  5. dude ya better check your waterline before you buy anything else ya wanna keep at least 3or 4 inches of freeboard..
  6. MM yozuri makes good line but the p line is pretty good for the buck .. spool em all up with 4lb test for max stelth.
  7. Steve ,yes I used the standard fly tho ive heard the coho candy is hot,and have some in my arsonal now. i rarly use lead core other than spring cohos in your neck of the woods.i toss out 10 colors plus a dozen passes with great success dont know how deep the lead will pull down this rig im guessing 25 to 30 ft .this year ive stocked up on a couple more dodgers and will be running em off the main boards with 2.5oz keels, and on the riggers with real long leads. why long leads on a fish that can be caught outa the propwash ,i like to seeem jump and tailwalk several times during the fight now thats fishing..oooo its to early in the year to be talking like that now i wanna fish instead of work.hey why dont ya wander to the launches at wilson and olcott and see if the ice is blown out with the rain . tho i cant play till after vacation at the end of Feb.
  8. Chaos so your selling "hot stuff"no wonder you fled the state so quick. i hope you didnt tell MM about the kinks in the cable on those downriggers and how they stick at 75ft.and wont come up .from the looks of his post he's gonna sink with all the equipment he's been buying, maybe i tought him too much.phew good news on the boat them close calls kinda make ya wanna pull over and releave your self or at least snap the crap off your thong.were nearing flood stage in the localcreeks and rivers here but for the most part all is well. i fished your lake a few weeks back and the fishes were asking about ya they mumbled something like, its about time someone threw something at us we couldnt resist.dont know what that was all about but i think they were dishing you..hey as long as your out that way why dont ya find us some hot spots to hunt elk.thats all the random thoughts i got for now..no wait..............
  9. as most should know by now the "cellular one" wireless service provider has been bought out by "at&t"the plan i chose was a little cheaper and with the 3 phones all togeather i was quoted 104.70 per month ..with 30.00 famly unlimted messaging plan and photo sharing with NO OVERAGES which is clearly printed in there broshure. well first month bill was 104.70 2nd montha slight increase to 250.98 .now you all know i ant the brighest bulb in the box but even to me that seemed a tad steep for inflationary measures.so i rush right over to my new at&t family and say ,whats up!and shure enuf they confirm my beliefs that 250.98 is more than the 104.70 quoted.after staring at the computer screen the clerk call the majic number pushes the phone keyboard a couple hundred more times to get to the person to whom he is calling ,after several thats pretty shady and were gonna get a lot of flack for this he hangs up and tells me my bill is 114.30 extra 10.00ish was some games my son downloaded.walks over to the broshure shelf rereads the no overages part and informs me that i can send photos for free but the company added a approx. ,,,,,.50 cent each charge for internet time without telling anyone or changing there broshures i havent checked back to see whats going on with this "free charge" but i will keep my NO OVERAGES broshure real handy comes next months bill .........so heads up if your at&t bill is a tad higher this month than last Ray K............ same company cell phone customer from 1994(bag phone days ) to present..so far
  10. welcome uncorked drop your questions down to the tackle board and you should get better responses i love my 65lb pwr pro dypsy rig , but i still keep a couple wire rigs on board too probly will try pwr pro 150 or 200lb test on at least 1 rigger this year.
  11. tommy where ya been ive been smashing ya pretty good with no responses
  12. theres been some talk on the red line some good and bad glangler had a heated discussion last year you might be able to do a search there, also in the upper right area of this site there is a search area you could try but the 10lb test got my attention more than the line used seems a little light for the big pond tho i do toss out my ultralight when i want a challenge now and then. 10 lb will land anything in onterio but that pore puppy will be mighty played out for a good release, i run 14 and 15 lb with good results and you can horse on the fish to get it in a little quicker 17 and 20 lb in a tourny for added inshurance type in berkly vanish in the search box..........
  13. thanks bill i hoped you would chime in there ,my reference to the bellcrank ,and detent switch thingy comes from my past of working on helocopters.sometimes my use of proper nomenclature ant so sharp when she comes to this boat stuff, but your soo right overtighten that clevis thingy in the outdrive area or over snip the cable and it back to napa for more stuff .it was pretty easy on my 4 banger everything right there on the side but i can pull my doghouse in a couple minutes and that opens up the whole back end of my boat.Hank is da man just dont shake his hand unless your ready for reconstructive surgery, hes got a grip like a gorella but gentle as a lamb in his heart.
  14. if the lower cable is out of adjustment, or more likly starting to stick , it puts more resitence on the bellcrank thingies near the detent switch, my falures have been more noticable going to nuteral or mostls reverse, then like you said shuting down at the most unappropate time that will learn ya to make a more proffesional slower approach to the dock.why it does it less in the driveway could be a more gentler shift(non panic omg. im gonna hit the dock too fast too fast, bang crap) or something simular.bout the only fix is to replace the cable, ( if its sticking) ive done the force some oil down the sleve to get 1or 2 more trips but it will come back at the most inconvienent time ,like a 20 mph tail wind blowing you towards the dock on a hot approach, geter done now and pm hank for a couple trix that will say you some adjustment time after the install if needed, but if your destioned to save a few bucks just keep a 28lb anchor near the back of the boat and use that to slow down your approace hope this helps Ray K.
  15. cant i got a bad knee..........tried one of those bar stools built for 4 then some one hollard out to turn the darn thing over, the other 3 guys got a little bent but it was much softer sitting on the cushion
  16. musky i remember when you used to fish outa my boat...key word used to, just clear a path to the next table
  17. no i think im destioned to be a happly married man content to ripping my fishing buddies, the only racks i can chase and grab ahold of are hooked the the body of a white tail (deer).but i did stay at a holliday in express last night..
  18. dont forget the shortcut through Corning then you could pick me up on the way and if you forgot your boat we could hook mine up and fish outa my tub
  19. Just got off the phone with siggsrigs the new flys are his "PULSE LINE " ,10 new colors hes got them he just hasnt up graded his site yet, stix i think you ment the "purple mirage" yes it does look pretty good and i think i know just where to use it.........im thinking of asking him for a refund on a bluegreen hypnotist color fly of his i used last year, i wish i took a photo of that fly new then with each fish i caught with it last spring. seems like the more beat up it got the faster the cohos were smashing it right down to the last pices of mylar left out of fairness to Sig ive landed well over 30 cohos on that one fly and plan on useing it this spring 12"behind a 00 flr.orange dodger.on the other hand 30 plus fish i guess i did get my moneys worth
