  1. Salmon season is starting. Fish are spread out but nice quality with the biggest at 27 lbs. Hit some big Steelhead out in 200-225 with Lakers down deeper and although we didn't fish for them heard there were some Browns moving back in 30-40 fow. Wife and I were just out searching and relaxing for the mornings. Freakin hot out there Good fishing Glen
  2. Off the back of a dipsy I like 8 ft.
  3. I would recommend starting out with a snubber. They help to dissipate some of the energy caused by a big ole mean King slamming a lure. These fish will break stuff. If it's not working for you it would take all of a minute to remove it and draw your own conclusion. Good luck Glen
  4. I always run snubbers on wire dipsys and no problem with hook ups. The drags on my Tekota 600's are so smooth that I can run them set tighter than most. Only disk diver I don't run snubbers on are Slide divers because of the stretch of the 50 - 70 ft of mono leader.
  5. Hit a lot of Bass last time out 2 weeks ago. Trolling stickbaits off the boards. 8 ft of water or less. Good luck
  6. Glad everything worked out and everyone is safe Tim. Congrats on the big fish.
  7. Scottys. Small size for shallow Browns. Large ones for everything else
  8. Shark weights are great for reduced blowback. Atomic 13 lb Torpedos will do the trick for a lot less money. Good luck Glen
  9. Sub Troll does everything I need it to do. Good luck on your decision.
  10. Cold water Brown trout fishing in the bay has been great this past month. We started the 1st weekend in April and been catching many Browns a few Steelhead and a few Lakers. Happy customers have been hitting more quality fish than normal this month. Regular Brown stuff, sticks and spoons have been working with lure color, size and desired action changing with water, wind and sunlight conditions. Down side has been the wind. Rockin and rollin every weekend so far but so have the rods. Have this weekend off to hook a few of my own than at it hard for May. Good fishing Capt. Glen
  11. Everything you did on the boat is just perfect as always. Running like a top. Glen
  12. AP is alright Pete. Not as good as fast reacting as my old Simrad but it does the job I guess. Also can only turn 5 deg at a time or it will alarm out. If I had to do it again I would have spent the extra $700.00 clams and got another Simrad. Hank did a great job on the boat as always.
  13. Nice job getting your father out and hookin a couple fish for him. Good fishing Glen
  14. 8'3" Ugly stick light action downrigger rods. Tough and the action is just right for Browns, Steelies, Cohos and will hold up to the occasional, accidental King taken while Brown fishing. Good luck. Glen
  15. Yup. Long as they are the big ones. Why mono backing on copper? Braid is nice. Good luck Glen
  16. Took a King about 7 or 8 years ago with a very green back Ace fishing a pro/am out of Sodus. Fish was about 18 lbs and about maybe 67 of 7 miles west of port. Glen
  17. I went with a Si-tex that I can adapt to my existing Simrad pump.
  18. Found this picture LOL
  19. Nice fish for sure Jim. Hope all is well eith you. Glen
