Moss is fairly bothersome in the BT water off Oswego. Mostly in the river current however. Some cottonwood as well as other posters have mentioned.

No fleas yet. No way the marina opens. It looks like a bomb went off over there. Painfully obvious the city is running the project and not an experienced construction outfit. If you saw the fill they are bringing in to raise the parking lots it would make your head spin.... I also wonder what engineer signed off on the current sheet pile wall handling the extra wall load the increase in the parking lot is going to give it... I will leave that to everyone's imagination...

Opinions wanted on a baha cruiser 28 weekender
Tall Tails replied to Hachimo's topic in This Old Boat
I have owned a couple 28 Sport Fisherman over the years. I agree with Chris on a few things above. Disagree on a few others. Yes following sea sucks. Most boats don't do well though in big following seas. The Baha is a little nose heavy. This is what hurts it in the following sea. I believe the 28 is great in the ditch. Not many boats in that size class perform well in the ditch the 28 does. the 29 Penny is another good ditch boat in the same class. I had 305 Volvo's never wished for anything bigger. Tweaked props added cupping to allow planning at lower rpm. The boat had plenty of power with that engine package. I also had a 28 with the 351 Windsor Fords that was just as good. But in comparison the 305's ran the boat just as well. Volvo trannies are EXPENSIVE to replace (rebuilding is not an option) in kind you would most likely replace with Hurths. They are the Cadillac of marine transmissions anyway. Yes on the Sea trial and Survey. Most out there by now have had it done at this point. -

Definitely not the torpedo. The regular black coated with a clincher will work just fine.

This is a question for your attorney. This is a matter of Liability. If a group is on your vessel and someone gets sick the Health department investigation will track back thru your boat as they have each individual retrace there steps for 14 days. You and your insurance company could become liable. That is the short answer and again definitely ask your attorney. I spent most of last weekend on the phone with our corporate attorney clearing our work site under the governors rules. People should not be within 6ft of anyone outside of the people that they share the same house with. Tough situation for everyone all the way around. I hope it comes to end soon.

Power stocking is happening all over the state due to the virus. The scenario is if one hatchery worker gets sick the entire hatchery staff has to quarantine for 14 days... That would not be a good outcome for the hatchery. I think the DEC is doing the best they can right now with the circumstances they are under as we all are trying to either keep guys working or our supply chains running for our own income sources. Every day is a new challenge that we have never thought of. Stay healthy everyone.

Unfortunately our Tackle Swap for Sunday has been cancelled. The Board of Directors at the Fire Department has closed there facility thru mid April. It is very disappointing for us to have to cancel but feel it is ultimately in the best interest of everyone. We will be reaching out to all of our vendors to discuss your refund. Thank you to Rob and Chris who were going to be our guest speakers. And a big thank you for your interest in our swap, we will return in 2021! Thank you, Brian -

It goes without saying if your sick or have been around someone who has please think about your attendance. We are watching and following the guidance of the Onondaga County Health Dept. as far as group gatherings are concerned. As of right now there is no changes and our event is on schedule. Please stay tuned to this website and our Facebook page for updates right up to the event. Thank you all for your understanding.

Ok folks the seminars are set. Doors open at 9am sharp for the tackle sale. At 1030 we will have Capt. Chris Yard from Irish Knots Sportfishing talking about walleye fishing from trolling to casting/jigging. Capt. Chris is a regular on Lake Ontario but has expanded his business to Oneida lake and chases Walleyes now as well. Chris knows what it takes to provide his customers with a good day on the water. This should be full of great information. Rounding out our Seminars at 1130 we will have Capt. Robert Mallory from Angling Addict Sportfishing with an information packed seminar on Brown Trout. Rob has mastered the craft of catching stubborn brown trout all summer long. Rob is a very detailed oriented angler and takes it to the next level. Rob and his Team(Family) won the Early Season Brown Trout tournament last May. This is one you wont want to miss! We have had a couple of cancellations on tables so we have a couple available. Please give Bill Pingle a call at 315 515 8278 to et your table reserved. We will see you all there!

I work for RAMBOLL (Formerly O'Brien and Gere) here in Syracuse I believe we have some openings he can look into. One is in the Air Testing Group field work with overtime. We are growing very fast as well since the buy out. -
It infuriates me that yet again our DEC officers will be tasked with enforcement of the plastic bag ban.... I think these officers have enough on there on there plate now they have to deal with this ridiculous oversight.... Yet another reason NY is un attractive....

Wilson Harbor Invitational Update
Tall Tails replied to dreamsteelie's topic in Tournament Talk, Shows, Events & Seminars
Last year was the first WHI we missed since its inception. We chose to pass on it for various reasons. None of which were the format or the weigh in for that matter. The core group of tourney anglers understands why participation has declined over the years. Lake Trout? really? If you plan on participating in this one, you better get 2 big ones. Kings wont do it for you ever..... Sounds like a tweak to benefit a few. No Observers?? After what has taken place the last few years around the lake without a doubt this is a step backwards unless and maybe I missed it, a mandatory lie detector test of not only the captain but the team.is a must. Observers not only protect the integrity of the team they represent, they protect the assigned boat as well. It was predictable that the observer would go away and then the border would open back up. The border discussion has always been there. Again tweaked for a few. These new changes will keep us out indefinitely. I usually keep my mouth shut for the most part on social media platforms when it comes to these tourneys but this one is very disappointing. Granted we have not had a lot of success in the WHI but it was always a yearly favorite. Its first 3 years it was the best the south shore had to offer, now who knows. Regardless of tough fishing or a smash fest, that's what makes for a great tourney. I would take a real hard look at what made this tourney successful in its early years and return too it. -
Still working on that. As soon as it is finalized I will post here.
