  1. tuff to tell but after reviewing pics the right rear leg almost looks a little wimpy and hanging try to check out pics and see if ya can fig it out..could be old injury or recent like it got wacked on rh side by car.. it kinda looks like the muscle shape at its "r r hock " has a strange taper , does yer gun shoot 3 ft to the left.........
  2. um, yankees game =pic fishing=pic nudie bar= no pic ,whats up with this..?????
  3. lucky guess... Thanks Hank....
  4. 1 deg = 200rpm , the best way is to have HP and total weight ya wanna move ,call a prop shop and they will recomend proper pitch.....with 120hp and a 17 pitch we all gathered at the front too droped to 15 in and with 4 guys it gets on plane ok and reaches max rpm in calm water 26mph, so if yer rpm guage is right and yer 400 rpm under max drop 2deg ....6 to 800 rpm and go with 17 deg .....proper pitch will lessen the load on entire drive system and improve gas millage....................take a standard transmission car and try to start out in third gear see how long you need to get up to speed specally on a slight hill (extra guys in boat)
  5. a blurr geese all ya had to do was answer a couple phone calls.. Thanks again..
  6. shoot it now ,more tender ,you got the destructive tag
  7. hmm copper in water should make a good ground in my mind,,,,,FOR STATIC...lightning will grab a lot of whats around tho it should follow the path of least resistance but a senerio i would not like to try..it was always a treat to watch the new guy reach up and grab a horse collar or rescue basket as the experianced deck hand stood back with the grounding hook giving me that smug look 50 ft below the chopper
  8. Good for you guys...sounds like the waldos showed up,,,,,,,,maybe in a week....
  9. Well i drug the tin can out for the 3rd time this year only to find myself (and my son) surronder by a bunch of strange fishermen.......yup another derby. We tinkered a tad fri.nite with fish all over so these new to me waters was gonna be all skill not just luck.... After Begging everyone I saw fri nite for info it was apperant my skill wasnt working so we headed out in the morning hoping luck was on our side. It wasnt long befor the doubles started and with only Casey and I in the boat my .49cent auto piolet (bungie) was in big demand.... Never counted how many fish we got foir the day but it was over toes and fingers 2 times .. after boxin 2 cohos and tossing many many lakers 10 to 15 lbs i was regreting not killin a mud chicken for some better points.. Then the left rigger streaches out with casey under control of that rod then the right rigger calls me in with our hands full and autopiolet on we give each other that poop eatin grin enjoying our double then some stupid laker starts rippin a dypsy as fast as any laker can .. Well it was out to 500 ft pretty fast with the kicker at idle before i toss a 5 lb king and casey was unhooking the first of a "double on one rod" 2 ...3to 4 lbrs. I grabed the rod and cant slow this tugger down for nuttin.so I hand casey the rod and clear our last rod and put the kicker in netural...still the kid cant get no where so i knew we had a 20 to 25 pluss laker in a foul mood...So i did what ive only had to do with ultralights and put the kicker in reverse...slow.. Even then it was tuff gettin the fish to 75 ft of the boat before it pops off and floats behind the boat belly up... Normally with no rods out i would of spun around but with all the reversing we closed the gap between us and yankee pretty close and with his trojan sniffin my rear with boards and wire out and their was no way to spin or even call him off. so we drove off and left 30 or better points floating...hope the fish made it .. we did grab a 18 lb king and a 8 lb brown for a full box but with the 2s buildin to 3s we came in a tad early ..........at least we had some kind of box but not a jump up and down one.. Over all my son and i enjoyed a good time togeather maybe a couple more rods could of made a difference but the 4 we had down keeped us 2 as busy as we wanted .. Thank you all for the Great derby.... PS: between the tackle, and gift certifacates in the " TEAM BAG" it came up to close to $95.00 retail price so it could be said it was a 5.00 derby..pretty cool.. I remeber the OLD DAYS OF THE PRO/AMS when a goodie bag was the norm not 1st prize...... Maybe ill refocus my derbys next year..................... Thanks again ........Ray and Casey....
  10. I clamp mine if i cant get to the bathroom first thing, looks silly but it saves a fresh depends.
  11. thats it I thought you did pretty good or something,,,,,,guess it was a rumor.
  12. Ive done a lot of learning curve tricks long before I found this site..did you know you can wrap 4 rigger cables (on a bumpy windy day) stand on the outdrive and unweave the mess alone... and save the works..yes I know back in the day i sorta ran a couple extra lines , then one day with a little help from the DEC i was informed the "porcupine" 12 rig spread was not a good thing ,thank goodness i was running light that day well the 4 rigger boat was new to me and it only made sence to run all the rods that came with it,now I keep the extras in the cabin. But to all you peta folks I rarely brought home more than 2 fish..... Ive spun around more than once for a steely only to have them dive as soon as you almost get close enuf for a net jub,,,I think thats a trick they do to get guys to spin back and tangle the rods justa get even for pokin their lips....
  13. darn farmers...............
  14. Happy birfday to one of the best fishermen on lake ontario....................OH Wait thats yer daughter that gets all the big fish forget the first part.....ok you do pretty good ..........................AT DRIVING ...hava great year .. PS: heres to another month of 100 deg days..
  15. friday nite commin in at sandy creek we saw 1000,s of baitfish swimmin on the surface wish i shut down and coasted over pod.. It was like a school of bait on the ocean with feeding fish under them.. but no dead ones floatin around..
  16. sORRY TO HEAR YA JUMPED ON TODDS BOAT, Ive tried to work on his salmon program ,but he insit on chasing browns, gobies, and Sheepheads. he claims to do concrete work but their is always straw and hay stickin outa them yellow boots..First 2 years of trolling he did it in reverse so he could see where he was going from the back of the boat, But his daughter finally got his fishing program straightened out ,have ya noticed the only time he post "salmon" catches its with her in the boat,I guess we know who has the fishing skills in the family.... . . . . . . . Ok maybe he ant that bad...I'd be honerd to have Todd on the boat any time.
