  1. Good luck to all! Ry & I hope to attend one of these years, unfortunately we're busy at home this weekend. Mike
  2. I still enjoy using a Lowrance X85 after testing out other updated units over several years of jigging. Its "Fastrac" (quick scrolling) mode makes it easy to track jigs, fish on bottom, etc. without delay. 3000W P-P, 375W RMS. A bottom-lock feature would be my only wish for this unit, but that's just a minor inconvenience. Discontinued, but they pop up quite often on auction sites for well under $200.
  3. Sounds great - thanks for the info!
  4. I am unfortunately unable to attend the Watkins show today. Please pm me if anyone has contact info regarding Joe Kane and his victrolas - very appreciated! Thanks, Mike
  5. Wire is sold, thanks for your interest
  6. A big Thank You out to Scott, Mower, Barney, Bear, Lansing CC, and everyone else involved. We had a fun day, your efforts are very appreciated! Great to meet friends new and old at the park too! Mike & Ryan Canavan
  7. Mostly plastics - shakers, fin-s-fish, & tube jigs.
  8. Thanks Pete, life's been a rollercoaster the last couple of years, nice to settle in a bit!
  9. Jigging is definitely addicting and I really enjoy watching my kids reel in big fish on light tackle. Put my trolling gear in storage several years ago after a trip out with John Gaulke (very highly recommended - fingerlakesanglingzone.com) and haven't touched it since.
  10. Nice fish Scott!
  11. Experienced a fun couple of hours on Cayuga Sunday a.m. jigging with my son. Good early bite, but the wind won the battle around 8am and we headed in (14' boat). Caught several all sizes, including these 11lb+ lakers, all released...
  12. Scott, mind if I come down the road and take a peek this weekend? Thanks, Mike
  13. Wilcox General store, Rt 34B in Ledyard (just N of King Ferry) offers non-ethanol. Other NY locations: http://pure-gas.org/index.jsp?stateprov=NY
  14. Here's another graph if interested - Cayuga lake level at Ithaca, 12hr updates and forecast... http://water.weather.gov/ahps2/hydrogra ... gage=icyn6
  15. Thanks Iron Duke, appreciated!
  16. I have a few items that I may be interested in selling (motorized and std victrolas for copper pulling, flutter spoons, etc.) Do I need to purchase a booth? Contact info? Many thanks! Mike
  17. Congrats to the winners! And thanks Scott for your time and effort! Rough going this weekend for small-boat jigging, I spent more time bailing out our 14'r than fishing. My 13yr old son and I managed around 10 lakers before giving up early Sat a.m., most 4 - 6lb fish. A dumb-dad moment - I told my son that his 8.8lb laker wouldn't make the board, filleted it instead. I'm headin' for the doghouse!
  18. That's a great start - to fine tune I would more than highly recommend a trip out with Capt. John Gaulke, http://www.fingerlakesanglingzone.com. John's an expert at this method and will have you addicted to jigging in no time flat!
  19. Nice 16', 54"-beam Jon boat with 2008, 20hp 4-stroke Yamaha for sale. Both in excellent condition, motor has less than 10hrs on it. Includes 6gal gas tank, oars, two anchors, paddle, boat cover, stand and trailer. Asking $3500 or best offer. Located in Athens, PA. Selling for a friend - please contact Paul at (570)888-0481 for all inquiries.
  20. ...I don't see this event currently listed on their site Scott, has it been cancelled? Thanks - Mike
  21. Muireadach, I hope you enjoy Keuka, it's a beautiful lake. I would highly recommend booking a (jigging) trip with Capt. John Gaulke one day that week if you're targeting lake trout, and flyfishing for several species is another forte of his too. John really knows his stuff - you won't be disappointed! His website is http://www.fingerlakesanglingzone.com Good luck!
  22. Awesome encore Rusty Rat, congrats!
