  1. Surgery went as planned. Don't feel to great right now I'd much rather be fishin. Thanks again for the well wishes and bang an extra one for me will ya? Glen
  2. Thanks for the thoughts and prayers guys. I really appreciate it. Just got back from the big pond as I have been spending every minute on the water that I can. Fortunatley they have made alot of advances in Back Surgery and hopefully everything will go as planned and I'll be back on the water for the next wave of Salmon in Mexico Bay. They will be filleting me on Thursday morning. Ray and Musky, keep an eye on Richard for me. Glen
  3. Congratulations on a great job out there. You should be thrilled. Pay attention to all the small details when you take a fish and your numbers and knowlege will both grow with time. Glen
  4. Happy belated birthday Zeke. Hope it was a great one. Glen
  5. I'll buy that crappy Furuno off you to help you out. Give you a good price too! Depreciation is about 50% for used electronics plus another 25% cause it aint working right. When do you want me to pick it up? Glen
  6. I had recall work done on my 15 hp Honda a couple seasons ago. If I remember correctly they replaced the fuel chamber. Why don't you go to the Honda website for information?
  7. Nice job Big Dave. Tastey looking LL. Glen
  8. Can't help you much as I haven't been up in three weeks. At that time there were Browns from 10 fow to 50 and a few Salmon from 40 - 70 fow from Oswego to the plant. Sorry best I can do. Good luck getting the young guys and future warriors on some fish. Glen
  9. I like Muskys idea. Glen
  10. They would. Usually run the spoons about 4 ft behind. I don't need to do it often but it works at times. Also if they are hitting spoons, it's more fun to battle the fish without the attractor. Glen
  11. The fish don't know that rule I think what you might be talking about is different make spoons might have a different speed range they run better at. Like Raven said give it a shot. You can always switch back if it doesn't pan out. Good luck. Glen
  12. This is true. I've only been down to 225 ft just off bottom with my 13 lb Atomic torpedoes. If you plan to fish deeper probably want to go heavier. Good luck. Glen
  13. You aint getting any younger. Glen
  14. The Otter boats were right for the times when they were designed. The copper craze started later so Big John adapted to it. Modifications are only required if you want to run long coppers and take the abuse of the added weight and stress from the double keels. The otter boats shine in rough conditions but not everybody fishes those conditions. Glen
  15. Kings were in front of Catfish 3 or 4 weeks ago mixed in with the browns. Not alot but enough to take a couple three fish in the morning on Brown trout stuff. Didn't have a Salmon rod in the boat. Last time I fished there were a few in at the buoy line. The wife and I usually go out to the Bar for the LOC every spring, usually fish Canadian water, but the price of fuel has forced us to stay east this year. Plan is to target a big brown for the derby in the mornings and mosey out a bit for salmon late morning. Could spend a day or two up north. Who knows. A big LOC King might just come out of the east this year. Knitting classes don't start until late October when the boat comes out. I'll keep you posted. Glen
  16. What I figured. The Kings were mixed in with the Browns earlier in the year. At least in the Bay I been in since the first weekend in March. Very unusual to be able to target Kings this early. If they weren't there, or if they were there and you didn't know it, you would have beat up on the poor little Browns. Don't make you a killer. Just putting your customers on fish. Leaving those Browns to target Kings you knew were their don't make you a hero. Your probably a good guy and a good fishermen. Best of luck to you this season. Glen
  17. Very nice morning trip. Conratulations on some happy customers. Got to ask. You know those salmon where there when you left those Browns or did you take a chance and go out and find them? Anybody else on those fish or were you alone?
  18. Probably the High Rocks just before the plant.
  19. Haven't fished in a couple weeks but last time I was up the fishing was HOT with a few suprise Kings around. Best Salmon fishing was in front of the plant 40-70 fow. Some Browns in there as well. Alot can change since then though.
  20. Would have to know the line diamaters of the two lines to do the math. Glen
  21. Yup. It will be fine. Glen
  22. You guys crack me up. Thanks for the kind words Big Dave. Glen
