  1. I did have this on my Baha. It is a twin screw. It would work on a single screw real well. I also put rudder extensions on as well. Even without an autopilot I would recommend larger rudders on a Baha. It is a must.
  2. I have a Raymarine Sportpilot 5X-R for sale. I have only had it on my boat for 2 years. Works great. This is a perfect autopilot for a single screw I/O or an outboard boat with cable steering. However I did have it installed on a twin screw inboard. I have everything you need to hook up and go. The only reason I am selling is I am installing hydraulic steering and a new autopilot on my boat. Comes with the control head and all the seatalk cables as well as the drive motor that mounts on the wheel. I have to get one last piece off the boat next weekend so it will be available then. I can meet you in Sodus Pt or anywhere around Syracuse or 81 south to Cortland. I really dont want to ship it. 1100.00 firm Send a PM if interested Thanks Brian
  3. Thank you to everyone who came out on Saturday! And a Big Thank you to all our vendors as well. It was nice to put some names to faces. We are already in the planning stages to make this a bigger and better event next year so stay tuned! Come on Spring anyday now!
  4. There will be food served all day by the club as well!
  5. I was laughing and wanted to answer in a smarta$$ way but I figured you just had not had your coffee yet! See you Saturday! Please Introduce yourself I should be at the front table when you come in.
  6. I spoke with the boys at Fat Nancys the other day. They will have Fingerlakes tackle spoons and they will be on SALE!!
  7. As long as they are fused seperately. Scotty does recommend at least 8 gauge on the 1116's and 6 gauge on the 2116's. Dont scrimp on the marine wire. This will dictate the performance of your riggers. Maximize the juice.
  8. Modified Scottys. I put a piece of hard tubing in the back of the scotty. 1in hot water line works the best. When I was in British Columbia that was the only way the locals would have a release setup. Those guys fish down to 275 ft on there riggers. I will see if i can take a picture of what my setup looks like. Real good gripping power and zero line damage, no twisting just a clean setup.
  9. After getting addicted to big water duck hunting the last 3 years with my 3 year old lab milo we decided to add a second pup to our house. We are very excited to have Tall Tails Ruger's Storm Warning aka Ruger to our family. It will be a task keeping both retrievers happy this fall but we are really looking forward to it.
  10. Those would look sexy on your Baha Matt! Somebody will get a great deal here.
  11. I believe Fat Nancys will have a full selection of Fuller spoons.
  12. Check out the Raymarine dragon fly. You get a lot of features for a great price.
  13. The address is: South Shore Association 6690 S Bay Rd, Cicero, NY 13039 Hours 9am to 1pm!
  14. This is shaping up to be a good one! Fat Nancys, All Seasons Sports, R and R just to name a few vendors who will be there with some great deals!
  15. If I have a hot paddle I dont change a thing. Guys who fish with me have been berated for removing swivels from attractors...HHHMMMM I may need to seek professional help.... I always tie a loop, but I always tie my own leaders.
  16. Is it the Brown camp or Green Camp? If it is the Brown camp I may have left some shotgun shells behind...LOL Gotta love the high water mark!
  17. Just an attempt by Hitler Cuomo to get in our good graces.....He can stuff it...
  18. I believe it has to do with the jigging action the boat is applying to the rod. I find a chute copper deadly in following sea troll. However there are days they want them off of the boards as well. Run it both ways and let them tell you what they want.
  19. My 60lb setup is a 400ft Penn 345 on a 7ft custom fish doctor copper rod. I will probably change it over to an Okuma Solterra this year. Those are the best long copper reels on the market. The power is unbelievable.
  20. The problem with adding weight to copper to get it deeper is it will impart a different action on the copper line. I am not saying its wrong it just becomes a different presentation. The same as 60pd copper versus 45pd copper in my book they are different presentations. I personally am a fan of KISS (not the rock band but I will Jam to them on occasion). The drag of that weight will create more slack while fighting a fish and it is already hard enough to keep the slack up on a copper rig. 250 and 350 is good place to start. I also advocate having 50lb backer. That is my personal choice. Again to each his own we all have our own tricks of the trade that we feel comfortable with.
  21. It works fantastic. Shines in shoot rod application at least for me. Reeling in less is a big advantage. In the interest of full disclosure I am on the Pro Staff. Brian
  22. We do need to stand together I will agree to that. But mark my words... The rednecks will do deer drives with these crossbows during the Non Gun season...
  23. I use a few 320's for 100ft coppers. Works good. I also have a few with 2 or 3 colors of core.
  24. Congrads on your retirement Pete! You have earned it! Now you have to put more hours on that Sea Ray!!
