  1. Took the little boat over to owasco this am for a few hours. Got 6 BTs. Shoreline surface troll with little warrior spoons took all our fish. Put a full core out in some deeper water on one pass and locked up on a big fish but he shook himself lose. All fish on the westside between the log house and ensenore. [ Post made via Android ]
  2. There you go Greg!!!!
  3. Yes those will work just fine. [ Post made via Android ]
  4. I am sure it will cost money, but this looks like a Great thing!
  5. Any Clips on this Salmon? Curious if it is Natural or Stocked?
  6. Pm sent. [ Post made via Android ]
  7. Most all Marinas on the lake sell it now. We should be in good shape on that going forward.
  8. Yup, our friend Finders Keepers is putting it on. He will even show you how it's done in his tournament boat!
  9. Ace, I took this out of the paragragh on the payout. No matter how many teams are in it will be "30% day 1, 30% day 2 and 40% overall". The pro am will be 100% payback plus sponsor cash. As far as 70 teams goes in a typical niagara tourney there was on average 85-95 teams "AM" and "PRO" every year. I would have to believe the total could get very close if not surpass that 70 team number in Niagara. See you there! Brian
  10. I want to thank everyone for coming out Saturday! The turnout was better then expected. Thank you to all of our vendors for coming out and helping us get our tackle sale back up and running after a 10 year hiatus. I already cant wait for next years event. Brian
  11. Just heard from our show chairman we sold the last table! I cant get over how much stuff will be for sale tomorrow! If you are looking for some piece of tackle that may be a classic (maybe even older then BIG DAVE) this is where you will find it! See you all tomorrow! Mexico VFW rte 3 north out of Mexico about 3 miles on the left. 9am Sharp!! Brian
  12. He is looking for the ones Pre-China.. Damn chinese manufacturing...
  13. Blow days will be handled the same as in the past. If we get one day of fishing in that will count as the tourney. So if you win day one in either category you are the winner all the way thru and you would win the money for that postion for the whole tourney. All the guaranteed money will paid out if we fish one day. Now the rule has always been if we didnt fish at all the money will be held in escrow for the following year that is not changing either.
  14. Tall Tails is in all 4! Pete you didn't answer the question! Are you gonna stretch the legs on that new Ray and make her an honest battleship or you keeping her tied to the dock? [ Post made via Android ]
  15. And an 18ft boat! That's Awesome!!!! [ Post made via Android ]
  16. After the response to the meeting at the LOTSA show there are plans for a few more. Even if you are on the fence about participating I would encourage you to come out and listen to the format in person. The first one that I know of will be at the Mexico VFW Rte 3 Mexico NY on March 10th at 3pm. This will be at the end of the ELOSTA Nautical and Tackle swap event. At this time there are others in the works but the tourney directors are in the planning stages on those. Thanks, Brian
  17. This is getting closer! We have several retired captains bring there tackle to sell! If you are looking for something you cant find anymore this is the place to look! We also will be keeping the doors open at 3pm for anyone who would like to come and listen to the new Pro Am format. This will run from 3pm to 430pm. If you would like to come listen to the new format or have your questions answered this will be the place.
  18. I like this new format because of the oppourtunity. 60 checks being written in 2 days no other tourny on the lake does that. Let me see if I can answer some of the above questions. No Comm, well I believe the solution was taken care of in Oswego last year and I would look for something like that coming down the pike. With this format I think it takes all the comm out of play and the "AMs" that talked with "PROs" well that wont happen anymore either making for a more balanced tourny. I guess under this format if you talk to anyone you are only taking money out of your pocket. Or gas out of the tank as it may be this year. As far as rod numbers some of my best sets are 5 rods so to me rod numbers dont matter. Most of the time on Charters I didnt put out 8 when it was 2 rods per person. Conditions, program and bite pace all dictate rod numbers so I really dont think it matters a whole lot. Some of the best fisherman I know fish in boats smaller then 25 feet and they repeatedly take good numbers and size of fish. First 5 tagged or zip tied could be a something that is hard to enforce. Every boat I have been on has zip ties on it. And who hasnt had an observer fall a sleep or go below to use the bathroom. Just throwing that out there when you think about rule enforcement from a tournament perspective. The question on observer counting as part of the fish limit was addressed yesterday in the info meeting. 3 team members and observer with a valid NYS fishing license counts to the 12 fish limit. As Chris stated have we need to have FUN in these events!!! Brian
  19. Under this format you would stand to win some very good money Glen. The format suits your fishing style very well. [ Post made via Android ]
  20. Happy B day bud! I hope you got that new fishfinder!!
  21. I don't think we ever see a surplus because they want to meet a biomass number for a year class. That is a good question to ask. [ Post made via Android ]
  22. The worst number from last night was the coho. Kings should be okay and the browns they may be able to make up the difference from other hatcheries. On the coho issue they asked Canada and Michigan for extra and in both cases they had the same issue at the eye up stage as NY. We all knew about the lake trout issue with the White River Hatchery being wiped out by the hurricane, so it shouldn't be a suprise. [ Post made via Android ]
  23. Thanks Rob for posting this. I was informed yesterday that the presentations will be shorter this year to allow more time for Question and Answer period. One off the reasons they released this early. We all should be prepared with our questions prior to arrival. See everyone tomorrow night at the First Meeting in Mexico at the Boces at 7pm. Lets have a Great turnout! Brian
  24. For those of you with Garmin MARPA tracking! Here is a Thermal camera with 28x zoom capability. There would be no secret baits! So you could radar track a boat all day long and snap pictures of him at will! I am adding radar at some point this year and also the MARPA tracking. At 9k the camera will have to wait... I would have liked this in the dark coming out of the little salmon river a few mornings. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KkpPGMDQ ... e=youtu.be
  25. So Brian... That means when I fell out of your boat and landed on the dock like I got shot by a sniper, then ran the charter with broken ribs and hurt feelings, I can still sue you to get my X-large coffee replaced?? Pete, I think the statute of limitations has run out on that coffee! [ Post made via Android ]
