I've been running subtroll for a couple decades now. Never had many issues in all that time. Had one probe go in that time. They don't sell them anymore but you can occasionally run across a complete unit for sale on this site. Probes and parts are still available to purchase if you need them.

I see Brunswick bought Navico in 2021/2022. Like I stated in my post the 2nd simrad I bought was somewhere over 10 or so years ago I believe was an AP21. They were not the same as Lowrance. I also said I'm not sure about now but thanks for the info. I had a Simrad AP12 when Navico bought Simrad and they discontinued that model. Shame because it was a good, accurate, reliable low cost unit that I ran for a good number of years on my 25" Wellcraft with an outboard and kicker.

No there not. Lowrance bought Simrad, or more accurately the company that bought lowrance (I believe it's Navico) also bought simrad but they're not the same. At least not 10 yrs ago buddy. Now couldn't tell you for sure. Hank, L&M marine could probably chime in though as he's installed both on a lot of boats.

Check out simrad before you make a decision. Ran simrad on my last 2 boats with hydrolic steering and never had a problem. ( about 20 yrs) Did everything I wanted them to do and dependable.

Wanted LOOKING FOR A DROP IN 350 OMC MOTOR

Call Hank (L&M Marine) from this site. He will take care of you but he's very busy now. -
Gambler is right as far as the natural reproduction of Browns. They'll spawn when the time comes but there is no significant amount of natural reproduction in the lake. Where he's wrong is the Landlocked Atlantic salmon reproduction goes. NY gets federal money here because the LL'S are a native species, just like the Lakers are. The reproduction rate is low but it's free federal money for the state. Tiger Trout stocking in the lake would be entirely on the state. Ain't going to happen and it shouldn't

Should be. I got mine directly from daiwa but that was a few years ago. Call them. Usually it's the clicker pawl and the clicker spring if the shaft on the button isn't worn. Shouldn't be more that a few bucks so I ordered spares when I got mine. In fact let me check my reel repair box and see if still have them. I remember I sold daiwa parts package to somebody on this site but I don't remember exactly what. If you can take that side cover off and post a picture of the inside that would help.

Tail leader behind 8 inch spin-doctor flasher

I ran my fly leaders at 24" from the bottom of the hook to the top of the loop. You can change the action of the fly with your trolling speed. Ice cold water early season I would run my leaders at 21" when a slower trolling speed would produce better. Better snap at slower speeds. It's important to stay consistent with your leader length so when you dial something in all your rigs are basically doing the same thing.
