  1. I would look for a couple 45 Okuma's. You can use penn 330's as well. You can fit 100' on a Penn 320.
  2. Walker makes a data cable that has a inner core to carry signals for the camera. This also works for all units requiring coated cable... Call Chris at St. Peters he is a site sponsor and ask him about it. We will be running this on our Depth raider this coming year.
  3. I would expect nothing less of you Glenn! Nice Fish!!
  4. I had great luck with a shoot thru hull transducer on a X19 LCX on a 25 amberjack I owned. It was mounted between the twin I/O's and the spot where it was mounted was ground down. It was a great picture, I would say almost as good as my thru hull I have in my current boat. One thing to consider is do you want or need surface speed and temp? You will need an external transom mount sensor to add those features with a shoot thru. I would do some research and look into an airmar transducer as they are the best and almost all manufacturers have airmar build there transducers. If I had to choose however drill the hole and mount the transducer. Done correctly and there are no after affects. Call Jim at BOE Marine in Maryland he is the expert in transducers and electronics. 866 735 5928 www.boemarine.com Good Luck
  5. One Garmin gsd 22- Description below The GSD 22 is a powerful remote sounder that plugs directly into the Garmin Marine Network for use with our network chartplotters or into the new Garmin CANet for use with the 292/392/492 series chartplotters. Ultrascroll technology keeps the display scrolling at live-action speeds, while the units digital design and up to 2 kW of transmit power provide extraordinary target definition and deep water performance. Transmit power and receiver gain automatically adjust to produce excellent shallow water performance as well. The GSD 22 is dual frequency and works with everything from a standard 500 W transom mount transducer to heavy-duty 2 kW thru-hull or in-hull transducers. Reaches depths to 5,000 feet. Used 1 year includes the power cord $350.00 or B.O. Call Kevin at 315 729 7602

  7. I Voted for O-Town! My new home starting this year for mid june thru september! We are very much looking forward to it. First Class Marina's, Top flight mechanics and access to everything you need is the reason we moved from the little salmon. Short runs to deep water is attractive. Granted we get the weather, but there is always fish to catch. Dont get me wrong I love the West end of Lake O!! But my heart will always be an East Ender!

  13. I talked with someone involved with the project back in january and they told me the 4 shows were going to happen in order this march and april.
  14. From what I heard all 4 are going to be on in the next consecutive weeks.
  15. You can use your king attractors and flies just pull the throttle back and maybe lengthen your fly leaders. Also on the East end specific areas will hold lake trout.
  16. Are you talking about fly leaders or BT leader? Be more than happy to help but need a bit more detail.
  17. It may be a bit early for Olcott. It is 16 miles from Olcott to the Bar. However the Lake Trout should be stacked between 4 mile and the bar with some kings possible mixed in. 40-60ft of water is a good starting point. You may want to consider lauching at Fort Niagara on the Niagara river and saving the boat ride. Also a canadian lic this time of year may not be a bad thing, if its kings you are after. There are plenty of fish to be had between Olcott and the Bar however if you are not partial to just Kings. The BT fishing can be stellar out of Olcott during this time frame. There is nothing that will tell you that you are in Canada other than a good GPS mapping system. Good Luck to you! Brian

  19. fshnwmn- I will answer this for Jim since I know who owned the boat in 08 intimently! The tranny was never rebuilt. It was winterized improperly and the tranny cooler cracked. It was fixed by Brewerton boat works. However if you need tranny work I would recommend L & M on this site. He fixes all the big boys trannys! Brian
