Don't know what your are referring to. Please explain as I'm not objecting to anything. I would be glad to simplify things for you. When the new administration took office in 2016 the big deal was how the great lakes would suffer, the air and water quality would suffer due to de-regulations and lack of funding. Turns out the funding increased and the Great Lakes benefited immensely. Anything else you don't understand feel free to ask. Thats my past experience.
See what I mean? I tried my best not to get political and stated undeniable facts from past experience and it's a clown show now.. Anyway keep asking the questions and keep us posted on whats going on. Thanks buddy.
No nothing wrong with asking questions. Speculation is not great though buddy especially if you don't want to make it political. Keep us posted please. Thanks. I'm hoping NY state doesn't funnel the resources into illegal aliens but I think you're OK as far as federal funding. Again appreciate you keeping an eye on whats going on.
2016/2017 all the doom and gloom was met with more funding from the administration. Donald JR is a big time sportsmen. You do know he would fish the Salmon river and Lake Ontario every fall, mostly with Troy Creasy of High Adventure Sportfishing if memory serves. I saw him eating in Altmar Hotel one evening in the fall at the same time I was having dinner. You seeing any bad stuff happening or you still working on speculation?
I've run Yozuri Crystal Minnows on the big pond for browns many times because they work so well on my home waters. They caught fish but not like I was hoping and not as good as Rapalas or Smithwicks.. Never ran Bay Rats as I didn't find the need to. Mexico Bay for 20 yrs and ran Charters for about 15. Retired now. Assorted Rapalas , especially split bodies, at a slow troll and Smithwicks when the water started to warm up, the Browns got more aggressive and I increased my trolling speed.
Yup. I've been biting my tongue trying not to get involved and it's been tough LOL.You keep an eye on things and let us know when the bad stuff starts happening. Thanks. I've heard it all in 2017 and the bad stuff never started happening.
PM Hank, L&M marine in port bay about this. He's a moderator on this site. He will steer you straight and can do the work for you.. He timed my straight inboard to my kicker and I went years without any problem.
I've been running subtroll for a couple decades now. Never had many issues in all that time. Had one probe go in that time. They don't sell them anymore but you can occasionally run across a complete unit for sale on this site. Probes and parts are still available to purchase if you need them.
I see Brunswick bought Navico in 2021/2022. Like I stated in my post the 2nd simrad I bought was somewhere over 10 or so years ago I believe was an AP21. They were not the same as Lowrance. I also said I'm not sure about now but thanks for the info. I had a Simrad AP12 when Navico bought Simrad and they discontinued that model. Shame because it was a good, accurate, reliable low cost unit that I ran for a good number of years on my 25" Wellcraft with an outboard and kicker.
No there not. Lowrance bought Simrad, or more accurately the company that bought lowrance (I believe it's Navico) also bought simrad but they're not the same. At least not 10 yrs ago buddy. Now couldn't tell you for sure. Hank, L&M marine could probably chime in though as he's installed both on a lot of boats.
Check out simrad before you make a decision. Ran simrad on my last 2 boats with hydrolic steering and never had a problem. ( about 20 yrs) Did everything I wanted them to do and dependable.
These are two I run and this place typically has the best price on Scotty accessory's

.
I've been using Scotty pinch pads since 1994. No reason to try anything else. Large size for salmon and deep lakers small size for shallow water (40 ft or less) spring Browns with light line. Good luck with your decision and if you need anymore details let me know.
