  1. The worst number from last night was the coho. Kings should be okay and the browns they may be able to make up the difference from other hatcheries. On the coho issue they asked Canada and Michigan for extra and in both cases they had the same issue at the eye up stage as NY. We all knew about the lake trout issue with the White River Hatchery being wiped out by the hurricane, so it shouldn't be a suprise. [ Post made via Android ]
  2. Thanks Rob for posting this. I was informed yesterday that the presentations will be shorter this year to allow more time for Question and Answer period. One off the reasons they released this early. We all should be prepared with our questions prior to arrival. See everyone tomorrow night at the First Meeting in Mexico at the Boces at 7pm. Lets have a Great turnout! Brian
  3. For those of you with Garmin MARPA tracking! Here is a Thermal camera with 28x zoom capability. There would be no secret baits! So you could radar track a boat all day long and snap pictures of him at will! I am adding radar at some point this year and also the MARPA tracking. At 9k the camera will have to wait... I would have liked this in the dark coming out of the little salmon river a few mornings. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KkpPGMDQ ... e=youtu.be
  4. So Brian... That means when I fell out of your boat and landed on the dock like I got shot by a sniper, then ran the charter with broken ribs and hurt feelings, I can still sue you to get my X-large coffee replaced?? Pete, I think the statute of limitations has run out on that coffee! [ Post made via Android ]
  5. Well if you have liability coverage on your boat your fine. No different than an observer coming on your boat for a tourney. Those tourneys require you to carry it for participation. I have been at some marinas prior to being a charter capt that told me I am responsable for the people as soon as they stepped out of the car.. now that I am a charter operater my coverage starts when they get out of the car at the marina. You have to talk with your insurance agent about it. I have a good lawyer friend who has told me waivers aren't worth the paper they are written on. [ Post made via Android ]
  6. I have almost the exact same setup. If somebody wants a LOADED top end bow this is a GOOD Deal! If it was Tactical Black I would buy it in a heart beat. Brian

  9. I agree with the above comments I run what is working that day. My go to spoons are Silver Streaks, Warriors and Fuzzy Bears(DW)
  10. Spring caught Coho about 3 lbs in size..
  11. I have a surveyers wheel with a foot counter on it to measure out what I want. I always measure with this device to keep my setups consitent. I do it this way with a new reel, then count passes and write it down. Assuming you have the same reel with the same amount of backing in the future you can just count the the passes as you reel.
  12. Looking for feedback on this autopilot. Also the size of the boat you are running it on. Thanks Brian
  13. I think they maybe for Cheaters. Running Rebel is probably looking all over for them
  14. Your spread pretty thin with that payout structure.. One division would be much easier
  15. I have used umbrella rigs for a few years. Can be a stud on copper. However cumbersome to net! The only place I have hooks is on the the trailing spoon behind the rig.
  16. I am looking for a dual reel and mast setup for a winter troller. If you got one you want to sell pm me. Thanks Brian [ Post made via Android ]
  17. If all your looking for is a fish finder you are not going to beat a 585. Just take a walk down charter boat rows and see whats on the dash. I see more 585's then anything else.
  18. No I think what he is saying is come the first weekend of june(Niagara pro am)...Good Luck!!!
  19. www.boemarine.com, Jim is very good and can help you pick the right transducer. [ Post made via Android ]
  20. We have some tables left for you to sell that stuff that takes up to much room in the house or boat!!! Contact me and I will set you up! Cant wait to see everyone there!
  21. If you have xxxx charters down the side of your boat and are over 10k you are a commercial business so you would have to have DOT #'s.
  22. I am sure we could debate this all day long and everyone has there way. In my view a muzzle loader just does not have the Kinetic energy that a 243 has. The idea with young hunters is to have them successfull right out of the gate. I think a scoped 243 or even a 257 Roberts can do the trick. Time on the range is most important but with the knockdown power a centerfire cartridge carrys will make the kill quick and clean. There is more room for marginal shots with a muzzle loader then a centerfire rifle. I know several kids who were very succesfull this last fall shooting 243's. I knew plenty of "old timers" that shot 223's but the kill shot was the head, not the shot you want to teach a youngster. Just my 2 cents! Either way getting the youngsters involved is the way to go!!!
  23. Wow Looks like a fantastic trip!!!! Excellent!!!
  24. I have docked at both places. Depends if you want a slip right on the river or both Marinas have little coves for smaller boats. Also on the size of the boat. From what I remember River slips are around 1k give or take a bit.
