  1. Be sure you deploy the bag on the side of the boat that your prop is spinning other wise it will pull your boat sideways. In otherwords a standard rotation prop is spinning to the right. Bag in on the right. You may not need a bag if you can go slow enough and also adjust your carb properly. My motors idle comfortable at 550 rpms and with edelbrock carbs they sip fuel. No kicker needed. I can also with one bag in get my 9000lb boat to go 1.0. It will take some effort but you can get it to do what you want.
  2. Will it not slow down enough? What is the slowest speed it will go with the gear deployed?
  3. Yes as long as you do not violate the NYS hook point total.
  4. I have them side by side. There is roughly a .4 difference. The depth raider performs better at slower speeds. My brown trout program is built around it. I really like the fish hawk when it comes to salmon fishing. But to answer your question there is a .4 to .6 difference.
  5. Please feel free to join us as we host Capt. Chris Yard from Irish Knots Sportfishing as he will chat about Spring Brown Trout Fishing in Mexico Bay. Chris is also the Guide Consierge for the Tail Water Lodge and he will be telling us about the new lodge on the Salmon River. The meeting is open to the public and is held at Gander Mountain in Cicero, NY. It will start at 7pm See you all there. Brian
  6. 2 are sold. 1 more available for 30.00
  7. Nick is correct DSC is not available in the Great Lakes as of yet.
  8. I am not sure the red slide that holds them upright would stand up to the pulling of a planer board. They are not really designed to be used that way.
  9. All mono twists you just dont see it like FF. By the way word is Cortland has stopped production on FF. So what is out there is all that will be left. 30lb Sea Flea for me.
  10. Here are 3 Cisco 2in riser track mounts for sale. $100.00 for all 3 or B.O. They will fit any brand of rigger base. Send a PM if interested. I will be in Olcott for 10 days starting friday or I work in Syracuse if you want to pick up. Buyer pays if you want it shipped.
  11. This descision did not come easily. The committee has been discussing this for some time now. Every angle was looked at and personal feelings had to be put aside. In the spirit of the rule this is the correct course of action. Nobody wants to be DQed or worse stopped and have an issue. See everyone very soon!
  12. I wasnt going to advocate it but if it isnt written all over your truck and boat I guess you look like a Rec fisherman.
  13. This is spot on. One of my teammates was a Syracuse PD DOT officer and I confirmed with him on this.
  14. I am all set! Thank you for all the responses.
  15. I need an Observer for the WHI please send a PM or give me a call for details. I will pay 100.00 for the day. 607 423 4415 Thanks Brian
  16. Actually you have that backwards. LOC is based in Rochester and a few influential west end individuals wanted Kings to shine in the spot light. They had influence to the LOC and changes were made.. Nothing at all to do with East end people.
  17. This Saturday 4/12 there will be a work day to ready the Pens for the Little Salmon river. It will happen at Salmon Country Marina at 1pm. Should only take an hour or two. Please get out and help with this project. If you can make it please call Roy Hunsburger at 315 963-1078. Plan on bringing your side cutters with you. If you have any more questions you can PM me or leave a comment here. Thanks Brian
  18. If Miss em doesnt get them I will take them off your hands. They dont work at all. I just want them around to take up space! On another note there are next to zero captains on Lake Ontario who are paid to endorse a product. That was a very childish and immature comment. Sure do we get discounts on equipment yes but paid to endorse...NO! Cant we all just get along be thankful that techniques and baits actually get shared with the general public!
  19. You can do it! Sounds like you need a new piston. There should be a make and model on it somewhere. Then Google it!
  20. Nice Job!! And sweet job on the KING!!!
  21. Still Available!
