  1. Heres the post I was referring to Rich. There ain't many Salmon in Mexico Bay yet period and this didn't seem like a report to me. As far as me posting reports, I used to post a lot when I was a recreational fishermen. Since I started my business I just fish, mind my own business and make my customers as happy as I can. Hope you have a great season. Todays trip.
  2. Jesus Rich. From the sounds of your first post it sounded like you were hitting some fish. How many hours per fish you putting in?
  3. You could always change the arm if it's not an automotive style. Not that much money.
  4. I been running a couple of Tekotas with dry carbon washers for 2 seasons now and they are fine so far. These are pulling dypsys with wire so they take some abuse.
  5. How do you get it off the upholstery, floor and walls of the boat big Dave? LOL
  6. Much more than 15 ft of lighter line and you will have problems with fleas. Splice the lines together then attach swivel. You can splice using a knot or a small spro bearing swivel in either size 8 or 10.
  7. I'm hoping his hat still fits him after this post. LOL
  8. Tough to beat Hank. Man knows his business.
  9. Scotty pinch pads.
  10. Call Hank, L&M from this board in Port Bay. Man knows his business.
  11. You could call a couple local marinas and see if they could recommend somebody.
  12. Just got back from watching the sunset at Mexico Point. Shes laying down.
  13. BINGO !!! However as in any situation there are exceptions. If that boat is outside all by himself fishing, and you see his net go a couple times and you move into the area he is working then the responsibility is on you to give up the room. Just a little common sense as well as a little common courtesy. The two go a long way in making for an enjoyable day. Happy fishing.
  14. This boat is docked near me. Always runs good and loaded with tackle. Good deal so check her out.
  15. I ran 3 different trolling plates on an aluminum boat with a 90 hp Merc. Two of them sucked and one was great. The good one was an aluminum Happy Troller that was hinged and spring loaded in the middle of the plate itself. That prevented any damage if i forgot to put it up before I took off and it allowed me to kick up the rpms when I needed to straighten out the boat because of wind drift.\ It was deployed and raised via a pull cord. Biggest advantage was it allowed me to get my speed where I wanted even trolling with a strong wind. Prior to that I was always fishing into the wind to get my speed down and that really sucked. Biggest disadvantage was a significant increase in fuel consumption when I had to use it but as far as I am concerned it was worth it. I just raised it when docking or running so lack of control was not an issue. Good luck
  16. Congratulations!! You sure put in your time. Enjoy and good luck with the fishing.
  17. Head west. Turn right in Michigan.
  18. Some guys believe in it some don't. Personally I don't. I used to bust a friend of mines a$$ all the time years ago when he used to fish the big pond. I would call him in on my fish to help him out, he would show up with that black box going and shut my fish down every time. LOL. He was a firm believer it helped and he caught fish. I fished three different boats over the years and never had one and caught and catch plenty of fish. There is no substitute for hours on the water and knowing your targeted species.
  19. I'll take the 3 on the ugly sticks if they are the down rigger models Dennis I think 1100 series. See you this weekend.
  20. I'm not superstitious. Drink the booze and rename the freaking boat. Kinda like "Gotta Bite" as well
