    Congrats also Mike & Tom, any size they're all beauties. Cayuga's a real treasure - we've been jigging up some nice fish lately, two of my kids each caught some that would have easily knocked me off the board, except they reeled them up Friday and Sunday! Jig bite bordered steady to nuts all a.m., mostly 4 - 6lb fish on avg. A couple of my (jigging) neighbors reported the same. Really enjoyed the fact that it was a one-day event. Many thanks to Bear once again and all involved for their time and effort. Barney was a good friend and unique character as most of us know - I'm sure he was smiling down on all with that perpetual grin!

    Beautiful and fun Friday on Keuka, annual fall trip with my son - steady morning bite, reeled up many 18" - 22" healthy-looking lakers, all on retrieve using glow/chart.-tailed shakers, 3/4oz white jigheads, 80 - 100', fished near state park, all released. Marked very little bait. (Hoped to stop for lunch at Seneca Farms on the way home, but found they are closed for the season, bummer.) double trouble... Left our big dog home and took our little guy with us instead, very unimpressed with the fish... deeeeep concentration...

    ...yes, may seem weird, but when they're bunched up shallow in the spring (for the short time they are), game on... Good luck fella's, going to be a great summer!

    ...does seem odd fishing that shallow, have tried it with good results the last couple of years -- once the sun peeks over the hill though it gets quiet in a hurry.

    Broke in some winter jigging rod builds last weekend (King Ferry) - steady bite 5:30 - 7:30am, 25 fow avg. 1/2oz jig w/ usual green/white plastics. 0 lampreys, sawbellies are in thick.

    Congrats cronoticed with that nice laker, a sign of good things to come on Cayuga I hope! Spoke to you briefly Saturday at the ramp, I was the guy trying to get the Sea Ray started (needs new points). I jigged a couple hours earlier in the a.m. without much luck, cold water still gripping mid-lake...

    ...launched at Long Pt. Sat, very few laker marks north toward the college, same heading to camp at King Ferry. Water temps 36 - 39 along the way. Areyounuts - Bottom was littered with dead gobies off dock.
