  8. WELL another season winds down ..March has been 15 to 35 mph winds from the first, cutting into my boating time.....bummer but i still can tuck in around the islands but offshore and long runs have been out.. put over 800 miles on the little boat this year(14 ft) landed hundreds of fish from 8in to 4ft . grabbed the same on lobsters no 4 ftrs tho. ran through 40 tanks of air with many many more hours with the sorkle.. have been bit by 3 morrey eels circled by a school of 8 ft sharks,2 days ago had my first visit with a 12ft plus as he grabbed a 30 in grouper less than 10 ft away like musky on a cheetos in a derby. havent done much with the go pro but if ii get a chance in the next 7 days ill try for some good action shots.. I have found some really cool areas to spear fish (hunt) you gotta stalk the fish you want just like a deer but closer as the efficative range is 2 ft or less from the tip of the spear.....here are a few shots ................arrgh april 1st is fast approaching.............................
  9. ant L&M a brand of ciggerates ?
  10. the lighter the better
  11. maybe ill dig up a number or two ,dont play with yellowtail (fish) much kinda mushy and dont freeze well. found yer shirt and pants been hanging them at camp for security reason, their so big no one steps near the camper...also makes great wind block ......for the whole island ...... thinkin hudson in may...
  12. i drag a 18" kayak sea anchor about 15 bucks on my 22 ftr when needed, dont know how long they will last but mine is 5 years old and has around a thousand hours on it. And if Hank says its so (prop pitch) ya might be a little foolish not to follow his Idea.. One of the (oldest) er I mean best boat mechanic on lake ontario....(or NY state) trust me....P.S. I ant no slouch on mechanical thingys either yer motor will be happier with smaller pitch and you will to when the boat is more than empty...ya ant gonna get 10 more miles per gallon ,but a better matched prop and motor for the load being used (boat weight) will give ya better performance and use a tad less gas doing so,,,but dont look for fuel savings to offset the cost of prop, but a overstressed lower unit and motor might cost more than a prop in the long run......
  13. thanks for the follow up ....tell yer uncle ill give him 25.00 for the mount if he dont want it
  14. im down to my last 30 or id give ya some
  15. me still here ,,ohio key
  16. hmmm maybe i wont sell off my stuff yet .... ok sounding good lot of behind the senes stuff needs to be addressed but the general idea should be dooable. gotta keep common sence involved ,and the K.I.S.S. system intact. kinda shootin yerself in the foot ,but a mandatory radio call with lure, speed, D.O.W. might be a thought. nuttin worse than a new team gettin in a derby and having a score closer to O than near the top ten. probly #1 reason for new guys to not get started derby fishing. gotta thinkj outa the box sometimes not everyone can take aweek off to pre fish so sharing info would help everyone have a great time and make the prefishers sharpen yer fine tuning , and some satisafaction of truely helping a newer guy catch fish
  17. seeing things again?
  18. willya deliver ? big pine key fl.? I would like to try them before buying.
  19. Who is Richaaaaaaaard? I thought his name was AAAAAAAA SSSSSSSS SSSSSSSSSS .....hole... Hmm ! guess I learn something new. WELL DUDE ,I was at a Capt meeting last night ,the 2 day derby starts today.Mahi, king mackeral,wahoo,snappers,porgys,spanish/cero mackeral.... little different fishing than home ,gonna be in the 80's again today. Buffy fishing has a little more risk when bringing in fish with razor sharp teeth and strong enuf to bite off your finger, thank goodness they dont attack mini baits (me). Wife made me a protector from a sewing thimble just in case, little big for me but it works. Hope all is well as it can be and HAPPY BIRFDAY! time to load up the boat , 7 am shotgun start out a marina entrance 30 ft wide gonna be fun........ Hope it was a goodun Ray K.
  20. Might I suggest a mandatory meeting after the captians meeting of all observers for convience, and emergency fillins when someone cant show (observer) . Also at that time each observer could sign a sworn "legal" statment they will perform their duties as instructed. . . . .just me 2 cents
