sluggo ,tha thing ya got to remember about cayuga is those fish got a real good grip with there jaws ,make shure you remove the hooks from your lures or you will never catch one , dont listen to most of the post here as the slower ya troll the worst ya will do keep it about 15mph that way youll cover more water and greatly increase your chances of getting the big one,if ya see some one jigging circle there boat several times at max wake to sorta help there jigging action simular to what a jet ski would do , that bobber thing i would have kepted to myself as the biggest fish ive ever landed was using that secret approach , hope this helps me i mean you .Ray K.

HANK,i just rebuilt moter this winter and one of my intake valves was tuliped just under carb i assumed it was due to hydrolic possably water got into intake .. today i was talking to mech. who said a bulliten was sent to dealers that the 3.0 needed mid prefferd high grade gas due to pinging ,would a mid grade with octane booster work or just go with the (gulp) high test kinda thinking long run pinging might of tuliped valve as the seat was still pretty good before rebuild 125 pressure test..only went 0.20 over runs like new 4700 rpm with 17 pitch prop i know its a little high on rpm but both tanks were almost empty and my tackle box was home, Ray K.

just got my outdrive fixed almost ,the shifter got a little bent during install,one more reason to do some things myself but i wont go there ,,,took for test run then i slowed to a troll with or/white,black dot honey bee,hooked one nice LL. only 3or 4 lbs but it ran like a salmon oh it was, no jumping though,only had a few minutes to troll west side just below tiki bar on surface 200 ft back...lots of crap,stix ,logs,out there keep a eye out didnt have my F.Finder so i cant help on the bait pods oh surface temp38.6 to 38.9 lake is 1ft ish above normal canal ramp is open dont forget the fishing sale at the community center sunday 11:00 sharp it opens(jst kidding) 9:00am till 2:00pm Ray K. after reading post about cayuga just now 6:43 pm sat ,it reminded me the LL. i caught had 3 eels on it these fish ant got a chance in seneca so far this year 100% of the fish ive caught had eels , and i havent given fishing a chance yet this year,

they been hammerin the pearch bout 2miles down and oppisit side of roys marina been about 20 boats there for 3 weeks

shawn from bartnett marine was down to look at the damage to lower unit ,as we were talking he asked if i was just a rec. fisherman because he noticed all the tackle on board i explained i was just a little nuts about fishing ,,, the problem is i havent even brought my stuff outta the basement yet i just tossed a couple items in there to have if i wanted to fish while testing my rebuild job this winter i guess the first step is to admit i have a tackle problem .........whew that was tough.......now i can go to dicks with my 75.00 gift certifacate with a clean mind he did point out a good problem or condition on my boat that the coastguard did not bring up in my courtesy inspection;;all accessory hot leads from the battery need to be fused within 10" from the battery to help prevent a fire if a wire wears through before the fuses at the dashboard makes sence, another 40 dollar bill to make a fuse buss near the battery yea..i ant got no problem i fish then i fish then i fish some more NO problem here

beaver in catherine creek, 24" native brown out of post creek almost 6lbs (hanging on the wall) nasty old eel in the hudson river jeesh that was spooky,fishing rod outa seneca lake,grabbed a wounded goose by the neck while in a canoe on seneca lake i won barely them puppies can raise a racket on there last leg.back in my jet ski days 1986 was riding standup stlye onkeuka lake when i saw a huge brown near the surface stoped and tossed it on the ski between my knees the thing came back alive as i made a pass by my friends i bit its lower lip and drove by with this 10lb fish dangling from my teeth maybe thats where i got my taste for fishing :shock:

i run 65lb pwr pro on 1 rod little thick but thats my slider rig no slippage due to dia.run wire on other 3 rods i kinda belive in the hocus pocus effect of the wire picking up signals from outer space plus my radio comes in clearer with wire out kinda think it puts out some kinda elect .field thats another discussion from the past ,if your not using sliders 40 or 50 lb pwr pro would work some run lighter i sorta like to keep my weak links at the end of my line sometimes stuff happens near the real.30lb wire also

can always get speed close with cables and action at surface i also have a calabrated spitomiter on board.temp is nice but if i mark fish at 50 ft thats where my spoons are regardless of temp,also fish outa temp are there for a reason......... like to eat ...........
