  1. hey watch how you talk about my purple and silver thats a number one on seneca on my tub, what other colors were working hmmmmmmmmmmm.im waiting ,,,,,,,,,,,,,
  2. i ant much on the bass but if ya got some experience plan on some dock (shallow) fishing and some 30 ft stuff too, now ya take a white grub with a 1/3 oz head and a ultralight with 4 or 6lb and ya might find some landlocks in the am,there was a guide who went to the sanders website and he covers the fingerlakes really good Capt. John . cant think of his last name, shelldrake is famous for laker fishing you might get some early trolling near shore if ya got a rod holder so you can paddle and troll ..
  3. thanks for checking me up i almost went into a rage,,,,,,,,, with all the foot trafic on that path a 10 thousnd. cross walk light and some paint strips on the road would of left a lot of money (3mill for the closed overpath) for some handicap axcess to fish the creek,to fish many creeks in the state how sweet for a wheelchair bound person to roll up to a spot and fish, without having to be hauled in by his buddies .... hey its almost a holiday thanks to you guys serving be safe and come home soon ....... GOD BLESS AMERICA........
  4. not that we would be interested in any longlegged bar maid but we should know where this place so we could act like gentlemen and talk fishing(ant that right capt johnson).. with a name like ours i cant figure why the phone ant been ringing off the wall with sponsers,,,, but there will be some SIGGS RIGS FLYS behind our flashers stay away from the green mirage it will keep catching fish causing you to set down your beverage to reel in another fish specially behind a gr mtn dew spindocter.. keep your eye on the board for TEAM L.O.U.S.E.R.S. (start at the bottom).....
  5. vic its a macho thing to underestamate waves at 4;30 they were a little more sporty(more macho talk),if you get out soon that school of cohos was 2 miles long west 3 miles they didnt start playing good till 1pm which has been my best fishing window so far this year with the exception of spring olcott fishing,so why on the water at 0430 you ask ,well i like to see the sunrise more important the seagulls can teach you a lot about where the night feeding was happening the early gull gets the wounded baitfish which are less than 1/2 mile from the fishies that wounded them ,mother natures finest fishfinder, ive never saw as many wounded bait as i did sunday it was like feeding seagulls fries in a mcdonalds parking lot for the first 45 min then they were gone (the birds)by5;30 if when im headind out at 430 and the breakwall ant got no seagulls sitting on it they be out there filling up on wounded bait..find them and you know the rest...........be one with the birds till they s#%% on ya then ya shoot em........
  6. is that a trick question i said i dont run em heck a tripped dypsy with a spinny gives ya more of a fight than most lakers but i always have a green dodger,e chip or ,spin dctr 4ft behind the ball. at 86ish ft when in laker mode same as RR 22"ish also the same on the small spoon program up high or right in the middle of the bait balls looks like a woonded minner leaving the pod
  7. that last photo gots Yankee Troller justa drooling..............
  8. hight is good for keeping the line and releases outa the water which is a good thing specially when ya got weeds and crap on the surface the angle (back) of the line and the drag of the lure will pull the release away from the boat dont reply to (2 rods) from rochester hell have you on lakers faster than beagle on a rabbit.......mine are 8 ft above water but 5 or 6 will work unless you want to run your boards out more than 75 ft
  9. lightning your to slow got his name on our team regesteration sorry THE L.O.U.S.E.R.S............
  10. this mornings paper had a tax fig of 124 million last year on the gas wells give me 1 mill. to work with and a couple of chain gangs and we could make a diff. in this states fishery, but that would involve common sence and not ,envirermental impact, months of planning with the same results,58 people trying to decide what to do from a office 100's of miles away, decisions made on survays heck i caught more fish in one day last year than reported on the seneca lake survey, opps i forget im just a plummer what do i know...........(start at the old mercury plant in hammondsport and go upstream and ckeck out the main spawing stream for browns, rainbows, and landlocks in keuka lake) once or twice a year you will find a group of guys from avon deciding the best way to fix the problem.....give me a big dozer and front end loader and 200 gal fuel and ill have the problem fixed for the next 20 years in a week....throw in a couple groups of corrections work gangs and well be good for 40 years........I like fishing do you like fishing i pay your wages hello is there anybody there ,maybe we could spend 10 million on a foot path like the one along catherine creek that still ant open and gets used by 10's of people every year maybe 20 or 30 and i bet 1/2 on them dont fish or hunt (dont spend money on linceses) then once its built ya gotta maintain it or some tree hugger will trip and sue the state (us) ..............breath deep and go to work we need more tax money....
  11. might be looking for a newer kicker the oll 9.9 1964 ant sipping the gas and is a little noisey, elect start or charging system prefered somehere in the 10 hp range using a 8 hp now and that ant too bad 1000.00 ballpark
  12. Its official the L.O.U.S.E.R.S. are a team and were in,well checks in the mail dont nobody steal our team name.. me duh captian, think well be at fowlers marina on the east side ..FISHINMAN(TWO RODS) :? MUSKYBOB(CURTIAN GUY) AND RAY K. ( BUFFY)
  13. how bout if ya preregester by a given date before the derby not the day your gonna fish ,you can fish all night every one on the boat must pre register also no cutoff time...why overwork the weigh sta for a few cheaters if ya dont pre regester then ya quite early might even get a few more daily guys to regester for the whole derby.hmmmm more money !!!!!!!!!!!!maybe the guys in 20th could win enuf to buy 10 gal gas.
