  1. OK maybe this will make more sence to some..your setup is about center of ballance (too much weight in engine area) try this ..sit in a canoe way in the back and paddle hmm what just happened yup ya just did some serious chining ... now put 50 lbs in the front and see what happens.or better yet put your foot on the floor with 95 % of your weight on your heel and pivot your toes side to side .....easy eh? now ballance your weight on heal and toe ................little tuffer to move toes side to side?? with proper ballance...kinda stinks to have to add 2 to 400 lbs of weight .... hey ya know any heavy chicks ya want to sunbath on the front of yer boat...problem solved.......unless ya got food in the back then yer sunk!
  2. Wanna see Thank You Everyone ,nice immage on the cake Tom man i could dig into that in a second. Yup at 56 to some I sound old ,and to others im a whippersnapper. The bones need to be broke in every morning from all the "GOOD TIMES" throughout the years, and it seems like im forgetting more than im learning..the oll spintker muscles seem to find it more diffacult to decipher between gas,Liqueds, and solids. Now I know why undies are sold 6 at a time..another "WHY" question ansewrd..I hope to be able to bash my friends for many more years, share a tad of smarts i ant forgot yet..And spend some pricious time with those I've come to call FRIEND over the years... Thanks Again Hope This Helps Ray K.
  3. the little anode thingy is only for high speed,,to help offset the torque ..at the wheel
  4. natural "chine" gotta toss some lead in the front
  5. hey thats bigger than it looks ,you have your arm back....
  6. 3.5
  7. judging from the body and the feed id say 1.5 the rack looks thick due to the velvet. ya have some good genes with guy dont let a ammy shoot it. 2.5 deer
  8. took a big pump for this one
  9. Sorry to hear the news. Yes over the years some of us salmon fishermen will slip up and hook into a bass, some will admit to it, usually as a accedent. Yes your next step in boating more than likey will lower yourself to the W.A.F.I. level.
  10. as far as needing it no.... it is a courtesy inspection and if they find any issues (required safty equipt.) ya wont get a ticket ... But if ya get checked by the big guys ya might not be as lucky ...Not everyone on the water has taken a safe boating class so it is a good heads up as to what you should have on board..I don't care if ya been driving a boat for 40 years everyone should be required to take a boating class,,their is a tad more to it than launching and driving....
  11. about 7 pm till dark the water comes alive with fish marks usually in the 40 to 70 fow, dont know what they are but seems to happen every nite and for the most part ya wont get a nibble...........
  12. Just a SAFETY WARNING TO ABOVE POST.............(I always anchor off the rear corner).............. If its dead calm water and all is well this could be the only time to consider rear corner.......... But if things are going bad (loss of power) or bumpy water NEVER NEVER NEVER anchor off the rear of the boat..you always want the bow into the wind and waves or you will end up on bottom faster than a rock..
  13. Certan folks on this site have recived warnings for "borderline comments",,,,,,,, in the early days of public websites they were coined as a "flame". Heck ive tossed a match or two in my life till my back hair started on fire, thats the main reason i had to quit smoking...hey the sun is out BUFFY TIME see ya!!
  14. nice backup Rick, know all ya need is a good Capt. to run her
  15. ahh sometimes i try to figure out everything on hookin up ........with fish too...any hook will get a fish sharpened or not,,but ant no doubt youll get less realeases and hookups with a dull hook..here is my pee brain theory....hav ya ever cut yerself with a razor sharp knife and not even felt it till it was too late? well super sharpened hooks (by hand)probly does the same thing to a fish..by the time its sensitive moulth feelsthe pressure of a sharpened hook it has already penetrated the point in its thin skin and is well on its way for a good hookset ....a dull hook is felt before it starts to "sink in" and the fish has a split second to spit the hook ....(two sides sharpen only not 3)
  16. geese on another post I saw a couple guys gettin all lippy with each other as who would beat who?? think it was yankeehawk, and tommatroller..
  17. 6 to 7 mph unless you actually want to catch one
  18. Ive heard salmon will hit small worms guess ya just proved that theory...starting to sound like Carlous Danger might make a good fisherman..
  19. well still none of the bigger ones yet but that has been the norm....but with a good 30 days growth could be some nice uns even 20 days will help a lot.well last year "droopy" was in pics we thought it was a injury but starting to suspect genetics better turn into camp meat before he starts breeding
  20. I could lern ya a thing or 2 bout fishing and maybe huntin too 607 769 7947
  21. this might help http://www.wtv-zone.com/riparian/tips.html
  22. Even tho Tim is right everyone should read and understand the Current Regs. Rules are different on many bodies of waters in our state..From size, limits, spices, hook size, # of hooks per line,or lure in some streams.
  23. anyone Can enter in the pro div. it cost more and the payout is much better ... down side is everyone who is currently a "Captian" or "Guide" or has been In the last, crap I think its 5 years...has to enter the pro only div.then yer buttin heads with teams with Charters who make a good part of their living Putting fish in the boat...Ams are us weekend warriors lookin for a fight with our rods and great amount of knowlage ok our ability to put a few fish in the boat , and stumble on a good pod of fish....as you can see from "Bobs boy" photo of the points board some Am's even put a little whippin on some Pro's,,,only the fish will tell after a storm or major upwelling... If ya never did a Pro Am I suggest you give it a go. To be part of the whole Pro / Am experence is pretty cool to say the least. You will meet some great people, maybe fish in some conditions not condusive to "normal"fishing conditions ,wind, waves, rain..yup sometimes ya get a good hand on the weather other times ya get crap .but so does everyone else for the weekend. After 2 days of hard fishing ya might be ready to give up or ya could get back in the saddle and hone yer skills For "THE NEXT PRO /AM" Trust me if ya love to fish, get some braggin rights, and maybe walk up and get a envelope full of cash, and some great prizes to boot..You need to give the Pro/Am a try..tho they are a year away now its never too early to prepare and get a team togeather....hey you never know?
