committed and spent the morning working outer Meyers - should have stayed in bed - one dink and one perch
did find a 7 degree down-temp break for first time this year, and lots of bait
moral of the story "head west young man, head west...."
3 fish today ... just shy of being weighers...
N to NW of Seneca 51 fow and 40 ft down
blk/pink harnesses, 1.7mph down speed
riggers (40' off ball) and medium blk dispys down 40ft off big boards
saw fish feeding off bugs on surface, but couldn't get them to go.
out again tomorrow...
Saturday...
2 trophy smallies and 1 6-7lb yellow...tough day, covered lots of water from the Fence in 55-fow to Meyers in 36-fow and Seneca in 41-fow, marked very few fish, widely scattered.
my best picture (not a great picture btw) of the day was out deep off the Fence
picked the yellow up in 41-fow just west of the red can. north troll, black/pink hatchet, 20 ft off down rigger ball, 2.1-mph down speed. another hit and miss in the same area, and we called it a day.
worked hard for very little. back at it after the front passes.
Jack
Mark, nice going! Looks like you sampled it all! Were the yellows males? How deep were you?
Im hoping to get out mid week, weather permitting...let me know if you can play hookie
Saturday, May 26th:
two of us went out around 4pm and fished until 11pm.
first, made a pass by windmills 30-35 fow, two huge sheepshead...ugh, ugh!
swung out toward Seneca on the way there a nice 5lb bass...ugh!
swung around shoal to find deeper water, 42fow and headed toward buffalo, 1.8mph.
nw of red buoy started to mark a lot of fish on bottom, some starting to rise. rigger pulling NK glo frog took one around 26in.
at around 8:30pm screen LIT UP, fish everywhere 10ft deep to bottom, took another around 28" on a in-line, single splitshot, ratlin' rougue black/silver.
worked the area for a couple of more passes, no bites, and called it a night. no bites on harnesses

Couple of assembly questions...
1) which side does the second (lighter) keel go... away from tow-line? or closest to it?
2) which way should the "L" of the weight point... away from the tow-line? or toward the tow-line?
Thanks,
Jack
