Either way its gonna be tuff on the locals who depend on the run for income..back in the day of "High water at noon" everyone pretty much had to leave the stream when the dam did their daily release.. maybe fish till noon? With hurricane season starting maybe a good east coast storm could happen, but most so far have stayed south..so far...Maybe they(dec) could set a downstream collection area hopefully someone is thinking ahead and is lookin at axcessable spots to do this...Hint Hint..... Dougleston has made millions off thier land maybe they should think of a way to protect their investment with a lower collection area....We know the eggs have to be perfect for collection (timing is everything) so every option has its challanges.....Time Will Tell!!!

Good for you ,as a Trucker (s) you guys spend a lot of time behind the wheel.. Many drivers on the road find those big rigs anoying ,when all yer doing is racing the clock to get yer (our) goods to their destanation ,before they go bad or are outdated.. I hope all who read this take a second or two ,and think how yer food, building material,BEER, and most everything we use gets to the shelvs we take for granted... YUP is a special breed that keeps America rolling behind the scenes and on our roads... Everyone who reads this give them truckers a wave (not the finger) let em slide in every chance you get ...Many of us at the end of the day go home open the fridge crack a beer or grab a snack,,,while those truckers are out batteling road construction, paying 10bucks to take a quick shower, and sleeping in a little bed along the side of the road in their truck waiting for the loading docks to open.. Glad and honered to know you Guys and nice to see ya relax.....AND I HOPE YOU ANT THE S.O.B. THAT CUT ME OFF 2 DAYS AGO Ray K. Thanks .... -

maybe 350 made his first mistake I have ever saw I have 4 87 cannons and mine are all hard wired with no short stop or circut board but maybe in 86 they did so ya might be right as usual..bill. If ya got voltage to yer moter leads in the down position my guess would be brushes, almost doesnt make sence ...with the unit apart gently tap to moter with a screwdriver handle and see if ya get a little action never had to tear a moter apart so in not shure what the brush holders look like

So ya saved how much at wallmart? as you know now ya ant fishing bluegills "Termanal Tackle" is not the place to save a few bucks at 6.00 a spoon and 15.00 to 25.00 for a spinny setup ya learn real quick,,,, but sometimes a wild thrasing wraped up Bow, or Landlock will twist out a split ring or swivel no matter how good it is .but very very seldom... also be shure ya deploy them spinnies with care as sometimes you can sorta "double back" the swivel on itsself and yer line will twist off at the release..

My outboard cowel has a latch but ya gotta outsmart it..... whew guess losing 1 spoon I ant doing too bad.. some of you guys have lost more stuff in 1 season than i have in 20 years...maybe i shouldnt of said that,,,,season ant over yet A fish outrunnin the boat and crossin the rigger cable is one thing , but a good "Preflight" check needs to be done before every trip ,they ant but about 1/2 dozen moving parts to check ,cable, weight eye, termanation wear, leaders.clutch(no need to have em lose if ya ant fishing in very close) and of course that elusive latch AND the nuts and bolts that hold the latch in place including cowel stress cracks......BUT if ya like reeling in copper every rigger bite 2 to 4 dypsys every rigger bite and maybe a leadcore or two deploy em.. Me Ive cut down to 3 riggers and 2 dypsys and PAY attention to the rods..this year I have had more 20lb class hit the surface like a steelie only to dive back down ,if you miss the inital hit and dont raise or clear the junk lines yer gonna have a mess and probly loose the fish and tackel..also when a rigger fires relax and hit the up switch so ya have 1 less rigger to deal with then yer ready to redeploy AFTER checking yer line, swivel, split rings, hooks, and DRAG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Trust me Ive had "those days" in the past just not that bad....OH and another thing is the driver who lets the stearing wheel loose to try to help with net or clearing ANT helping the situation..I put the fish on rod in the holder and clear what needs to be cleared..if thier hooked good with proper drag they ant going nowhere..your choice big tangle and lose gear AND fish or relax clear stuff and ENJOY the fight....ME i like relax get the fish in and redeploy...Without retying ,opening a new package and kicking myself.. in the

Where to mount Dippsy rod holders; forward or aft?
ray koziatek replied to Trout Bum's topic in Tackle and Techniques
mine are forward closer to center...if yer turning so sharp that ya lay the lines across the riggers yer probly turning too sharp anyways sometimes with my boat 22ft alum. and a strong side wind ill speed up a tad or if its real bad ya might wanna consider popin the one thats gonna be (could be) draggin across the wires... i usually only "force the turn" when i need to get back to a "hot " spot on a slow day or derby. -
think i better bring my scuba gear next trip, has anyone recently dove ontario is the bottom silty
