  1. Great report!!! Not on your fishing you always (well almost) pull a fish or two . But the report of your dad on the water its wonderful to see him in action , i hope he knows I (we lou) were pulling so hard for him i had to take a 4 month vacation in the keys to recover (thanks pops)...so keep the pics of pops comming (and that good looking girl in warmer atire).. Hava great day bud that pic just brightened mine...(pops not the girl)
  2. Not that one ,the oll ball and chain wont let me forget the day i runed her life in marrage. But a More Important one to me personally. Its been over TWO years sence my last beer,or "BOOZE". I don't miss any part of it and am proud to say I'm a much better person (my opinion) because of it. I wasnt a hardcore bar stool weight just a weekend warrior who started to calabrate my fishing time by the contents of the cooler.. This to me is as a good of post as any fishing post and might help another fisherman with success. and my spellin is a littlee sharrper because of it. Thank You. Hope This Helps Ray K.
  3. I have bad IBS ,get seasick easy,hate fishing,and am loosing my eyesight ,but id like to give it a try... . . . . Ray 607 769 7947
  4. Every one who i spoke with that have scotty riggers and sub trolls had the same bad luck ALL cannon and fishhawk guys boxed out... Hope this helps. Ray K.
  5. The PROPER established rates to apply should be followed. Roundup is a systemic killer and very strong (good) weed preventer. You can buy (as you know) roundup tollerent seed but at the approved rates ..Last year before season my friend did a late applacation (august) and a beautiful 10 pt who was there every night and some does(trail cam) dissapeard. we think the late spraying killed them. they ate the same night he sprayed and NEVER showed up again. You be the judge with over 90 years of deer watchin and hunting between us its the only conclusion. Hindsite some human sent ((jacket, hair, anything) to keep them away for the 24 hr or a tad longer might of saved some trophies. not to mention (more important) the meat you taint (poisen) is the meat you eat.just another thought.....so good prep work before planting is the best way to enshure o good crop and safe meat.
  6. Navionics fishinchip ,take the map with you !
  7. buncha crazies outa sandy creek oh ye and one "RACHEL" lover..hey the jet ski still sits in the shead maybe ill clean it up and go jump some plainer boards , most fishermen dont mind.
  8. Good for you (your team). Gettin the "big ones" sometimes happens rather it be fish or a nice buck,or whatever yer after . Yes on ocasion a lucky setup will have big rewards in a short time. But more than likly ya gotta put in your time and effort to get the big ones.the o'll right place at the right time don't hurt either.....thats where many hours on the water or tree stand Pays Off !!!!!!!!!!! this winter i beat out about 60 teams in fla with my 14ft boat for just that reason "die hard attitude" and a little skill,ok a tad luck But bottom line when ya fight the elements (you guys did that) (for me it was a little wind and beating sun phew ) . With that being said all the time on the water wont do any good unless ya got "something up yer sleeve" (can i borrow yer shirt) With some warm weather for the next few days should give you guys a chance to thaw out and have a BIG fish fry yum yum 30 lb laker, i know its headin for the wall. guess youll have to chase some small ones (smelt) for the cook out. GREAT JOB!! Ray K.
  9. typical sandy creeker, ill bet his feet are still cold ,back in the day i would put on the wetsuit and start jetski riding in april but i always had my booties on..
  10. Well it sounds kinda makeshift as you know ya need light for only riggin even early risers dont usually beat the summer day light.one way is a cigerette lighter 110 v adapter with a clamp lamp on the frame, Also one of those led worklights (about 20 bucks) (recharegble) work great and ya can toss outa the way when yer done .
  11. HEY I can tell by the angle of your 2nd photo your casting for "peking goose" I dont know whats in the waters behind your daughters (honest i was never there ) So when do ya have free time to fish ? (what days off) Somehow we,ll get you on the water..
  12. Welcome to one of the best (ok the best) fishing site in the United States. Lots of great guys here you have some great streams within 1/2 hour of where your at . Hope you get a chance to get out on lake Ontario while your here , you will have a great time and some great stories to take home with you ......Welcome to The U.S.A. Ray K.
  13. Oh yea forgot to mention "sharp hooks"
  14. once you learn the basic tec. you will be able to figure out what will work on yer 15ftr.... flatline, boards, keels, dypsys, jets, rigger, copper, jig, dive bombs.........ect.ect Bad news !!!!!!!! my guess you will get sick very sick with whats known as "foot dieses" "lureitious" "spinfeaver" "flyinfection" "atomicsyndrome" "speedinfactuation " "moreroditious"" ,and several others we all have but rarely admit to. Then will come the day you'll join "fishtails" and "jason" and start shopping for "Big Winnie's" (I'm still not shure if i'll ever fish with them again)
  15. just a little hookset is all thats needed then baby in the browns, salmon a little more agressive ...........If you resemble a bass fisherman in a tourny with the over head rip(hookset) ya done probly loosened some teeth as well as lips..and it depends whatcha fishing for and with,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, sharp hooks are a must rather their small or large..
  16. hmm float tube!!!!!!!!!!!!!!or water wings
  17. hmm drive through bathroom is a novel idea.........."PARK AND POOP"
  18. more than likley she got bit up in the creek (my guess) ,maybe tried to make a nest near some sharp object,or gotta little close to someones prop ,suppose a big fish coulda bit her ,or several due to she was droppin eggs,,,,,,,,,,,if that happens again in that area just slow down the retrive and get ready
  19. hope he thinks about motorcycle parking its really nice in the middle of yer meal outdoors (front porch) and three or four harlys warm their engins for 5 min 10 ft away
  20. opps didnt know it burnt sorry.....
  21. sometimes the steelie bite will shutdown like a light switch ,,also they will follow a warm pocket of water that holds bait thus the term (dime size pods) if the current was .5 mph sand you were busy at weighin for 1 hr ??? also in the spring when hudge bait balls offer some fast and furious feeding frenzies, almost every fish ya get will be spittin bait and fillin fast so dont circle to big to get back on them (dont tangle either)..............kinda like yer family at a thanksgiving dinner ant no dish on the table is safe for the first 10 min, after 1/2 hr the food is still there but the full bellies have backed away fish ant much smarter than us as they will gourgh when they can and go sit idle waiting for a good poop.
  22. peepin tom at the camper.. trying to pick up local chicks my family sea urchin in full camo ,they cover themselfs with dead shells to hids from preditors,Who teaches them that?
  23. i ant no charter but a pretty good teacher 4 would be a little tight on my 22 ftr but if ya wanna hit seneca with 1 or 2 friends yer welcome to jump on ........BUT after spending the last 4 months in the keys i ant gonna fish till the weather plays a little nicer and if were lucky we'll get 1 or 2 fish
