    Strictly personal preference. Fish it a couple times and see if it works for you. You can always remove it later.

    Otter Boats will run just fine with a single keel if they are set up right. The location of the knot in the tow line harness has a lot to do with how they run.Sorry I don't remember the lengths off hand as it's been a good number of years since I've done it but somebody will chime in with the numbers or contact Big John directly and they will tell you The double keels are for when you are pulling long coppers.

    Actually the statistics I saw claim the US as 3rd in the world for homicides and drops considerably if you eliminate Chicago, Detroit, Washington D.C. and New Orleans. Those four cities have the toughest gun laws in the country. Perhaps this country needs less criminals. Get them off the streets what a concept. Oh ya, I forgot they have rights.

    The only upgrade they had was the same pads SS frame. Thats why I'm looking for some info on the other name brands.

    So I bought a couple of West Marine folding Deck chairs a few years ago. Nice and comfortable but as far as quality they basically sucked. Cheap vinyl that started to peel off in no time and the frame was cheap and distorted quickly and didn't hold up. I got to get a couple more and I am looking for feedback, negative or positive, on the different brands. Thanks Glen

    I ran the 172 or maybe a 182C on my last boat for many years. Nothing but good things to say about it and not a lick of trouble. It went with the boat when I sold it.

    When it comes to gps, I've always had really good luck with Garmin.

    I would recommend swivel bases and the extendable booms as those two features will give you a lot more flexibility than a fixed location and boom length.

    I wouldn't recommend running NK mags for early, cold water Browns. Larger spoons like the Stinger Stingrays definitely have there place. Generally speaking larger baits for aggressive fish and smaller baits for fish that are in a negative mood is a good rule of thumb.
