  1. Good for you rod to get involved. I didn't realize their was a old school AM. div. or I would of been in both east end just to whip you and daves(dodger) butts...even if all my towels are pink now..its nice to see some things go back to the (good o'll days)Instead of talking about how it used to be...even tho i've sold 50% of my rods and tackle ,i still got a good selection of bobers and worm hooks ........Lord willin next year I'm gonna fire up the tin can and come lookin for the "elusive drain plug" love ya bro. ray k
  2. probly gonna move in some warm water, deep stable water might be the best ,usally like stated 250 plus but after such a wind for 2 days they might go outa temp for food...just find the temps..their will be a good bite when its over
  3. Dude I change my undies after 3 stains...
  4. ahh what did i tell ya , now he's got the pee cup another year...I didnt have anyone to play with so i hit the river (chemung)
  5. Splitshot used the cup for a "Pee Cup" so handle with gloves..With a name like "Spoon Me" it nice to see its open to the LBGT community...........I saw "Billy V" tying a stringer full of fish to his dock,so I think their shoud be a "Glassy eye" check..............FOR THE FISH" .......CRIPS 1/2 the field would be DQ'd if for fishermen...I'm gonna check the weather ,might get some "buffy" time in just don't wanna burn my
  6. Ahh yes the story did get a little twisted probly as it bouncd around in my hollow head,,It was someone on Petes boat who passed out from heat or dehydration. as they were backing into their slip.... None the less it was Pete and a fellow boat mate that took the plunge.. to save disaster.. funny how stories can get relayed...None the less My hat is off to Pete And his teammate for taking the plunge to save their team.mate..Not to mention they got the comeback award (7th biggest box sunday) SOO Im gonna leave the first story it was a little off,, but bottom line Pete and his friend put it on the line to remove this guy from danger to a safe and good ending ... Thank You Sir for your service..
  7. Ive been so outa the loop i didnt even realize their was a AM again ....just figured it out tonight..
  8. For some saturday was tuff fishing along with one of our Boys in blue (PETE ) from the boat "On The Lam" who also in his spare time is a Police Officer in New Jersey. After getting a spankin from the fish Gods ,or maybe it was fate..he sorta drug his feet at his boat . Probly wondering what his team did so wrong to only get 2 fish..And this may have saved a life that day..I only have second hand info ,but was told when another team was having trouble docking their boat right behind him a older gentelman reached for the dock and fell between the boat and the dock. He then grabbed the dock and was gonna be the only thing between a hot boat and the dock.about to be crushed. Yes Our Officer Pete without concern for his own life dove in the water and braced his body between the boat and the dock keeping the struggling man from being crushed..then helping him out of the water safe . I hope someone confirms this event and notifies Pete's Home Police Department as I feel He Deserves to be recognized for His HEROIC ACTION , that day, he definatly saved some one serious injury or maybe his life... Yes his training ,fast thinking, and him being in the right place at the right time, had him take control of a deadly situation, without a bad ending.. I always thank our men in Blue ,and all our men and women in uniform, their might come a time when one of those "Kids" pull our butt out of a dangerous situation. I hope this post is accurate as I stated it was second hand info but from a good source.. THANK YOU SIR! Ray K. aka- buffy
  9. I ant gonna ask how you entertain yer self with a gizzard shad................
  10. well sounds like ya found the problem yerself...
  11. Sounds like Rick and Jonny might have to settle this like real men,,,,,,,,,,,,,,water balloons....fight..10 each at 20 paces at weigh in. for all to see who is the better man! then i might get in a side bet for a good cause of course (food pantry) ??
  12. Well I feel for ya. I've never experianced it and hope never have too.Tho some years in the spring when i do my iniatial start in the "DRIVEWAY" WITH muffs i find i need to clean or better yet replace points.(older inboard)..Over the years i've seen many a family outing or fishing trip gone bad after a long drive, carefully planned food and toys...It breaks my heart to see this happen. So diminish your chances of this happening to your friends or family and keep a good tuned up motor ,fully charged battery, and a good visual inspection of hoses, safety gear, and fuel... and if ya ant used the boat in a few weeks ,Start her in the driveway (with muffs) and lessen yer chances of a poopy time at the launch....And dont forget that trailer either even worse sittin along the road 1/2 way their in the middle of nowhere with a broke down trailer............Cars have a whole dasbord full of idiot lights to warn ya of problems ,but with a boat its up to a good mechanic. Also you should be familiar with some basic info of yer vessel ...Just in case.................. Good luck Ray.
  13. I used to be a little conservative on givin out info 1 day before a tournament!!! boy this is gonna be a long weekend....And I'm lookin forward too it.. Wayne said i had the whole back of the boat to myself to sleep...Just found out he ment on the swim platform.............arggh!
  14. Just got a invite to fish on a friends boat for the Oswego Pro/Am ..Yes Back in the days of the Pro/ Ams when their was a "Am" divison Team L.O.U.S.E.R.S. Had a LOT of fun,and we actually made it on the money board a couple of times. Even won the "donut award" 1 time ...whew... that means 0 fish...Ah yes those were the days ,before 2 kids in collage...At 17,000.00 for my daughters flute (one new boat) and over 35,000.00 in just out of state fees (even nicer boat) it was time for me to sorta retire. In other words "brokeitus"..Guess my priorities sorta changed, BUT not the oll fishing spirit I can still tell the difference between lure thingy, spinner whatc-ya-macall-it.,and that sharp thingy on the end..yes sir im gonna be a real ass it to my team guys. so when ya pass the "Green Dolphin" keep yer eye for this................ just my way of saying hi! oh and for you new guys wondering about our old team name I sorta wanted to put a little of this site that introduced me to some of the Greatest guys on the lake.......L ake O ntario U nited S almon E xcitement R ainbow S mashers.. see ya on the podieum I'll be the short fat bald guy sitting in the back...
  15. also some deep diving (just the 7ftish) stix or a lure with 1/4 to 1/2 oz keel sinker will work..,or a coupls size 3 splitshot 5 or 6 ft up the line. Right now with colder temps you can get away with this as surface (top 30 40 ft) warm up not so good...
  16. do ya know Bob Kieser..always tinkering with reels and poles,
