WOW THOSE ARE HUGE , nice fish too (he he),hey i was talking about the big smiles on the bullfrogs ,hadda laugh as to your dress i was all bundled up comming off the lake and when i got to shore everyone was in shorts and T shirts even the girls not that i noticed ,didnt take long to strip down to my speedos (too cold for my thong ) im heading for seneca in couple min. looks like i better keep my hat (and shorts) on today so i dont burn my heads,

SORRY, ya know over the years people have cheated or broke the rules in the adult div. but they didnt quit paying out there i think the kids need a better chance than 1 for some payback ,for us a day on the water goes by faster than we want for some kids it seems like forever,the seneca lake derby has had a youth div. for years my son has placed in the youth div. twice and looks forward every year to this even in the peak of his testoserone years 17,they have youth,teenager,women ,old fart,div .also im shure some of the tackle mfgs, who get a lot of advertisement here and on other boards for free and the best kind word of moulth, would kick in some prize money or prizes for the kids,,,,,also by doing this for the kids its like pen rearing just like my son looks foward to the seneca derby and will after im gone more kids would come back to the waters imprinted in them in the derby on ONTERIO not to mention the real important issue here and that is take a (2 rods) fishing. huh ,water pump on moter or impeller in out drive sounds like your talking about doing both you can smoke the impeller in the out drive in seconds running it dry im talking dont even crank and start for a sec or two unless the thing is wet kinda a old timers marina scam to change a few,as far as motor water pump biggest diff that i could see was the heater hose outlet is solid casting on boat (no heater or hose) and drilled on auto if you didnt do the above id be right there when they pull the old one if the impeller is melted looking in the pump walls id pull out my digital take some photos and ask to see the owner , ,,,pm me if ya got some questions

yea ,sorta maybe, hope this helps,,. speed is the most important to lure presentation as you know there are pretty wierd currents on the pond ,but the good news for spring is your fishing top water so under currents no problem ,spoon weight ,hook size,spoon size all effect lure action as a given rule for me 2.3 mph to 2.7 mph mostly in the 2.5 -2.7 range gps (mph)lures work right out of the package here ,just watch your lures a little at the boat,if all looks kinda make mental note of engine sound RPM speed at which the bubbles or spit goes by,if your in shallow 10ft or less then ya gotta change fluctuate lures with throttle if your a little deeper you can do some 45 deg zig zag turns.color and temp are kinda important in the spring a 1/2 deg change is big ............ go to www.attheoak.com scroll down to TOTAL CHOAS or sumpting like that then spring fishing that will help more what i can tell ya Good Luck

just got my brush in the mail its just beautiful cant wait to try it out,oh wait that was my new multi colored 3 speed rotator with a hooper dooper fly,i did just put my roof racks on in case i find a canoe laying around up that way might go to class on friday if it dont snow to much,

30+ mph winds outa the north kinda kills the whole ny shoreline,never fished osweago area ,musky bob will chime in soon thats his stomppin grounds,look down a ways under weather (previous post) and there is some good links to lake weather,a little sun and gentler winds should put the fishing back on track fast them fishes are probly a little hungry the bumpy water keeps the food spread out,i might even talk myself in to hitting the pond this weekend,,,,,,,,yep im going that was easy just do like the rest of us and check the reports every 10 min. or so :shock:

I bought a good grade outdoor carpet for my last boat it was in good shape after 15 yrs hard use .. with all the marine dealers up that way get out the phone book..

jimski , my boat has 3 axcess areas for each tank ,2 are about 8" in dia and fasten to floor with several screws,in the middle is a large screw cap that removes easly for yearly inspection, you might consider installing a couple of these in connection areas,or make a raised panel out of 3/4 ply that can be removed with less effort than pulling floor ,my old boat was poorly designed also so i made the plywood acess panel, i just feel its more important to be proactive on safty issues than wait till im leaking gas or overlook any other safty areas of my boat, not to mention the unthinkable...........cutting a fishing trip short due to a problem :? :? :?

probly is sealed from factory if ya can slice it with utility knife then pry with screwdriver or try boiling water ya gotta pour it slow as rubber conducts heat slowley ya might rig up a funnel with a hose to direct hot water to area probly will take several gal. ,,if it is glued or sealed ya gotta slice poke and pry,ya better hurry 70 deg on monday..if your near corning i can always help on a challlanging project,if its easy its easy if it ant it ant nothing is impossable just will take a little longer

jimski, you need to take a boating safty class ,even the most basic class tells you to inspect fuel system ,many things learned in a boating class could say lives or injurys,anyone leaving the dock on any body of water should have some professional advise after over 30 years on the water i felt very comfortable boating ,during my boating squadron class i learned how much i did not know best 40.00 i ever spent, the Coast Guard has enuf to do without checking every fuel line on every boat take a course be accountable for yourself it could be your life you save........or mine,,,or if ya got a hoist on board ya might even pull muskybob from the water(big hoist) :)I bet old Musky has a suggestion for me on plainer reel location,at least they should be safe frum UV. rays outa the sun and all......

Morning bob just got the wife up to shovel the drivway .dont know why shes always so grumpy. i tell her its for own good someday when im gone she will need to do this herselfshe kinda understood untill i mentioned ,gone fising,gone hunting as she was walking out the door , then she got a little mad so i locked the door to give her some time to cool off,kinda feel a little guilty about not giving her a coat,aw how cute it looks like shes gonna curl up in my boat WAIT SHE NEVER GOES IN THE BOAT.................
