I still dont get all the E gas dANGERS ,i'm fully aware of the lost power in all engins and how stupid it is to use it as a supplement due to mpg lost, offsets consumption ..my motor is 1974 ,my boat is 1987 ill leave my fuel from fall one year till may, june the next year ,dont use a stablizer or additive never seen a can of sea foam in my life,,other than cleaning my points every 2 years my moter starts fine ,runs fine, never had a fuel line issue (except my weed eater replaced clear lines 1 time in 8 years) also i dont have a water seperator on the boat (still in box in cellar) and my engine still runs great, I know all the dangers to some rubbers and fiberglass tanks,,but my 1987 fuel lines are good as new.. In my line of work (Heating A/C ) poeple always ask "how often should i replace the filter? " I say when its dirty!!! But the guys who make the filter say every 30 days......hmmm wonder who is pushing all the additive and dangers hype..??? and i sometimes wonder if their could possably be a lobbiest somewhere pushing ethenol,,,,naaa couldnt be.........I got a first hand reason why 60,000 jobs were lost in one steel mill area in ohio....was it competision from another country ?????yup russia bought them up and shut em down now they got the steel bids..lets say im 100% shure my source was 100% truthfull...

well with the wind as you say their ant no easy way.....did ya ever notice birds and planes take off and land into the wind?? boats are the same circle so ya can get yer nose in the wind and make a 45 deg approach at the right time turn yer wheel and gently slide to the side of the dock...or as Musky says "prepare to RAM"...every boat has different handling due to weight and steering system so if ya can get a "experenced "boater to make it look easy to ya a few times you can see what im talking about ... then try to imatate , each docking situation has its challanges.. A slow steady Approch will always always end up with better results than "forcing the issue" and as embarrasing as it might be if it dont feel right back out and retry again with a clean approach...dont back away 1/2 way and try to correct it usually gets worse and the sweat and nerves start to form.......Youll get it sooner than ya think....

I changed from what chuck tought me just a tad (fine tuned) and landed our last of 12 (3fish) in less than 5 min.if we go tomorrow them fish ant gotta chance he has fished here for over 20 yrs and is still shakin his head ,sometimes ya GOTTA teach a old dog a new trick fished from 6 to 3 with 2 hrs travel time nothing over 5 but in this area it sees heavy netting but the screen was full every inch.. a little west of Barcelonia but just wanted to share a good trip out...

Long line tangles, what am I doing wrong?
ray koziatek replied to MarkNY's topic in Questions About Trout & Salmon Trolling?
"Am I doing something wrong here." Yup runnin copper Been some interesting currents latly toss in a little wind on a turn and BINGO ya got a triple I only run 3 riggers and 2 dypsys ,could I run copper and lead too?? yup but to me their comes a point where its more work than worth...the bite is so good now keep it simple and enjoy....(were ya smiling as you untangled the mess)...derby fishing with a full crew to yank, pop, retrive, and clear rods then reset them all is dooable.. Remeber being on the lake enjoying the day is great catchin a fish is the bonus.. (some days) -
