitting at his booth yesterday.
  18. maybe its the labates ehh.or the canadians are messing with the satalites and steeling our land im calling washington.............................they put me on hold grrrrrrrrrrrr .im gonna try the reset thing first ill pull it out in the driveway to see if it works ok here .maybe one of those aliens been messing around up there in space ,like hilary or osama, could be a derict result from global warming,i think al gord like won the nobel peace prize or some award for making up some story about its getting warmer or the sky is falling. kinda strange all 4 of the temp recording stations around the globe are recording record cold acording to noaa.
  19. yea less than 1hr and i got a human . turn unit off press and hold pages and powerk at same time till unit turns on its that simple to factory reset settings without loosing stored data.hopefully i wont be running on dry land anymore ps. i checked my last trip on seneca trails and they were on shore too.ill follow up if this fixes problem ...
  20. yawnnnnnnnnn45 minutes great customer service but if i leave my number they might call back in 2 days or less. good music.lights by jurney ........everyone let this be a factor when deciding what mfg to go with when buying a fishfinder /or gps or anything by eagle or lawrance
  21. ok so im waiting for the everelusive tech. support from eagle kinda gives you that warm fuzzy feeling when the first words out of the tape recordings mouth are "if you are calling to send in your unit for service" kinda gives you the indication they have lots of problems with their stuff ......15min and waiting..................................................................................................................................waiting...............................and waiting.........................................zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz wait ..opps thank you for holding zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
  22. ok even i get a little confused on ocasion and i think i might need the help of someone who can read ,or a computer savey person (NERD) like longline to help .......so ims tooling up th niagra dodging ice chunks and logs when i flip my page to map and notice im running about 200 ft inland acording to my map trail so the first thing i do is make shure im still in the water and i was.....so then the ol brain cell goes into overdrive and recolets something in my charting class about charts changing every year by a detirmend number of degrees cause santa moves the magnets at the north pole or something techicnal like that ..so ima thinking my fishfinder that can tell me when the full moon will be in the year 2020 on my birthday doesnt have the smarts to correct for santa moving the magnets or all the fat people changing the earths axis by leaning over to tie their shoes(why dony they get slipons bob).and i kinda thunk i gots to reprogram that sucker so it knows im really in the water and not driving up the coast of canada,so i dont need to keep sticking my hand overboard to see if im in the water . comon longline this is your stuff here .Thanks Ray K.
  23. i put mine in everytime i go fishing i just seem to catch more fish that way though i have landed a squirell in the driveway once.is everyone laughing yet..............? .........at yet another stupid response by ray..
  24. we call that bottom td specially at the moulths of creeks......... if you snaped 17 lb on seneca more than likley it was a week spot ,caused by spinning of tackle speed ,put in release wrong, knot problem, drag too tight.no need to slow down in seneca unless the fish is fouled hooked or hooked with both sets of hooks on a stickbait causing the fish to go sideways or using 10lb or smaller line.. glad you got a fishie on the rigger, just remember to double or triple check your release every time its easy to mess up with line placement for anyone ................cept me.
