hey there USMC if ya got any napalm left laying around drop a couple on silverlake that should melt the ice and delay the tourny.you got to learn to use your bomb bay to your advantage -

ok i get this call from a guy about his furnace running a little goofy in the past but ok now, and he wants me to look it over........so the nice (easy) guy i am i drive over like 3 blocks away .after checkind the air partical seperation device i discovered it was working at full capicty (filter dirty in laymans terms) .now when i get there their is 2 guys i didnt think too much into it but after using my 25plus years of heating systems experience and dicovering a problem (dirty filter)that only a top notch service technicion could possably figure out , then they lay it on me!!! one is that rookie from lindly tripleduce50 and some other rookie who couldnt catch a fish in a fishbowl with a hand gernade.so for the next hour i spill my guts to these poor saps who dont know which end of the pole to hold .now it looks like im destioned to take em to the lake in my boat and show em how to thread a worm on a hook. the only encouraging thing is when his wife pulled in from work with the diaper bag and purse andlaptop in one hand and getting the baby out of the car with the other hand ,he ignored her pleas for help and continued to talk fishing so maybe there is chace to make a real fisherman out of these guys ,time will tell.. you mean tom fisherman the time he was barfing over the side in that light chop he was probly thinking about the upcoming football season and how bad his team was gonna stink,or the time he was driving west into the sunrise(for most of us the sun rises in the east)then he wiped out that whole racoon family with his car and lost the first fish of the day during a derby,or he might of had a premination he was gonna drive over a curb and bend a axle on his trailer ,or head into shore wide open and pull his downrigger with the temp probe after he got to the dock(bwaaaahaa haa ha)omg i gotta take a beer break then well get into the getting lost thing and running out (hmmmmph) of gas Haaaaa Haaaaa Haaaa o sorry gosh i like that guy,,thats just the highlights from the 9 months ive known him ..................gee now i feel kinda bad sorta like picking on the handicap, glad i didnt mention his name or the other things that happened in the last 9 months

jst got a PM from www.siggsrigs.com and he"s got some new stuff in the works.. if your new to the site or salmon fishing ya need to check out siggs flys put a green hypnotist behind a mtn dew spin dctr and yer gonna catch salmon or get your tackle ripped off your pole this setup workes great on seneca on wire back about 250ft for some big lakers also.and if your lure challenged give sig a call tell him where you fish and he'll give you some hot suggestions.

hey bob i do the same thing in my SYLVAN man we gotta get togeather as a team.L.O.U.S.E.R.S. kinda got a ring to it.
-
im a fishaholic i havent caught a fish for 15 day now though ive been thinking about it a lot latly .ive found if i drink beer and sit in the boat in the driveway that helps.
-
i dont fish for them but i catch em by mistake when trolling ,they fight like a larthogic laker but the rubber thingies are supposed to be the hottest thing at the north end of seneca now so rumer has it ,im just a middle man here if ya cant troll for em i dont use the bait i need both hands for my beverages.....
-
jason i dont need you to mess up my post with the facts im trying to mentaly smash moto before the fishing starts just to make him weaker, hey moto with my new cell phone i can give ya live video (if the towers upthere have been upgraded)of me catching fish just to make you feel a little more inferior.
-
get yourself a pack or two of those prerigged rubber jigs the big 4" size if you want to cast and blast ,trolling any stick thats grey or grey will work natural will work also ya gotto add 1 splitshot up the line a bit(6ft) for trolling to keep your lure clean longer as you need to be over weeds
-
i think tbrmd ment 10 ft below the ball,2 to 3 color is what ive heard of mostrun everything straight and clean (natural) thelead drops you a little lower than the ball and kinda sways around back there giving the lure more natural evasive action as you know this is usually run down the middle as a bigboy rig but if your up for some experminting put one on each rigger (dont do this with your dypsys out)and do some gentle zig zags, speed changes and NO sharp turns whatsoever, also when your tying so many knots in line double check each one real good for strength and slippage
-
oh man the plume of the niagra is looking pretty hot, wish i was on the edge of that
-
ive run a simular rig (minnow cluster)to a umbrella rig it drags a ton and i pulled it before i ever got 1 fish .as with any attractant if the fish are spooky your wasting your time if there aggressive maybe it will work...spoons, spindctrs, sticks are all i use on the fingers( 99.9% of the time)and i dont think ive been skunked in the last 6 or 7 years. couple close calls though

Lakers, you could drop some green dolphins below the mud line theres gotta be some lakers under there feeding maybe 35 to 50 ft then ya can hook a slider to your main line and get more stuff out if you get your limit of LL. early and the lake ant to bad head north on the west shore not to close as the bottom can get a litle goofy there. throw out your dypsys 220 ft on 2.5 settings with green spin dctr with green fly and head up towards the power plant if it nice out this will be a good ride on the lake with a view still run surface stuff as fish are in pockets everywhere on that lake purple and blk or silver should get some attention in the clear water ,natural sticks like any fishery try different colors as time permits and you may get a big surprise ...greens ,blue/silver,blk silver ..sticks are good reliables. maybe hermit or frisco will spill a little for us all................Good Luck Ray. first of all get that trailer regestered,i ant the expert on cayuga but the surface bite should still be happing ,opps you will probly launch at tahanauc (spelling)or at least plan on it in case the canal is still frozen plus at low lake levels in the winter one wrong turn in the first 400yds of the lake could leave ya grounded, the launch is about 6 mi north of ithaca on the west side they got a bubbler so it shouldnt be froze.try the mud line off the park (northside of the line is more defined) keep stuff on top to 5 ft down yellows,gold/orange ect. usual mud colors sticks spoons 2.5 ish mph gps will work fine for speed, east west trollhead out on northmost side of mud line and turn south and back in a big circle watch the surface temps you might be plesently surprised at what you see that will tell you when to start your turn.if ya ant got boards drop your riggers to 10ft back 75plus then ya free up the top for more stufflandlocks will hit near the boat but i like to run long leads so you can watch em jump a few times before ya get em in check the length regs for this lake and have a ruler handy for rapid release of short fish