  14. 2.5 to 2.7 works fine with lakers as does all the salmon rigs i just dont run wire or dypsy as lakers can usually be caught with min. effort (they ant to smart or fussy)usually the presentation determins speed (cowbells, flutter spoons, ect.) they dont wait for the school of slow bait to swim by,another misconseption is people fish deep for lakers all the time, they come outa temp to eat more than a lot of guys realize thats the beauty of learing you stumble onto something that others say dont work ..you find a deep pocket at low tide in saltwater you better be ready for some of the fastest catch rates you ever had ,and the locals quite fishing at low tide i head out as they head in no pressure and heavy consentrations of fish (in the pockets) yuo do the math...
  15. nothing i got food coors light and some water and every thing needed all for the price of free all ya gotta do is show up . you can call my cell anytime during the night that im fishing (after i post invite ) ....well as for today i was on water at 4:30am, steady 3to4 ft chop (yea)till 11:00 slow morning 3 landed 10lb biggest, lost 3 and had several short hitsand a bunch of dinks ..sorta tuff to change lures alone so i had to dragwhat i put out with the wind, tom (2 rods)called as i was tying a loop in a Siggs Riggs green hypnotist to go behind a mtn dew spin dctr as i was putting it out it went off in my hand130ft on wire over 120ft water 3 miles west of port (johnson creek)nice 10 lb choho, they liked the long lines ,lead and wire, did three doubles in 1 hr all from the same 10lb mold , sliders were good just about everything was working heading eastlemon ice,pur/pink, tamiron honeybee sliderthat run 3miles west of the wall going east was great the down temp went from 65ft 40deg to 50 ft 40 deg by 4pm ,1pm to4pm,was a hot coho bite then the browns and bows showed up ,i think the full moon slowed the am bite . oh first light i saw wounded sawbellies every where so did the sea gulls,it was a poopy start that turned good if i wasnt so tired i think a good king bite could of happened the last 3 hrs of daylight, had one big boy hit as i was ending the day almost spooled my lead rod, then it got free. i think it was a big brown as it just kept dogging out slow not ripping like a king dont know where the big boys went today pretty good day >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>............
  16. AT THE OAK at 445am sunday morn. 607769 7947
  17. i agree it would be nice ,even if two or more boats share the same name its not like there all going to be on the board, boat name ,captian(owner)and fisherperson should all be reconized................they all had part of catching fish.. Hey I Just figured why God made the june transition slow fishing period ,, so it would be easyer to attend graduation partys.........but im going tommorow slow or not might even stay monday.........
  18. i think the mounts at gander MTn. have the taxid, names under them....that trailer still trying to pass you?
  19. if your useing inlines and there popping to the boat your lines are to short and or your rod tips are too high, the added action to the lure as the board skips probly ant a bad thing i always run a long lead on my mini board but i might try a short lead next trip when the surface temp drops(so.blow for us over here) or the propwash spoon fires the planer kinda acts like a attractor .. hmmmm
  20. a friend of mine bought a older fiberglass and used a steam jenny on it and it looked great when it was done.dont know if was any good for the glass but the gelcoat was already shot
  21. couple beautiful lookin g "X" s musta been a good fight ........
  22. ok so who cares , but good news im back ,bad news im back, when in flordia on emergency leave i sorta been watching the board ,its been looking more like a fishing forum , instead of a public bashing grounds ,tom (2 rods) stumbled on a couple confused salmon as he was targeting lakers ,while eating a bananna split ,yankee forgot how to troll and went back to bass(hmmmpff) fishing, muskybob hasnt got his new boat outa the driveway or maybe he has and his girlfriend finished the curtians that might explane those 4ftrs on the windless days near osweago, billy v put his skies away and pulled outa port and hammered em looks like he went back to sking ,couple new guys been trying to pry some info on fishing teqnicks, my boat has dryrotted (and its aluminum),oh i did get to fish in flordia with a guy who,s cought it all (kinda like me)3247 cast with a surface temp of87degrees 2 baby snook,3ladyfish(1/2lbrs)and 1 jack(garbage fish)and we were done ..............fishing then ya got a 2 hr washdown when ya get back home due to salt water , tom no matter how i tried i couldnt cast and sip a beverage(beer)next time its one of those party hats with a straw ,good thing i wasnt fishing alone that FLA. sun coulda done some serious damage to the cheeks, id rather troll allday for 1 fish than do that again.next time its back to my honey hole with live shrimp, musky i might do some pre fishing outa sodus this weekend with this little heat wave i just booked up the next three weeks for new air cond. systems looks like ill be working 3 days a week for a while, oh yea bob the good news is we got a place to stay for free at sodus ,the bad news is we might have to take a trip to lake erie for a wally run to pay this guy back, bummer another fishing trip. bad news my sister lost her daughter 28yrs last week ,next time your on the water take a moment to thank God for what we have ,take a moment to phone a relative or friend just to say Hi! you havent spoke with recently, and hug your kids every day , even if they think the raiders are a good football team..Its good to be home.
