  3. gosh hope he dont mess up the roof line,,,,,,,,,,,,,,hmm anyone got a match
  4. he he get yer bobber collection out landshark..
  5. hmm kinda pushing it for a sustained 20 mph west ,more like diehard fishing...if their is any south to it ya might get enuf protection out of little salmon launch near shore but if it shifts a tad outa the n/w ya might have a little 3 to 5 ft wave issue....
  6. many do reel it in in the smaller boats .....just look at their right arm it should look like this
  7. looks like a start to 5 loves of bananna nut bread for your (FRIENDS)

  11. I have several new but old (silver fron the 50s and 60s) suttons #66 #68 If ya want some old school copper or good flutter spoons ya wont be dissapointed $2.00 each plus shipping................. 607 769 7947 Ray K.
  12. go to walmart (if they still sell them) on the bottom shelf their is a big bulk box fo 1.99 each. ive got a few and the worked well and they have that nice suttle rattle fish seem to like "certan times of the day" ... they track well but scratch pretty easy after a few fish teeth they are pretty speed sensitive and dont play well with other lures due to this.. ( cant mix up your spread and have all lures running good).....the price is right just keep a eye on them for proper tracking seems like the summer heat in the boat takes its toll after a year. The one i like on seneca is sorta the "superman color" down deeper 35 to 65 ft and the blue works well on the surface in the morning,,the oll standard blk/silver is good throught the water colum....the most important thing with trhese and all lures is the 3 "S"'s speed,speed,speed..................as i said they are very speed sensative in my opnion...good beginer lure or box filler but as anything cheep they wont last ... ive got yozuris 12 yrs old that run as good today as the day i bought them. (just a little scratched from teeth)
  13. i guess i know who wont get any of the 40 plus lobsters i brought back....and mmmmmm they were good this year.
  14. Good for you,the oll woulda coulda shuda, hurts,,specially with so much on the line Gas,entry, and beer fees,,,,,,,,,,, good to hear the new boat suits ya well and not havin to share bunks with yer brother must be good sounds like someone spilled the beans on yer spot drawback of a bigger boat,,,,wanna borrow "the PEGASUS" next derby ??? PS. 3 questions chickweed, crabgrass and moss, what do I doo? PSS thanks for yer report its nice to keep in touch with the derbys and friends even if its with keyboards and monitors......... Ray K.
  15. I love that 20 million dollar fishfinder the plumes are normal for this time of year actually the current looks pretty good too, this week should see better catchin if the wind dont whip up the currents too much..but yer right the mud is a tad thick along with a LOT of near waterlogged trees and logs makes for some tricky driving and scattered bait and fishing...hungry fish will head for the edge of the mudline and pockets of pea green water will show up fast IF THE SUN WOULD SHINE MORE THAN 1 HR A WEEK,find that and 99% of the time you find the fish ,this time of year and conditions I might suggest 1 or 2 ....M&m's PS if you find as little of a 1/2degree surface or down temp along that pea green water um that is a good to great thing, for catchin.........
  16. good for you !!!!!!!!!!!! i feel the pain of trollin in the wind alone,, usually what i do is fight from the wheel as i do a slow turn with the wind to finish the fight ..
  17. ahh the old ""high and tight""( propwash) can be fun to stand there and watch it happen..sometime (not derby fishing) take the hooks off a stix gonna have poopy action but just watching a agressive fish trying to "kill it" is kida fun ,,sometimes when i run alone ill do this to play with the fishies... kinda like a cat and a string..whish i had a few videos some times it gets quite amusing watching this..With the price of gas tho I think the cat and local waters will be getting more of my attention ......
  18. next trip to the basement ill check the stash. hmm, hmm, hmmm ..couple from the top of the heap.....hey it was the AC shiner white and orange tho bomber is very close body stlye.......... suppose i could dig through 20 tackle boxes to see if i have 1 or 2 used ones... P.S. hint (match the color portions of th ac shiner) just go to walmart get some of those 1.99 stix in the bulk bin stop at home depot on the way home get a can of gloss white, and gloss orange...cover the hooks and spray away.....you know just to see if some of these OLD colors still work.............P.S.S. dont forget the old pink flamingo color pattern (origional t-stick jr) also a easy made lure ant always hot but the days it works might get yer attention...another (non light line lure )
  19. WEll it is good news and yes Thank You to all those involved. Truth be known someone on a kidny machine doesnt usually last much more than 10 years due to the platlet damage caused by this procedure. with only 4 killed in a entire compound kinda makes one wonder (me) who gets the reward.. my guess the otopsy probly will revele a near death body who had 2 choices die naturally or get a shot at 71 virgins , (who knew the woman killed was lesb.) This is great for our great president and the news media as the royal wedding was just starting to be old news tho if you surfed around you can find reruns late at night. Why great news for Mr."P" he almost had to get back to minor issues like 4.00 a gallon gas, rotten economy, soaring taxes,ect.,ect. Now that OSB is dead mr pee opps p can take a much needed vacation, maybe sneak in a couple opra shows and some late night shows and another 67 rounds of golf, and take the wiffy up to NYC for a few opera shows...And the recent serious Issue of his birth papers will be put on the back burner for a few weeks,,Hey I wonder if his dog has all the leagle papers and clearences to be in the White House..............DONALD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. this year 99% is from the rain. lots of "raw" (unplanted and plowed )fields, Tons of silt has runoff with the unuasual and severe storms we have had in Ny ,pa,ohio, (lake erie).. The wind has played its part with the currents ,and rapid temp shift (inversions) of the water on top of the storms, its not unuasual this time of year to have large "lifeless streaches of fish ,due to bait and temps.. usually offshore will hold some stable water, but the term "dime size pods" sorta decribe the hit and miss posability of long runs... As you can seefrom the recent reports of the derby (canada one) the extreme west and north waters hold the fish up for a few extra weeks in this transition... This is the time of year when the old saying 10% of the water holds 90% of the fish is reflected.
  21. im shure you know of the posable problems of salt water used moters ,dontwant to rain on yer parade after 4 years in the keys ive seen some good motors go downhill fast if not properly cleaned, and ive seen some old one like new with proper care...
  22. the bombers are a goodchoice,,,,,some thing to keep in mind (hint hint important) is the rattle sound notice the "rattle"of the lures that work and try to match that tone with other stix....just like color varations ,sound plays a important part to a lure of choice under varying conditions................ifyou find the white or orange and white,ya might wanna use a tad heavier line than 8 lb test..... ,,that is if you want to take the lure home at the end of the trip..
  23. here is the smaller one i tucked in last night ,probly shoulda set up on him but the raspy gobble300yds away had my hopes up for a big bird, these does sorta showed up the 2 piC on the left shoulder you can see a tuff of fur someone nicked her last gun season didnt get a good shot of it but it was clear from 10 yds she healed up nice then they got close till they smelled my farts and ran faster than my teamates the 2nd day of a derby when venting
  24. I tried callin ya from watkins wanted a couple fish to eat, dont know how to get those fish myself
