  1. Is it that it just responds to slow? there are settings for reactionary speed. Also at least on mine (not a 44) the speed input is critical so it knows how fast to respond.
  2. Did you just install it or was it working and now its failing? I have had several brands of Autopilots over the years and SIMRAD is far and away the best.
  3. Launch is open, Have at it.
  4. If you want to spice up your Coho program try a Big Jon rattle board 15ft in front of the thin fish. These boards have sand in them and make noise going thru the water. Coho can not resist them. Also Steelhead will pound these if they are in there surface mood. My Coho program has two of these out on each side of the boat on straight mono and 2 more rods with short cores on small boards usually with the small dodgers and coho flies.
  5. 15 inches behind the little red dodgers is the standard. I run the same leader length behind the 6in spinnies as well. 30lb test Fluro carbon will give you the stiffness you need.
  6. That would add a whole new level to our license... you would need food prep as well. that is a thing if you look at the applications and renewals. also for me that would grease up the cabin where the tackle is stored... NOPE!!
  7. We have had more meetings then you can imagine....
  8. Call the Town of Newfane Marina (Olcott) and find out if they have slips available.
  9. Probably should look into commercial shipping. That is the only way goods are crossing.

This boat is as clean as they can be. The Owner was meticulous. This boat is Mint!
  11. Can you provide a source for the 250k harvest for the cormorants? They are under federal control. The states literally have no say other then to apply for a limited harvest permit which ends up in 1200 range... I am not doubting you but would like to see where the feds authorized a 250k harvest on the cormorants. Our DEC hands are completely tied when it comes to those birds. They beg us in meetings to reach out to our officials and apply pressure.
  12. They stocked Rome fish in more central and western basin area's. However the eastern basin has been getting Rome Browns for many many years. That is not the issue. We have a HUGE class of 2yr old alewives. Perfect size for the BT to enjoy and very unstable weather in April. I think it is a combination of the two. Lets not sound alarm bells till we aren't catching them in June and July.
  13. The money is berried in the word "Sustainability"... You tell everyone you bring on the lake what they want to do.. Customers, friends, and family. After they have had fun trolling in 150 fow tell them this would be off limits once the windmills were installed. That was the past plan for Mexico Bay.. It would essentially stop the fishery in the bay.... No access within a 1000ft of any windmills...
  14. The Trout One out of Mexico Bay is for sale. Capt. Bryan Kopala 30' Penn Yan His contact info is on his website. Home (troutonecharters.com)
  15. B&W Customs in Sodus Pt can take care of that for you. Bill and Billy jr are the best around at Glass repair.
  16. What a waste of effort...
  17. I would look at the fun ones. A-TOM-MIK Challenge, Fair Haven Challenge and the Little Salmon River Challenge. They are low buy in, low pressure fun events. Good Way to see how you stack up with some of the best yet not have a lot on the line. You can fish them all from Oswego/Little Salmon river area's.
  18. Angling Addict summed it up perfect. We also have been running both for years. We do the exact same thing. I wouldnt think of BT fishing in June, July, August without my DR.
  19. My suggestion is you call Dealers in obscure places that may have a distributor who has them in stock. Get creative in the places you look up and call. Venture out away from large bodies of fresh water.
  20. Call around a few distributors still have a few on the shelf. I was able to get one last week delivered in 2 days. And yes get the rebate that will save you some coin.
  21. What information can you provide about the impact of the reintroduction of the "native" species of Cisco/whitefish by the federal government that it has had on the food web/pyramid for the Alewife? They compete for the same source's correct? is there a correlation in your data that shows a drop in Alewife biomass with an increase in your Cisco/whitefish biomass over the last 8 to 10 years? Also is there another similar correlation with the smelt that you have found?
  22. I wouldnt worry... There is going to be plenty of openings... With the disaster that is about to unfold at that marina after they rebuild the international on the west side of the pier and jam that side up... It will be one of the most unsafe marina's to launch and operate out of in the Great Lakes...
  23. Sorry no the show will not happen this year. COVID restrictions remain in place in NYS that do not allow us to have this event. We are planning on 2022. Thank you Brian
  24. Its important to remind folks yes the projects were ended but the fish were reallocated. They did not cut the fish from being stocked. Thank you for that reminder. I did also leave out that direct stockings were eliminated in a few places as well. Those fish were put into the net pen # and re allocated to other direct stock locations.
  25. Fair Haven and Sandy Creek but those fish got allocated to Oswego and the Oak accordingly. All based on fishing pressure and the survey. No less fish being stocked due to less pens. Yes an overall reduction in stocking but as a percentage the net pens are receiving actually more and less direct stocking in ports are taking place. Offering for higher survival.
